Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

It's the first of the month. I paid off a loan today! YAY! I watched Do No Harm last night with White Shawn from Rescue Me. I don't like it. I'm not sure I'm going to give it another chance. It was pretty boring, though the last 15 minutes were interesting. It's on NBC so it's destined to be cancelled anyway, I'm just saying. I need to catch up on Shameless. I've missed Lipp (I spell it with 2 p's but I don't think he does). I probably should start last month's book. No one has told me when the walking dead is back yet. I've asked twice. Kinda rude. I miss old mike. The End.

I am off work today, the girls are both at school, and both work tonight.  So, that can only mean one thing........

Yep!  My couch, my remote, and a Buffy the Vampire slayer marathon.

BHawks take on Vancouver tonight!   CUCK THE FANUCKS!

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

BREATHE REPRISE
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
It’s good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells.

Avalanche finally found a way not only to score a goal, but to actually win a game.

One simple word word for TNA wrestling, why not have everyone on the roster come out wearing Aces & Eights leather jackets since pretty much 85% of them are wearing them now anyway.

There's a guy who sits a couple of rows in front of us at the Hawks games who looks just like a younger thin Vince Vaughn. He cracks me up - waving his arms up and down like wings every time they complete a pass. He's always up dancing like he's at a damn rave or something. At the game right before Christmas he brought a huge basket of Hershey's kisses and stood up, turned around, and threw them into the crowd all throughout the game. I don't know why I felt the need to tell you all of this other than I think you would love him. He's great.

I enjoyed watching the Avs/Flames game last night. It was fun to see Giguere in net.

Anyone know how to shadow box frame a jersey?

Gonna have to get some rest tonight and get ready for this weekend,
Fights on Saturday night? yes please
Super Bowl Sunday at Twin Peaks? Don't mind if I do.. But that could be a sh*t show.  A buddy of mine reserved a table for 6 of us at $60 a head.  But with that, we get $25 drink/merch vouchers, unlimited appetizers, young girls in skimpy outfits serving us, Swag Bags courtesy of the NFL and Coors Light, chances to win prizes, and most likely gambling amongst the group I'm with.

Avs need to realize what works for them and keep doing it

Work has been crazy pills lately

That's all I got, and remember.. Zombies love ice cream

I know it's Walking Dead GIFriday up in here, but I thought I'd give one last shout out to 30 Rock. The finale was great as usual, ...now here's your farewell moment of Zen.

One of the funniest running subjokes on TV over the last decade. The show about a show that had plenty of other shows on it. I don't buy or have a lot of box sets (The Wire, original UK Office, etc.) but the complete 30 Rock is going to happen just because i can watch rapid fire jokes inside of jokes inside even more jokes for hours and hours.

*sigh* Good night sweet prince.

Hi bitches.

Recovering from the flu, and I must say that the "experts" are indeed correct this year.  It IS a real bitch.  Evac cramps + flu aches = very bad, can't move off the couch for 5 days straight kinda shi**y.  Not to mention the fever, congestion, stomach pains, and endless coughing.

Sis, I wanted to watch Do No Harm since that dude from Rescue Me is my bestie's cousin.  Nice guy, married (sidenote, Billie Porter gave a speech at his wedding that made me almost pee myself), but I still say he's a little .

So I'm doing the Q Book Club this month?  If so, I'm giving this disclaimer... if I choose a book(s) that have been chosen already, I'm not redoing it.  Vote accordingly.  And if I choose 3 books that have all been read, you're reading one again or skipping a month.

Not sure I care about the Superbowl at all this year.  I'll still watch, though.  And root for the Ravens.

I'm open to anything.. I've been in a less than stellar mood lately, so I've been finding faults in anything I look at.  I wouldn't mind an Oscar thing or a first crack at a random episode of a TV series

Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

Band has a basketball game tonight.  Not sure if boys team or girls team playing.  I'll find out.

Recently received our school district news letter, which featured a student one school over who was accepted into the most recent Rose Parade honor band.    I think our band director got an email from the district arts director, sent out to all the band directors, which congratulated that school's director for his student's achievement.   I think I'm going to have to stir the waters and bring to light the fact that the student was marching with our school last year when he was recommended by our director for that chance.  (Nothing too terrible.  I want to congratulate the student for his achievement, but make mention that the district is honoring the wrong person.)  (Mainly because that director has not corrected that impression)

May you all have interesting weekends.   (No, I don't mean that as the ancient curse, I mean have a great weekend, y'all.)  (Unless you are one of my 'enemies'.  You know who you are.)

I am pissed off to the point of tears.  I have a friend who lives in Orlando.  She has epilepsy and, unfortunately, she and her doctors have never really found a cocktail of drugs that can control her seizures.  She has at least one a day, if not more.  So, with this last one, she went to the ER.  As she got released, she overheard an employee of the hospital say, "That girl's headed for the funeral home."  Amy's sarcasm brought to mind, "No s**t.  Everyone's headed for the funeral home at some point."  However, it got real when someone replied back..."Good.  I hope she stays there."  Amy is one of the kindest people I know and it breaks my heart that she is in Orlando alone and has no family to help her through this.  I know she's got good friends who watch out for her.  No one deserves to overhear a conversation like that, though.  People are punks.
