I just saw this on facebook earlier today. I love this kind of stuff. With all the negativity and bullying that goes on in schools, and lately even on a more violent scale, it's always refreshing and great to see kids act this way toward each other. Sometimes with everything else going on we tend to forget the good out there. These reminders make me happy and hopeful every time I see them.

Well if this wasn't the same story that gets told every year in high school and some times small college sports nowadays. I might have some sort of reaction other than been there, heard that before.

I guess I don't see or hear as many as you do.......yes, I agree that similar stories have been told, but, I think for me, I hear or see them, maybe 1x or 2x a year.....still, I think it's pretty cool when it happens.

Like I said, this isn't a new story, it has become a yearly occurrence. I think it is cool too, great that the coach played him, great that the player from the other team threw him the ball, great that he scored. Also pay attention to his other shot attempts. His opponents had no intention of keeping him from scoring and made no defensive attempt to do so. But you asked what my reaction was on this story, it was BFD. Now 10 years ago when I first heard a story like this I probably had a different reaction

Kids are horrible creatures, esp teenagers, so no matter how many times I hear a story like this one, it's always a big deal to me. It doesn't restore my faith in humanity, but it's good to know that somewhere, sometimes, parents, teachers, and kids are doing something right.

(I used a lot of commas...)

Is there hope with our youth today to show kindness to one another? I truly hope so!

I'm with The Kevin. Happens at least once a year in several sports. It's always good, but they are becoming less and less newsworthy because more and more teams do it.
