Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Fiduciary is a great word.
It's MY Wednesday. Welcome and enjoy.
David Sedaris makes me laugh out loud, and I'm pretty sure I smile the entire time I'm reading him.

So I was getting ready to rant about my Avalanche, but then as I was going through the outline in my head I realized that I have way too much to vent about.
The situation has been dicey here for a couple years and now it appears they are going to trade away another fan favorite (along the lines of Chris Drury, Alex Tanguay, Adam Deadmarsh, Kevin Shattenkirk) in Ryan O'Reilly people are just fed up.  It sucks trying to balance supporting a group of players while not supporting the actions of the management of the organization

So my husband has been off work since Friday - he took leave just for kicks. With all of this time off, he's been playing his guitar a lot lately - the acoustic one I got him last year for his birthday. His latest couple of songs he's been perfecting are from 30 Seconds to Mars. First off, he's really talented. He can play just about anything just by listening to it. Secondly, I love acoustic. Third of all, Jared Leto's voice ranks up there in my top 3 favorite voices along with Gavin Rossdale and Corey Taylor, and Trever sounds a lot like him. A LOT. Needless to say, I've been all goofy flushed and twitterpated the past few days.

I must say as bad as I feel for Nerlens Noel, I feel twice as bad that their are reports that somehow if the NBA didn't have their age policy that Noel would have been able to be in the league and not gotten hurt, and possibly costing him millions.  Really?  I guess that means my family should be mad at Harrah's Casino, because if they weren't open 24/7/365 I wouldn't have been in their last night at midnight and lost my rent at the craps table.

Done early,   Want to share this Facebook post from my girl Bernadette in Cali.
She and her husband have devoted time, money, more money and time and travel in to their sons
wrestling careers.  For college, for Olympics.   Just uhhh.   There is a petition to Save Olympic Wrestling.   You can find it on FB or the interwebs I'm sure.

Anyway, also apparently Marco Rubio likes West Coast rap better than East Coast rap.  He wants your electoral votes people.
He's so dreamy, in a, I need a drink of water kind of way.  no

"
All day yesterday all I thought about was wrestling being dropped from the Olympics and how disheartened I was, thinking about all the kids (mine included) whose dream it was to one day compete in the Olympics and have that gold medal placed around their neck. It saddens and angers me to think their opportunity may be gone and how even though they have trained hard and fought through blood, sweat and tears that people on a board can sit around and make the decision to drop a sport that has been a part of the Olympics from the beginning. A sport that has become OUR way of life, like so many families I know and love.... Then I look at this picture and think "What has wrestling taught us?" and to that I say, "wrestling has taught us to fight, it has taught us all not to go down without a fight, just like our boys and girls do during each and every match." I hope that all my wrestling family can agree that we will stand together and fight for our kids, for their opportunity to one day have that Olympic gold medal placed around their neck... Let's do what we have to, so that our voice can be heard.

Ok, a friend of mine just went on a rant about UK basketball to this tune:

have not really weighed in much on the UK basketball rollercoaster this season. really its been about as boring as the football season was. it had to catch up with Cal at some point. sorry for Noel, enjoyed watching him. the others? (no names) SG, you know you are on a "team", right? PF, cannot wait for your "one and done" to be over, PG, really? you can't tie the shoes of the others before you. hey Cal, how about rethinking this one and done thing? just opinion!

I got his back on this one.  I mean, the team fell out of the top 25 quickly (started at #3), and just broke back into the top 25 in time for Noel to royally f**k up his knee.  Here is one of the responses he got:

"Cal has no control over the one and done thing. Do you suggest he stops recruiting the best players?"

If he's got the best players this year, why have they spent much of it unranked?

If I know Moody, he's spent the past 15 minutes either banging his head against a brick wall or laughing his goofy ass off over this question.  It's been given the "this is a rhetorical question, right?"  treatment so far.

Anyhow.  This week is half way over and I'm past being ready to kick it to the f**king curb already.  I have a full fifth of Maker's Mark and a six pack plus one of Smithwick's with my name on it.  Drunk, typo Christi just may bust out of the closet this weekend with all the fun drag queen bells and whistles on.  Can't wait.

It's really crazy to me that the guy who coached wrestling throughout my Jr. High and High School years passed away on the same day they announced that wrestling is set to be removed from the Olympics.

Signed the petition. I've never been a huge Olympics person - I like the Games, I'll watch them, but I've never really been into them the way some people are. But for some reason this wrestling thing is just really bothering me. I always loved high school and college, Olympic style wrestling. It's one of the reasons I started watching MMA (though I do actually prefer wrestling). Sometimes we had to choose which events we cheered for because of conflicting schedules and I always chose wrestling. My cousin and some of my best friends growing up were wrestlers. Vision Quest is one of my all-time fave movies. Of all the sports to remove from the Olympics (why remove any?) wrestling should be one of the last to be considered.

Tell the kid to go to the back yard and to start jumping on the trampoline. They can still get to the Olympics in that "sport." Ballroom dancing, ping pong table tennis, but there is no need for a sport that was apart of the first Olympics.

Daughter got the second tooth removed this morning and again, she did awesome.  Yesterday, however, she had pain in the socket  where the first tooth was removed.  So she was put on Amoxicillin.  She's taken it before with no adverse reaction, but she took her scheduled dose half an hour ago and puked all over the place ten minutes later.

Other than that, it is a bright, sunny, gorgeous day in the Peace and the temp is 33F.  Tomorrow it should be up to 47F  We know February is often a beautiful month, only leading up to the horrendous snowstorms we get in March.

Hope everyone has a great rest of their week!!

I cannot believe there are people out there that think Mayweather should still fight Pac-Man. I agree he got ripped off in the Bradley fight, but Marquez knocked him out. I see no reason why Floyd should even consider that fight. There are some real good fighters in that weight class that could challenge Mayweather.
