Do you plan to watch the Super Bowl in a small or large group? (Edited 02/20/13 10:34PM by SusanVette)
Some people watch the big game with maybe 1-2 other people, other's get together for large parties.  My question is what's your choice and do you have a favorite food/drink item you bring with you?

Me and the boys and some kind of food. I can stay in my jammies all day, don't have to worry about drinking to much, or watching my mouth ....I am sure my "swear jar" will get a bunch of quarters Sunday!

This looks good for the pregame show, then I'll get serious.

We usually have a pretty big party with several TV's playing the game (we do this for kickoff Sunday too). Sometimes it's potluck, and it's always BYOB.

Last year we got a ton of sammich fixin's and did a "build your own" sammich buffet. I also made some snack mix, veggie/ranch cups, li'l smokies in bbq sauce, li'l smokies in a blanket, 3 types of wings, and since Cortez Kennedy had just been announced as a member of the 2012 HOF class I made a bunch of little Tez cookies.

This year I was in the midst of making plans to do a similar food spread, and have a party in the gym at the Coast Guard base with the game on a projector but I changed my mind...we're gonna go hang out at the archery range instead. Maybe next year cheeky

I just found out from my mom that my sister/brother-in-law aren't even going to watch the game because the Seahawks didn't make it.  All three of them live in Poulsbo, WA.  My brother-in-law is stationed at Puget Sound Naval Base.  Even when the Broncos don't make it, I still watch the game.

Haha that's funny. I'm not avoiding it because the Seahawks didn't make it...I've watched the Super Bowl every year for as long as I can remember. (I tried to avoid it the year the Steelers and Packers went because I didn't think I could handle watching Pittsburgh win another one but I caved). The Seahawks have only gone one year, and I still do a huge thing for the game every year. I just can't get into it this year.

I think there's such a huge rivalry brewing between the two teams (Hawks/Niners); the fans hate each other, the teams hate each other, the coaches hate each other - that even the possibility of a Niners win has turned a lot of Hawks fans away from the game this year. I don't know if you remember the rivalry between the Hawks and Broncos when the Seahawks were in the AFC West but I think it's gotten worse than that.

I loved it back when both teams were in the same division.  Steve Largent,Kenny Easley and Curt Warner brought it and did it cleanly.  I loved Bosworth at Oklahoma, not so much when he played Denver.

Having a hell of a time deciding where and who to watch the game with this year. Its time to put the exclamation mark on an incredible year for the city by the bay.

I don't hate you either Nima! In fact, I have probably 3 or 4 really good friends who are Niners fans who have been there loud and proud for as long as I can remember. I respect you guys like that...unfortunately (like with any fan base, including obnoxious Hawks fan trolls), there are some out there that just make the whole base look bad to rivals. I bet you hate Pete as much as I hate Harbaugh though cheeky

I usually go somewhere, but at the moment I'm not in the mood, I think I'm staying home. I may cook, I may not. This is probably apathy.

apathy at it's finest

I would like to set up a kegger party, but I'm not sure if it's going to be possible with all my friends' plans. I may end up going to a bar with someone and watching it there, like I do with the regular season / playoff games. frown

I know, I'm trying to muster some give a damn.

depends on if i'm interested in the game or not. for example, this year, i'll be going to a party with too many people and booze to really pay attention. i'm making shredded salsa chicken that i practiced last night and woo-doggy (felt appropriate) it's good.
