My temperature outside my door is -38C.  The temperature at the airport is -37C.  The temperature where my truck is parked is -46C and it won't start.  Called the dipshidiot to tell him, and he was like "Really....."   Called the auto dealership where I had my truck serviced a month ago to find out if they had checked my block heater and was told no, that isn't something they do unless the customer specifically asks.  Ummm let's see, it's WINTER f**king time and I'm bringing my truck in for a bumper to bumper inspection.  How f**king specific do I have to be????

So mad right now I could scream.

Lucky 7 again!!!  In college, it was my number when I played on the baseball team....

Morning Q'ers!  Another b*&w job last nite from Winter Storm Euclid (or whatever they're calling it).  Lots of wind and rain this time, some low lying areas got flooded AGAIN....they also had people get flooded last Friday with a storm.  Fortunately, no power/tv/phone loss this time.

Working from now until Monday.  I kept thinking yesterday was Monday and today is Tuesday....in 2 weeks, everything will be back to "normal".

Here's today's pic...

Have a GREAT Thursday-that-feels-like-Tuesday-but-it's-not-because-the-holiday-was-on-Tuesday-this-week.

I went to the Frazier Historical Arms Museum this morning to see the Diana exhibit.  She was such a beautiful lady, inside and out.  Prince Charles really downgraded with that Camilla skank.  Can I say that on here?

The rest of my day will include a nap, Starbucks, and a day-long date with my DVR.  And maybe some Comfy Cow ice cream.

Just tuned into the Weather Network on TV to see if there was any updated information (airport is -29F right now) and apparently my part of the country just doesn't exist.  Nope, nothing  north of Prince George which is 6 hours south of here, until you get to Whitehorse and Yellowknife.  The rest of northern Canada is just one big empty space.  Sometimes they use if to put the logos on, in case we want to shop for President's Choice products.  FML

WHAAAAAS   ^^^^  ??

The Kennedy Center Honors was amazing last night!   Anyone watch??  Here is a 3 minute recap

They honored Dustin Hoffman, Natalia Makarova (Ballarina/Choreographer), Buddy Guy, David Letterman and my favorite band ever......LED ZEPPELIN!!!

The Hoffman and Letterman tributes were funny and really good!  I have no idea who Makarova was (shrug)

The Buddy Guy tribute was very cool! WATCH A CLIP HERE
The tribute started out with Morgan Freeman doing a brief bio on Buddy and then followed with a performance by;

Tracy Chapman came out singing "Hound Dog"

Then out came Jimmy Vaughan and Gary Clark Jr. and they did a medley of "Things I used to Do", "I'm Ready" and "Hoochie Coochie Man".

Then, out came Jeff Beck with some lady that I never heard of before by the name of Beth Hart (yes) WOW!  She has an incredible voice!!!  They sang "I'd Rather Go Blind" which brought some tears to Buddy's face.

Then, out came Bonnie Raitt to play "My Time After a While" and then everyone, mentioned above, came out to finish to "Sweet Home Chicago"  yesyesyes

For the Zeppelin tribute (WATCH HERE), it started out with Jack Black doing a little history footage and of course being his funny self!   Proclaiming they are the greatest rock and roll band ever!  And that their songs were either about Love, Vikings or Vikings making love!

The Foo Fighters (yes) started out by playing "Rock & Roll" with DAVE GROHL on Drums and their drummer (Taylor Hawkins) singing........and Grohl's drum solo at the end of that song, was IDENTICAL to Bonham's!

Then, KID CROCK (no) came out and sang "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You".....He did a good job, I just can't stand him!

Then Lenny Kravitz (yes) came out and did "Ramble On" - AWESOME!

The encore was Jason Bonham on drums, with Ann and Nancy Wilson playing "Stairway To Heaven" (WATCH HERE) with a full choir in the back.....it was incredible and Robert Plant was caught on TV crying at the end (if you watch that video ^^ it's at the 5:31 mark.......it was truly amazing!!  yesyesyes

You have to watch that Stairway To Heaven clip!

I work with someone who has Ann Wilson's hair from when that picture was taken.  She has the hots for her I think.  Apparently she has had the hairstyle since that picture was taken.  I've only known her for three years, so I wouldn't know about the since part, but her ringtones are Heart, she has Ann Wilson stuff on her car, etc. etc.

Hello.

I was filing end of the year paperwork at work and uh...Damn, they are richer than I guessed. About 450 Million richer.
They have more money than a lot of countries.  I can't believe I only asked for a $5 an hour raise.
I also can't believe I am the only employee that has ever asked for one.   They were stunned.
Squeaky wheels get the oil.  I asked for the raise and or  a 1099 for the tax man.  LOL

People starving and losing their homes, and these f*cks sit on wealth like this.   I realize they pay my bills, and I get treated better than their other "servants".    I'm very fortunate to have a job.   It's just.  Damn, that's 1 family.   TAX EM!!!   Fiscal cliff my *SS.

Other than that, no news.

Just figured out my phone has a stylus.  I may draw something.

the head pastor just came in and leaned on my desk (he has said maybe 11 words to me the whole time i've been here). he asked how long i've been here, "about to start my 6th year." and he said "i remember in your interview that you were seeing this position as kind of a holding place. something temporary.....?" crickets. ".....do you have any goals....?"

so to sum up, yes there actually is an unanswerable-er statement than "you're so quiet!"

I actually didn't know Durning by name... and in my mind, they DID die together cause you never answered. Therefore, lovers passing on the same ship type of stuff occurred in my mind.

I don't know why I stopped watching The Mindy Project. I need to catch up. Also, watched about 4 New Girls on mute. I think I would actually like it now, so I may catch up on that as well.

Yes you would like New Girl now, probably starting around the beginning of this calendar year. That's about when it stopped being a Zooey Deschanel vehicle and more of an ensemble comedy. Also, Nick Miller is basically the TV character with the closet personality to my own. The main difference is that I'm more professionally successful than Nick (in that I'm not a law school dropout bartender), but he's more personally successful (in that I have not dated people that look like Lizzy Caplan or Olivia Munn).

That's exactly how it seemed! When I wanted to know what was happening my sisters filled me in, I'm all about good buddy/friendship type shows. And it did seem more cohesive than I remember from the first 2 or 3 I watched. And I saw Munn on a few of the eps, and it seems like the cast meshes well. I like Nick a lot! Apparently, I remind them of Schmidt the most, I have no clue what that means, and it probably just mean he says obnoxious blunt sh**, because I'm not successful at all. lol. I shall give it another try.

Schmidt? Really? Maybe Jess or someone else who watches New Girl could elaborate better, but I am not able to describe Schmidt in a way that makes sense. Maybe this video will help.
#61 | 143 days ago

(Edited by Jess)
I heart Schmidt - he's a little obnoxious, a little uptight, confident, dresses well, OCD about cleanliness (that ep was on just the other night), little bit of a playboy, and I actually feel like he's kind of the glue that holds them all together. He's also got a big heart - he's teddy-bear sweet but he hides it well. He's my favorite guy...Nick actually annoys the crap out of me (sorry Eric). I love Winston too, but I think he needs more parts - his character isn't as developed as the others, I don't think.
