Good morning.  Right at this very moment, I want that silver bullet.  I know with rest it will get better, so that is what is keeping me going.  Although I was upset at having to miss work initially, mostly because the boss had "spoken" to me about the number of hours I missed last year in sick time, I realize that I really couldn't have functioned even one more day lifting boxes and rotating stock.  We have to be able to lift 35 pound boxes, and while that is all fine, having to lift those same 35 pounds over and over all day long is what is doing the damage.  I looked in the mirror last night because I can feel the difference in my back, but I wanted to see if it was visible as well, and it is.  Just call me Quasimodo.

So yesterday Janie's high school officially went book free.  Every high schooler now has an apple laptop at a cost to the school district of 450,000 dollars. 


I would be ok with this if, teachers have not had so many cuts in their class rooms that they cannot afford the basic tools to teach. That classrooms have now been cut to the point that they are combining classes and having them in the gym. The only language now offered is spanish, which is fine except for the seniors that took french for 3 years and couldn't finish it.  If the band wasn't so cut that everything they do now is pretty much paid for by the boosters(the marching band is one of the best in the state and, the most award winning team Aurora has) of course the football teams budget wasn't touched even though they suck. 


  I get the tree thing, and that is the only good thing I can see about this. I would also understand it if this school district was not cutting everything else. Last year 9 teachers lost thier jobs because of cuts. This makes no sense to me. 

I feel your pain.  Our school district had recently purchased iPads, citing we need to make sure our students are up on the latest technology.  They took from construction bonds (the terminology included technology.  Of course, we figured smart boards and network technology, not glorified books.) and also from some of the local tax districts (Mello Roos)   Of course, they didn't plan it all out like they should.   And they are not working from seniors down, but 7th grade up. (They were trying to keep students from choosing local charter schools).

Right. Watching today...still waiting on my movie review as well. Movie 43 comes out tomorrow.

Note to self: Look up "Chopper".

It's DVD not streaming on Netflix. Sometimes I hate Netflix. Really, no stream!? What is this? The 80's??

When you quit smoking, does nicotine come out of your pores? I swear to God it's coming out of mine. Katie just said mom you smell like a pack of cigarettes. I had been out doing yard work, so I wonder when you sweat if it can do that? 

TIPS for quitting:

Eat 3 oranges a day for a week, starting NOW DAMN IT! 

Drink lots of water!   The natural VIT C and water will flush out  a lot of the nicotine and toxins in your system. Trust me, I've quit smoking 5x in my life.

Good Luck and yes, the nicotine smell can evaporate from your pores....doesn't happen to everyone naturally, but if you are exercising and working up a sweat, you can definitely smell it.  p.u.
