Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. I feel like it's someone's birthday but I can't place it. I hate that. Seasons 2-current of TWD plays this weekend. I have got to take the time to clear my dvr.

editing, cause I have more time...I watched the new medical drama on TNT "Monday Mornings", it was good and I am optimistically hopeful that it will be my 2nd on Monday nights. I can watch Two Broke Girls for my laugh (it has Garrett Morris) take a break and then my drama before bed. TV is getting so lean...that's it..back to stuff

So, with EVERY SINGLE MEDIA outlet centered around Ray-Ray, once the Super Bowl ended, this little moment took place and was missed by almost everyone!    Thanks to ABC, it wasn't missed!

BLIND SIDE

It was a picture that captured a powerful moment, snapped moments after Baltimore won the Super Bowl.

In it, an emotional Leigh Anne Tuohy is seen hugging her adopted son, Michael Oher, after his team, the Baltimore Ravens, won the big game Sunday night.

“We both just darted for each other and he picked me up,” she told ABC News today. “He was so excited and I was just sobbing.”

Oher, whose story was made famous in the Oscar-winning film “The Blind Side,” grew up in Memphis, Tenn., the son of a crack-addict mother and an absent father. He didn’t have a permanent home and was eventually taken in by the Tuohy family.

Sandra Bullock, who played Tuohy in the film, won an Oscar for her role. On Sunday night, she attended the game.  Her adopted son wore Oher’s jersey.

“Dreams do come true,” Oher told ABC News after Sunday’s victory. “I came so far, from nothing to a Super Bowl champion. I’m in shock right now.”

Oher, an offensive tackle, helped the Ravens hold off the San Francisco 49ers, 34-31.

As she drove back to Memphis today from New Orleans,  Touhy told ABC News that she and her husband truly love Oher as much as they love their biological children, who also were present at the game to cheer him on.

“Families don’t have to match,” she said. “You don’t have to look like someone else to love them. There are wonderful kids all over this country who need a forever family. And we believe there are no unwanted kids, just unfound families.”

1. He is an offensive linemen, the media doesn't talk about offensive linemen.

2. He isn't retiring

3. His story was told and doesn't cause controversy the media doesn't care.

Just wonder if Brady would rather have this guy as a teammate rather than Gronkowski, who obviously has different views on rehabing an injury than most of the NFL does. Jake the Snake must be proud of Gronk!

I cared - he was the one person we were rooting for. And I love that line about "no unwanted kids, just unfound families."

The Ducks surprised me last night and came back from 1-0 (that score lasted for-ev-er) to beat the Sharks...in regulation! Exciting game. I really like Fasth - I know he's a backup but he's fun to watch, even if he does give me a heart attack. His style reminds me of Tyler MacKay, another goalie I used to watch who played for the juniors team in Spokane. Apparently some Blackhawks fans are happy the Ducks won too. I was getting tweets all night rooting them on, hoping they'd break the Sharks. It was kinda weird.

My bow is supposed to be here today. I'm jittery.

I saw this on the local news (which is out of Memphis).  I've read the book but haven't seen the movie and the book is awesome!  Poor guy went through a lot but real love of a family...gosh, it's just a heart warming story! Have some "younger aged" friends that went to Ole Miss when Michael did and said he was very nice tho a bit withdrawn....sorta on the shy side :)  Great story, wonderful young man and an awesome family!

They had Michaels biological mother on the news at 10 last night...but I forgot and missed it. :(  I did see a little preview where she said she was a recovering addict and was so glad Michael was adopted by this family or his dream would never have come true.

I had forgotten Sandra Bullock adopted a son

sometimes at work when orders are canceled, I spell it cancelled..sometimes canceled.  cause I have the option.

spice of life people.

Trampoline
I'm your
Trampoline
Oh you jump so hard but I always catch your fall
So now I'll just
Hide away (you know I think I will)
Hide away
Oh, I run so fast but I always lose them all

I wish I could go to sleep and wake up with amnesia
And try to forget the things I've done
I wish I knew how to keep the promises I made you
But life i guess it goes on
Yeah I know it goes on
You see I've learned it goes on

But then I'll hang us on the wall
And I'll crawl in the open side
And I'm blind to it all
So why don't you
Crawl in my open side and become blind to it all

You know I think it's time to pray
For the contortion, my abortion
That I somehow shoved away
I think it's right for me (yeah I think it's right for me)
When I was young I was stung
And somehow lost God's faith

I wish I could go to sleep and wake up with amnesia
And try to forget the things I've done
I wish I knew how to keep these promises I made
But I guess life goes on
Yeah I know it goes on
You see I've learned it goes on

Way back when I must have sinned
I break down profound, beginning, end
Head trip re-grip what doesn't mend
But I'm wishing this amnesia would kick in

dear god, i have spent the better part of my day escorting coast guardians to the sanctuary for something. so i've been like all this:

and some get escorted the long way around the building. like the dude carrying a trumpet. damn. he was not only the hottest one and clearly musicallest, but he was the latest and that appeals greatly to my complete disregard for time management. i'm going to see if there are any more stragglers.

my friend is going to Denver this weekend, she wants me to go with her.

i don't know how i feel about that.

sometimes I spell reported reproted, cause I am lazy and refuse to go back and fix it.

what if i start drinking at all my jobs and not just 2/3?

what if I go to Denver and never come home?

What if my ipod doesn't stop playing Transatlanicism and i have to shove something in my ear hole?

what if birdman goes to the heat for reals?

I'm not really feeling it today.   I want to go home and pull my comforter over my head for about five days and have a full-on legitimate prozac moment.  I'm thinking a lot about my dad.  He died the day after the super bowl, but the actual date isn't until the 7th.  I just want to get it over with already.  I thought it would be easier this year.  It's not.

/end of "rant" because life goes on.

We'd also like to extend our deepest condolences to the Johnson family in advance of Jozy Altidore scoring a ridiculously athletic & brilliant goal. His name is Matthew Rhys. He was on Brothers & Sisters and I saw him in the preview for The Americans. He played a gay man so well I don't know that I could consider him being married to a woman. (I don't know if he is or not IRL)

Went to Grande Prairie with my son today and we had a blast!  Had Greek food for lunch while he had Japanese - love the food court in the GP Mall!! Bought some nail stuff, some new boots (Army kind) and a wallet/purse thing.  Bought my daughter some jeans, but I'm such a mom who doesn't want her kid growing up I bought them too small.  Have to find someone going there in the next few days, I hope, to exchange them.

Got the Fireplace stand for the TV built today as well.  I'll post a picture when i take one.

Oh yeah, and the Flames WON!!!!

And I watched the Blind Side right before the Super Bowl.  Maybe Michael doesn't like the movie any more but I think that there are a lot of us who do, and the Ravens had a lot of non-football fans watching because of that movie.  I was excited for the whole family.

My daughter gets one of her extra teeth pulled first thing tomorrow morning.  One more step to her braces.

It is him but I can't see your pic! Had to google and he looks different on this; little curly jewish fro. He seems to be a great actor. They have the sex in the pilot, in the stupidest place at the dumbest time. Seemed legit. And, I like Felicity but I don't love how her character seemed like the type of mom that would murder her kids in their sleep. Now that I think about it, I don't like her character very much period, I suppose.
