Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Have you ever been standing on an elevator and once it starts to fill, you start looking for the capacity sign? In GA, that's around the 7th or 8th person and you start to wonder. You find the sign, then start to add. Okay if I weigh 359lbs, that big bitch has to weigh 427 easy. So, you've done the math, accurate too, and now you start trying to figure out how you will live if this damn cable snaps. There are no rails on this damn elevator, no nothing, crap. Man, another person just got on. Aw hell. Hmmm, I'm gonna have to jump on this 427 lb bitch.

Morning!

My hand is dry and cold.......and in serious need of some lotion, but look at this beauty. They aren't too shabby. I was picturing a plastic ring with a page of do it yourself stickers. lol

AND.....YES......I'm totally wearing it to school today..............even if it keeps "hula hooping" around my middle finger.

It's Jan. 29th, I have all the windows in my house open, we are under tornado watches and warnings, and this winter sucks! Whatever happened to snow storms in Jan?  sad

I'll tell you what happened! Some idiot had to come up with global warming and be right about it!   angry

I WANT SOME SNOW!

Oh, and the no smoking thing is going very well. smiley

I've already had the A/C on this year! It's FLorida, but still would like a little cooler weather to let me know that it's winter still! Oh well, time to put on the shorts and go for a walk, before the cold front hits tomorow and takes us all the way down to the 60's... Brrrrr... ;)

Wasted another 3 hours of my life last night watching WWE Raw, hoping to at least get some satisfaction seeing Paul Heyman fired yet again.  Only he didn't get fired, once again that extremely big waste of space Brock Lesnar made his once a year appearance and put 200 year old Vince McMahon thru his F-5 move.  Now with Rock,Goldust, Chris Jericho and Lesnar all making appearances the last 48 hours it seems like late 90's are back.  Time to dust off the Undertaker since Wrestlemania is just around the corner.

Hi again you lovely people.

My Avalanche looked absolutely awful last night, allowing 4 power play goals and losing 4-1.. It's always nice when you have 3 shots in the first period then show up with 23 in the 3rd.. Inconsistent as all hell

I can't believe I fell asleep and didn't see the Kings complete that comeback win

I'm doing a fantastic job of ignoring all the BS surrounds two weeks at the Super Bowl

Tonight I get to pretend I'm a little bit younger and head out to the Summit Music Hall for some loud guitars, breakdowns, sweet melodies and a lot of screaming.. With the possibility of elbowing a twink in skinny jeans.  I don't know, I don't know if I'll have enough time.  But here's a taste of what's in store for the night, headlined by Silverstein.. In a stunning coincidence, I actually look like Shel Silverstein's doppleganger right now as I haven't shaved my beard in a couple months

Ashlie, I completely understand the elevator thing.

The only time I ever have an opportunity to ride one is if I am visiting someone at the hospital. I'm not sure why, but pressing a button for an elevator works much like waving a 'free beer' sign in the air. People pop up out of nowhere. I usually will hold the door for folks to load up and while they are totally thinking I am being a gentleman (and/or a dumba**), I am counting bodies and assessing poundage. It's crazy how folks seem to crowd on so fast as if they are going to miss something, then all turn around to look at me as if to say, 'Hey  Beans, get in here'. I just smile and tell them I'll wait for the next one. The look on the faces of the front 3 or 4 people just before the door closes is absolutely priceless.

Go Kings some more.

Gone.

What's even more interesting than that is the fact that the bears took a guy by the name of Virgil Livers a DB from Western Kentucky in the 4th round, number 83 overall.

Other than Walter Payton and Randy White, that draft class blew g*ats.

Glad to see the Lions reached for a guard in the first round that played at football powerhouse South Dakota State.....Goooooo Jackrabbits!!!

crying  such a sad day.    my uncle passed away peacefully in his sleep this morning.  he was 3 days past his 89th birthday.  he is far better off now,  as he was in a nursing home for the last 4 years. alzhiemers really took a toll on him. he forgot how to eat and wasted away.   I had seen him last summer and even though he had no clue who we were he was the same friendly guy I remember as when we were kids and spent the summers (and as adults vacationed)  in northern Wisconsin.   as always he was easy going and talkative ( sad that only he knew what he was talking about)  but we left him feeling like we just made a new best friend.  I am heartbroken and will miss him terribly. God Bless my Uncle Paul.  heart     thanks for letting me cry on your collective shoulders.

Up at 3:30.  Storms are 30-40 minutes away.  It could be hit or miss with the tornado warnings just south and west of here.  I went ahead and ate breakfast.  I guess that means I get 2nd breakfast later.  The Hobbits would be so proud.
#27 | 115 days ago

Tornado sirens at 4:15, specifically for my mom's area.  She's staying at my sister's, which doesn't put her out of the woods yet, but she's safe for now.
