Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

i caught bieber fever on saturday. it's low-grade for a while, but in 7ish years he should be a fairly decent singer with training, he'll have some mileage, hopefully the owl tattoo will be gone and i won't feel like i have to lie about my age when i say i'm a bieber fan.

it's easier to belieb now knowing that "weee! are never, ever, ever! getting back together...!" song is actually taylor swift. (whew!)

walking dead is ridiculous. (i missed it so much.) is it just me, or does it seem like any time now, herschel is gonna just up and ascend into heaven to sit at the right hand of himself? the way he owned the half flight of stairs about midway through annoyed me.

i got an awesome skirt at a thrift shop the other day. it's like a patchwork silk thing that is frightening me a little bit here in the early hours of the day. i'm beginning to think it was a DIY project gone bad because there are some seams are unraveling in big ways. i bought the thing for $0.75, so if the skirt gives me the same rate/hour that my electric company does, it might make it to the end of the work day.

lastly, i found out at one of the places i interviewd on friday that my uniform would be lederhosen if i get it and thursday-sunday nights there's live polka bands who play. i want that job.

Quick precursor. I did not watch the Grammy's last night as they were tape delayed and out of principle I will not watch an event like that on tape delay. So I waited until this morning to watch some of the performances.  What did I think? Thank Cheesus I didn't waste 3 1/2 hours sitting through nonsense for that hot mess.
I enjoyed Mumford and Sons because I enjoy Mumford and Sons in general.
The tribute to Levon Helm and The Band with Elton John, Zac Brown, Mumford and Co., Chick from Alabama Shakes, etc was mediocre at best.
Rihanna wasn't bad, but I lasted about 20 seconds because I don't like anything about Rihanna
Taylor Swift sang her atrocious song so I didn't even bother watching that.
Kelly Clarkson sang a song
I liked Frank Ocean's album, but his was another in the list of meh performances
I had to look up Miguel
Justin Timberlake and Jay Z was sh*t.. Does everyone really just get excited by seeing somebody they recognize on TV and just pretend not to listen or pay attention to the quality?
Alicia Keys (Dat Ass) did a song with my buddy Ben Fox.. I swear to god if I have to hear "This Girl Is On Fire" one more time... Funny thing is, I have never heard that song all the way through once.
N words in Paris (I'm hoping that's how it was announced on the show. Someone please let me know) came out in I believe September 2010 and won a grammy.
I like Fun, I own that album, but there's no way they should have won a Grammy

If you didn't watch The Walking Dead, you didn't miss much.  It could have been trimmed down to 35 seconds and achieved the same purpose of plot continuation. Spoiler alert, Merle and Darrell go off on their own, and Rick is going crazy. and it took a damn hour to tell us that.

Spring Training is starting.  That time of year when expectations are high and the thrill of America's true pastime is alive in our souls yet again. Unless you're a Rockies fan

So I never watch NBA basketball, but tuned in to the Nuggets - Celtics game in OT last night.  I quickly realized why I don't watch it when the Nuggets took the lead with a basket, the Celtics called a timeout right away, then got to inbound the ball on the Nuggets side of half court.. How does that work exactly? What an awful, awful, league, I will stick to college basketball

I went and saw Side Effects on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised.  There will be a review up possibly this evening

Well the Nuggets and Celtics should have to play again today.  That's because they still need 2 more overtimes to match Notre Dame's game from the day before against Louisville.  Was funny watching the game on a network called Altitude with former Nugget Scott Hastings doing color commentary.  On both calls late in regulation he predicted the opposite of what the refs ruled after they went to the monitor.  He also was getting pretty irate by this point.  Then when Kenneth Faried got called for a T later he said that "if that was a technical the NBA should go out of business, because that was a basketball play."

Fifth! I'll have one!  I was going to be first, but when I posted it, the Q went haywire and wouldn't load the page...then I saw a patient who's two fries short of a happy meal and now I get to have a fifth!

RANGERS WIN!!!  The GREAT hockey team, the Rangers, thoroughly outplayed the Lightning last night.  They scored 5 goals and won 5-1.  The BLUESHIRTS are BACK!  On the other hand, the OTHER great team, the Kings, lost in the last 5 seconds.  Red Wings had a cheap goal that trickled into the net with 4.something seconds left.  Not to worry, Teach-Kings just had their season's low point.  They WILL come back and be a playoff team again, and, if the RANGERS don't win the cup, I hope the Kings do.

Apparently, I'm an 86, 89 or 95% match with my wife based on names....but I'm STILL on the couch....

Woke up this morning and the downstairs furnace did not kick on....called gas company and bill was paid...electronic ignition, so no pilot....opened up one cover and got smashed in the noseby the cover on top of it...all I could think of was the Hangover guy saying" In the faccccceeeeee".....shut it down, then restarted and got it running...phew!

Here's today's pic...enjoy...

Have a GREAT Monday!

Q'rs
Is it moaning Monday? Jess's post the other night made me think of some folks I would love to punch in the face. Not for any one particular thing, but a whole mess of things all together. I am seriously hating all things breathing and related to me. I FAILED
(which means I started smoking again) 10 less years is really OK with me at the moment, I might change my mind, but I doubt it. i screamed at all the stupid drivers this morning but passed it off as singing...Bang your Head!

I have weird colors coming out of my nasal passage, but I'm still going to be chanting this 5 times while dancing around in my Kings shirt. (of course I'll change a couple things.....since .....I'm not at work)

Hockey gods, hear this prayer.
But not before I insult you,
Yesterday earned it, mon fraire

What’s this sh*t you’ve done?
Losing games hard fought
Games we should have won.

Stop tickling Quick
In all the wrong places
You’re giving me a tick
Making me make stupid faces

Ones that say ‘OH!’
And some that say ‘aww’
What are you, a fu**ing dentist?
Guffaw guffaw

I can’t even rhyme right,
You’re antics have thrown me so
Please let us win tonight
Or Scribe may cut off a toe

But if that’s what it takes
A blood riddled sacrifice
To blow luck on our skates
Here’s my fu**ing vein,
MAKE RICHARDS PLAY NICE!

I don’t know what else to say
There’s not much I can do
I wore my jersey to work
For some good ol’ joojoo

So hockey gods listen up,
We really need a win
It’s not enough, one Cup
Let domination begin

So, my daughter is in HER room watching endless "Heartland" videos.  My son is in his room playing XBox, and I got No thanks to every suggestion I made - Go for a walk, play with the puppy outside, watch a movie together, ANYTHING! - was met with "Meh" so I gave up.

I'm watching Anderson and reading twitter.

Why would anyone want to be Pope? I mean, unless you're an old guy with a history of covering up child rape. Too bad Paterno is dead.

So, a few days ago, former Cap Mike Knuble called Caps fans mostly bandwagon fans, which in blunt terms makes sense given how this city is and how long the team has existed. It's not going to compare to an Original Six team or a place like Philly, where Knuble is now. On Twitter, a ex-Q'er I follow for some reason picked it up and used it to bash the Caps. The kicker though. He's a *Lightning* fan. Pot calling kettle black much? Also, teams get more fans when they win, no matter where they are. Period. I swear sometimes I wonder if hockey fans are just as a-holeish as football fans.
