Good morning. Welcome back. I will be continuing this until jasonsmall returns. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

So, I turned the xbox on to watch Bronson and then proceeded to get my child ready for bed. The tv was on Reba when I left. When I came back, Tom Arnold was giving a precap to what was about to happen on My Big Redneck Vacation.  I've never watched anything with redneck in the title, esp since I'm kinda over all this open culture-ism and I don't love the connotation of the word, but whatever, apparently everybody in louisiana is gonna milk the sh** out of this phenom, and I understand. Get it however you can. Anyway, the precap was intriguing... what registered was rednecks, hamptons, "hockey with horses", north vs. south....IN. Oh, and the polo instructor looked like a snotty Richard Simmons. So, for the first time I watched this show, and I was glued to my tv like :|. It was quite entertaining, let me tell you. It also was more than enough to last me forever. I'll never watch again. Maybe, I'll get to Bronson tonight. Oh, I shall be watching Swamp pawn tomorrow, though.

The end of the last Modern Family made me laugh way too much. Way too much. Psych is almost back! I haven't watch House of Lies or Shameless yet, how are those going? When is TWD back? I need to watch the last episode soon.

Kiss stuff.

First?  YESS!!!

Morning Q'ers!  This weekend will be kind of a let down due to there being no real football on.  I don't watch the pro bowl normally because it is kinda boring.  I'll just have to get used to hockey on Sunday afternoons now.

Speaking of hockey, WTF is happening to those two great teams, the RANGERS and the KINGS?  I haven't seen any Kings games yet, but the Rangers are the same old Rangers....they need to SHOOT....THE.....PUCK!!! They had a 5 on 3 advantage for 2 minutes lat night and got 2 shots on goal....HELLOOOOO....they try to look too pretty with their passes.  If the Kings play at an earlier time, or on a weekend, I'll try to catch them.  They've yet to win a game....at least the Rangers won one.

We were supposed to get snow here today, but fortunately, it didn't come.  It's still cold, though...it's been in the teens and single digits overnight, and the highs haven't gotten out ot the 20's all week.  It is supposed to warm up to the 30's by Sunday.

Here's today's pic....

Have a GREAT weekend!

Morning, Everybodee!

I've started looking for a hotel to stay in when my daughter goes for the honor band performance at CSULA.   Alas, a good portion of the closest hotels are i East LA.  If I'm by myself, I think I could manage, but I'm going to have my daughter and at least one other to keep an eye on.    Hmmm, I wonder if we can crash at Teach or Cali_Kat's place.    Nah, don't want to inflict that much insanity.

TOP 5, WOOHOO!  TGIF...I'm off work today and it's snowing, we have a winter weather advisory in effect.  However, I am transferring my pictures and important documents onto one of my flash drives, and then going shopping for a new macbook laptop!  My cheap printer and cheap speakers are also just about dead, so the whole thing is getting replaced at once.  All 3 pieces have lasted me 5 years, the laptop and printer got me through college and they've served me well, but it's time to bid a fond farewell.  I want the mac, but I will say this, anyone looking at getting a pc as opposed to a mac, go with HP.  I have loved them.

BK over and out

Happy Friday, Q!

I just want to take a moment to Thank all of you for being a part of my life!  Even though I chose to come on here and whether some of you like what I have to say or not or whether you like my personality or not and even the fact that none of us have ever met (me personally), I appreciate all of you for what you have to offer in my day-to-day time that I spend on here. I honestly believe that people come into our lives for a reason, whether it be a good or bad experience, they play some part in our lives, even if  for a few minutes. Please make an effort to appreciate everything that you have and take nothing for granted. Life is too short and precious.
Thank You, Q family!  heart

Ok, now that I got my "Nancy-ass" side of me out laugh,  PLAY BALL!

The Blackhawks overcame a 2-0 deficit, on the road in Dallas, to win and go 4-0 on the season!  Patrick Kane had a "sick". no look, behind the back, pass to Hossa for the GW, PP, OT winner!  We have Columbus tomorrow night!

The Bulls have 2 ALL-STARS (LUUUUUU-OL DENG  (2X) & JOKIM NOAH (1X)......but, what puzzles me are the ALL-STAR snubs!

None of these guys made the All-Star team:

Stephen Curry (GS) | 20.9 PPG, 6.6 AST, 4.1 REB
Brook Lopez (BKL) | 18.6 PPG, 7.4 REB,
Paul Pierce (BOS) | 18.9 PPG, 5.7 REB, 3.9 AST
Deron Williams (BKL)| 17.0 PPG, 7.8 AST
Serge Ibaka (OKC) | 14.0 PPG, 8.3 REB, 2.8 BLK
Al Horford (ATL) | 15.6 PPG, 9.8 REB, 3.3 AST
Kenneth Faried (DEN) | 12.0 PPG, 9.8 REB
Al Jefferson (UTAH) | 17.1 PPG, 9.8 REB, 2.1 AST
Brandon Jennings (MILW) | 18.7 PPG, 5.8 AST
Josh Smith (ATL) | 16.7 PPG, 8.3 REB, 3.9 AST
David West (IND)| 16.6 PPG, 7.8 REB, 2.8 AST

And the ATLANTA BRAVES have both UPTON brothers on their team!  Now, if they can only get KATE UPTON, I would become a HUGE fan!  cheeky

So......the game between the Kings and Oilers? I need new lucky chonies. There isn't anything I can do about my Kings tat, so the Kings better start winning.

1. played entirely on special teams
2. Kings can't score
3. I guess it's OK to litter your ice, but only if it's in Canada.
4. That Russian is pretty badass
5. The Kings power play looks like it did last season. Different coach----same result.

Positives:
1. Quick was great. That one save on the Russian was AMAZING.
2. D-men filling in for Mitchell and Greene are continuing in beast mode.

****Kids get a free day on Monday and I get to go to an inservice at another school followed up by some kind of terrorism prevention class-----> should be interesting.

Hey. I know I have been a slacker in here, I apologize, but my sports teams can rip my heart out sometimes. Stupid me, I still love each one of those ******s tons.

Falcons, what a ride. Thanks, I hate that Tony G. doesn't have a shot at a ring this year.

Things I want for the Falcons in 2013:
1) DBs to show up next year
2) a super TE draft pick
3) a defensive coordinator who can come up with a defensive scheme that INCLUDES defending tight ends
4) Matt Ryan to spend all of the off season begging and crying like a ***** to Gonzalez about hanging in there one more season
5) come to the realization that there ARE two halfs (halves, what the **** ever) in each football game you play
6) good health

Braves, I like what you are doing. The Hanson-Walden trade had me scratching my head but the thought of the Upton brothers and Heyward in the outfield is just fine with me. I will miss Prado and I will attempt to draft him for my fantasy teams. The ties that bind.

Kings, the Teach is so mind kicking you right now. Score already, will ya. Come on.

Super Bowl XLVII... you are dead to me, speaking of sour grapes.

Have a great weekend folks. Stay safe and warm.

Later.

Hola peoples.

Avs won their second in a row, but have a 4 game roadie coming up that should really test them. I really don't like their defense, but goalie Semyon Varlamov has been unreal so far.

Because of that game, I didn't get to the Broken City review.. Maybe tonight

Ashlie, I can't express my disappointment that Bronson was pushed aside for My Big Fat Redneck Vacation Wedding and Swamp People.

i started watching parks & recreation last night and it's adorable. i kinda wish i cared about anything the way the main chick cares about everything.

i have to go to home depot after work to rent a drain snake. i tried using my daddy's plain old snake, but within minutes, i was up to my t**s in food boogers (god knows how old) and my kitchen was bombed by this explosion of stink that was uncannily milkfarty. so, i'm getting a powered snake and i'm gonna blast this emm-effing clog. i miss my dishwasher, dammit and i am starting to have bad dreams about salmonella. the review on the superduty one i intend on renting brags about swift execution, but the shortest rental window is 4hours, so it looks like i'm gonna be snaking just about anything i can get it in to. i'd really like to snake a pumpkin, but i don't think i can get those anywhere this time of year. so wish me luck!

lastly, for valentine's day, i am getting the boy tickets to go see the new die hard in 3d imax for a total emulsion of testosterone and special effects. well, either that or underpants that don't droop.

You have to wait on your #3 since Denver needs one worse.  We made household names out of Dennis Pitta and other's like him.  Fantasy fan's were virtually assured of 100+ yards, 7-10 catches and at least 1 td everytime their starting tight end played Denver.

I had a weird moment of wanting to shoot an elk with an arrow yesterday. Kinda freaked me out.

I did find the bow I want:

This has just turned in to a new hobby - target shooting. I have no desire to hunt anything, ever. I had a different bow picked out but they don't make it in a draw weight less than 45lbs. I'm not saying I'm weak, but...yea, no. I need around 25, no more than 30. We've gone to the archery range a couple of times now, and I'm in love. Pretty, isn't it?

Speaking of hobbies, listen to what my friend (and neighbor) made! Move Something

P.S. I can't wait until I live somewhere that I can watch youtube, netflix, and not have to drive 2 hours for a bag of dog food.

That Quick save was one for the "Best of...." reels this week.  Insane!!

I was embarrassed by the display by the Oilers' fans last night, and thankful I hate the team anyway, because I sure would hate them after that.  The overhead camera clearly shows Gagnon trying to hold Quick's leg and keep him from regaining his position in goal, and that is clearly Goalie interference.  The way the announcers were carrying on, and the way the so called fans were carrying on was disgusting.

It is NOT okay to litter the ice, no matter where you are!  angry

I'm thinking you enlarged the picture of the bow, yeah, cause otherwise you could just shoot yourself outta that.  I see it now: you in your kick arse belly dancing outfit, flying through the air....

Q'rs I had a very large needle inserted into my knee and watched some goop come out. PEACE

Friday afternoon news dump: I requested to rotate to a different department that does financial management audits, and the request was granted. While I'm still apprehensive because I never make correct decisions, but this gets me out of a toxic situation, so it should be a net positive.

The Capitals are a smoldering dumpster fire at this point. Completely lost on defense, the PP and PK are both terrible, and the top line doesn't have a goal yet. Thus they have the dubious distinction of being the only team in the league without a point. I'm guessing people are going to notice that soon, probably tonight when the Devils kick their ass.

We didn't make fun of the Phillies nearly enough for signing Delmon Young with the intention of starting him in right field.

Obvious corollary of any and all All-Star Game snub talk, regardless of sport that no one remembers: Which players named to the teams does one take out?

Racing season starts tomorrow with the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. Debi and I will have a live thread going this weekend if you're curious.

Hah - I actually had to shrink it but I left it big enough that you could see the detail/woodwork on the riser, which part of what I love so much about the bow. Thank you for that fun visual though! That gave me a giggle.

She actually had 20.  Some are buried under the others.

I am SO surprised that drunk typo Christi did NOT make an appearance on this website last night.  I went to dinner (2 large margaritas), Uptown Art Uncorked (1 bottle of sangria) and The Connection (gay club, don't remember how many/what type of beverages I consumed).  Tons of fun, what i remember of it.

Glad you had fun.  I love nights like that, except that I end up smoking.  Then i feel like sh** the next day, because of the smoking, not the alcohol.

I really wish we had a gay club here.  Highlight of my year is the Gay Hallowe'en bash.  I missed last year and I will not miss it again.

With our smoking ban including bars and the fact that it's damn cold outside, I'm not tempted to smoke when I drink this time of year.  I HATE the smoking hangover, not to mention the smell.

After I commented, I thought about that scene in Thank You For Smoking where the anti smoking fringe  kidnap Nick and cover him with nicotine patches.  The only thing that saved him was that he was a life long smoker.  (The irony)
So I watched the movie again this a.m.

Classic.   Reminds me of the gun lobby.

Must be a film about that.

Best part of the evening was these two girls.  They were REALLY hot, especially together.  It is always so nice to see two people who are truly in love.  They came out to celebrate their anniversary.  And, since my filter is blown when I've been drinking, I'm sure I spent the evening telling them how hot they were.

Yeah, well, I can't say I didn't do that because much of the evening is lost in a drunken haze.

Now, if they can only get KATE UPTON, I would become a HUGE fan!  cheeky

Thanks Nick! I mean Really... THANKS!
