Today is my daughter Katies 23rd bday. About two weeks ago she says to me, mom all I want for my bday is for you to quit smoking. indecision

So, I got her a new chi and a nikon digital camera. smiley

I also yesterday at 10:15 a.m. put on my nicotine patch. It's going very well. Because I'm to damn sick to my stomach with cramps and throwing up, and effing headaches to have any kind of nicotine withdrawal symptoms!  angry

Have a good day everyone.   frown

Talk about having unresolved issues from the past.  Last night's Columbus/Detroit game was great.  3 seconds into the game and former Lincoln Star Jared Boll who now plays for Columbus gets into a fight with Jordin Tootoo of the Red Wings.  I haven't seen their past on the internet, however I am sure their must still be some bad blood from previous seasons for them to start that early with the fisticuffs.

"Submerge" by Maxwell

Over to under
Enter your wonder baby
Submerge into me baby
And take me to higher

Submerge within the light
Illuminate my night
And let your atmosphere surround me
Submerge within the light all night
Till we become the sun

See if I'm breathing
Because I'm not sure
Tonight if I'm alive
Words are demeaning
They can't describe

Submerge within the light
Til we become the sun

man, I ain't got sh*t

Avs home opener tonight, and the first time in many years that I won't be in attendance.  I am far too fancy to sit up in the upper levels. Harrumph. Go Avs, FCUK the Kings

I have tickets to see one of my favorite Canadian imports next Tuesday night (just behind hockey and ahead of Kokanee), the band Silverstein, so here's a taste

Siilverstein - American Dream

It was on our wedding day
When my heart began to stray
Never thought I'd make such a big mistake
Throw my life away

I've gone days without food
I've went weeks without sleep
Keeping this in
I've got cuts I can't close
I've got wounds that won't heal
It's all your fault

I've been shattered and wrecked
My hands covered in blood
Scars on my skin
I forgot how to feel
Now I'm weak with deceit
My skin is paper thin

We get through this
Feeling it, keeping it, holdin' it in
We go through this
Over and over again

I'd go years without tears
In a life with no fear
A life without you
Now I'm breaking my back as
I cover my tracks
My skin is paper thin once again

We get through this
Feeling it, keeping it, holdin' it in
We go through this
Over and over again

I've gone days without food
I've went weeks without sleep
Keeping this in
I've got cuts I can't close
I've got wounds that won't heal
It's all your fault

My American dream
Wasn't ever to lie, steal and cheat
He won't leave her for this
What's the point?
I wish they would die

We get through this
Feeling it, keeping it, holdin' it in
We go through this
Over and over again

We get through this
Feeling it, keeping it, holdin' it in
We go through this
Over and over again

This was not a test
This was all for real
This was not a test
This was all for real
This was not a test
This was all for real
This was not a test
This was all for real

"Bad Habits" Maxwell

Make me crazy, don't speak no sound
I want you to prove it to me in the nude
Addicted to the way you move

Honey, if anything ever should change in you
Don't worry I'm standing still
I'll move in with the right of will

This is the highest cost, take you and make you off
Love you and leave you lost, will you forgive me?
Asked out all over town, drags you and keeps you down
Two times in a day around, will you forgive me?

I can't control the feeling girl 'cause I know you're here
I feel you from the floor to the ceiling
Girl, I feel you when you comb your hair

Lady when we lock it low we get together, it's an overdose
I'm slipping, I'm here, I'm on my knees
I feel my heart's about to explode

This is the highest cost, take you and make you off
Love you and leave you lost, will you forgive me?
Asked out all over town, drags you and keeps you down
Two times in a day around, will you forgive me?

Baby to tell the truth when I'm sober I jones for you
When it's over I'm overdue
Girl there's no one as bad, no one as bad as you

You got me, you got me
You got me slippin' around with it, around with it, oh why?
You got me sick with this love baby
I'm so, I'm so in love, I can't come down

This is the highest cost, take you and make you off
Love you and leave you lost, will you forgive me?
Asked out all over town, drags you and keeps you down
Two times in a day around, will you forgive me?

You're my bad habit baby, you're my
You're takin' my soul down to the letter O
Can't escape the way you got me locked out baby
I gotta break from you, break from you, break from you

This is the highest cost, take you and make you off
Love you and leave you lost, will you forgive me?
Asked out all over town, drags you and keeps you down
Two times in a day around, will you forgive me?

Will you forgive me? Will you forgive me?
Will you forgive me? Will you forgive me?
Asked out all over town, drags you and keeps you down
Two times in a day around, will you forgive me?

I can't control the feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling [x4]

You're my soul, soul

Q'rs
how the heck is everyone? I actually stopped in to see if anyone watched, Kevin Bacon's new show The Following? I was very disappointed. It was all I could do to sit through it. Predictable all the way through, I am so disappointed.....I'm back to doing what I should be doing.....be good or learn how to lie better.

Turns out, Te'o's fake girlfriend contacted Peyton Siva, Louisville point guard, on Twitter.

It is damn cold outside.  I just want to hibernate, or find a sugar daddy who will take me to the beach.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Flogging Molly:

If I ever leave this world alive
I'll thank for all the things you did in my life
If I ever leave this world alive
I'll come back down and sit beside your
feet tonight
Wherever I am you'll always be
More than just a memory
If I ever leave this world alive

If I ever leave this world alive
I'll take on all the sadness
That I left behind
If I ever leave this world alive
The madness that you feel will soon subside
So in a word don't shed a tear
I'll be here when it all gets weird
If I ever leave this world alive

So when in doubt just call my name
Just before you go insane
If I ever leave this world
Hey I may never leave this world
But if I ever leave this world alive

She says I'm okay; I'm alright,
Though you have gone from my life
You said that it would,
Now everything should be all right

She says I'm okay; I'm alright,
Though you have gone from my life
You said that it would,
Now everything should be all right
Yeah should be alright

I think it has to be .45 caliber or above to be referred to as a 'large' shooting.

The respects are logging, they're just not showing you that they're logging right away. If you go back into the poll, you'll see that you've given a respect to that post. Also, if you go to the person's page and view their "activity" or view your own, it will show you that you gave a respect to that. So - it's all working, you just can't see it. I reported it to the techs.

No, a simple 32 inch LCD, but don't underestimate my lack of skill in all things assembly and my inability to understand the instructions (Le Grill! What the hell is that?). That said, I called my stepfather to talk me through it and got it done, so yay for the soft bigotry of low expectations.

I've never seen a TV require assembly...just the proper placement of HDMI and other such cables (i think...), of which I would never get right either.

The day after a holiday at a hospital usually sucks.  Today was actually going great until about 2:30 when out of nowhere...the transport tracking system went down, woohoo!  I called the help desk to get it fixed.  About 20 minutes later someone called from the main number and said "I just wanted to let you know transport tracking is down."  I said "yeah I know, I'm the one who called to report it!"indecision  It started working again right before I was done for the day.  I told everyone it was back up and running and flew out that door before anyone could ask me any favors!

I think I told you all last summer at the golf course that one of the ladies had completely lost it on the boss one Ladies' Night. She was drinking heavily and marched over and told the boss (Melanie) that she didn't appreciate having to eat so f***ing late, and then have to wait until 10pm for all the prizes and the putting game to f***ing take place. We both just stood there with out mouths open. they eventually talked, but things weren't the same after that. Today I found out that the woman who lost it is in hospital, not doing well at all. Her daughter is a good friend and my daughter's hairdresser, and was supposed to be doing my daughter's hair today. As I said, things were never the same after that incident, but I certainly don't wish ill of her. Please keep her in your thoughts. She really is a very nice woman most of the time. Just finished way too many days of work - 9 hour days of lifting boxes. Tomorrow and Thursday are 5 hour days. Thank God. My daughter had her initial assessment with the Orthodontist yesterday and is an excellent candidate for braces. She has to have two pre-molars pulled, but will likely have her braces put on in about 6-7 weeks. Will cost about %8K but I will get about $3500 back from insurance. The rest should be mostly covered by my income tax refund. I hope. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their week.

It looks like if you don't leave the page, you can respect something and still be able to give it one of the accolades. However, I just respected your comment and left the page and came back, and I don't have the option to give it another type of accolade. I think it does that when the Respect shows that it's working too (I could be completely mistaken though). I'll note this in the ticket, just in case.
