Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

So, the Lakers beat the Hawks, which is fine considering the Hawks are 4th, I think, and the Lakers have decided they want to make the playoffs.... at just .500 :/. But, they only beat them by one. I mean I love them, but if you only beat the Hawks by one....uh... playoffs?! eh.

Y'day was a season 3 TWD marathon day. It was better this time because I skipped pretty much every scene that involved andrea til I got up to last week's and the week before and was forced to sit through it. Course last week's was half-filler, and apparently last night's was all filler so I didn't watch it yet. I don't know why they are stretching it so far. I know fans complained about the short season, but seriously 11 quality episodes would be much better than 11 + 5 or 6 unnecessary ones, IMO. I'd miss it, but that's the point, right?

1train. love.

I'm almost out of liquor and completely out of money, this week may suck.

Enjoy  Monday.

1.  Last night was a pretty solid night of television.
a.  Easily the best episode of TWD this year and possibly the best episode of all time.  In the comics Rick loses an arm..so i wonder if this is sort of the lead in to that...maybe the stab wound gets infected or something.   Also who was hoping Carl would get face f**ked by that ax trap?
b.  Marilyn Manson T-bagging Tim Minchin.
c.  The Cheadle speech/monologue last night on House of Lies.  Also..how hot is Kristen Bell now since she has a little baby weight on her?  Wow.

2.  Frecklebreast in a low cut shirt today...cant lose.

3.  There's about to be a full on teacher beat down.  My kid is a straight A student...never causes trouble...etc.  She informs me that because she didn't finish a 30 problem multiplication quiz in under the allotted 60 seconds given that her teacher is going to make her work multiplication problems through her lunch break this week.  I told her to roll with it today just to see if the teacher was bluffing.   I hope she wasn't.  I hope my kid missed lunch today.   I might make my first ..and i guarantee it will be my only...appearance at her school for something other than a recreational activity.

It's National Grammar Day, so this must be all of you Grammar Nazi's favorite day of the year?

I'm going to work on spelling first!

FIST!!   Wooowhooo, I'm FIST!!

28 Games in row just tied the 77 Montreal Canadiens for the 2nd longest streak of games with at least 1 point.  7 more games to tie the '78 Philly Flyers and 8 to set a new record.

Yesterday's game was nuts-o!   0-0 going into the 3rd period. Detroit scores, almost 3 mins in and it stayed that way until Kane tied it with 2:02 left in the game.  Nothing happened in OT and Kane was the only player to score in the Shoot Out. Both goalies were unbelievable!

THIRD!

Today is National Military Day....March Forth (sorry about the pun....)

Morning Q'ers!  One day, the weather in NJ is going to get a little warmer.  The winter has been for the most part, average, but the wind keeps blowing, the sun is not shining too much and it is going to touch 50 degrees by the end of the week.  Usually, the first week or so in March has some 60-70 degree days, followed by 20 degree days.  I guess it's just the sun not shining regularly-it will be out in the morning, but by the afternoon, it is cloudy.

Nick, congrats on the Black Hawks getting out to a good start, but, given my druthers, I'd rather start to get hot going into the playoffs...hockey teams are known to put up a few bad games in a row, and ya don't want the Hawks to do that...just remember, the 79-80 Flyers, who set the record....did NOT win the Cup

Here's today's pic...enjoy!

Have a great Monday!

Morning.

I loved TWD last night. How awesome was that actor who plays Morgan....wow. Poor Rick. He could have used a guy with Morgan's booby trapping skills. And Michonne...........and her rainbow cat. HA! I lost a bet though. Carl stayed. Little sh*t.

My Kings Poll Stalker is starting to freak me out. It's too Single White Female for me, AND I'm not even getting the benefit of good "chirps." .......Just "Losers", "Queens"----->speaking of queens, anyone who knows history knows that queens were the badasses so that isn't even a good chirp. Sigh.

OH....and for those of you on twitter. .....if you aren't following Bernie Nicholls, do it, and enjoy.

3 home games this week. I may need an IV.

Have a good one. Get a hug.

hi

I didn't watch TWD last night either because I got caught up in a basketball themed 30 for 30 marathon.  How Andrea is still alive is beyond me.  The last thing anyone needs during the zombie apocalypse is a damn know it all c word who second guesses everyone. you can spare one bullet in the middle of the night

My Avalanche played probably their worst game of the season yesterday against the worst team in the league.. Now they get to go to Detroit, then a home and home against Chicago.  this could get ugly

how about that Pens - Habs game saturday and the B's/Habs and Wings/Hawks games yesterday? bum bum bum bum bum, I'm lovin it

I really wanted to go see a movie in the theater this weekend, but holy cow was there NOTHING appealing. So I started watching the first series of the new incarnation of Doctor Who while I did work stuff

and I think that's about all I got for now..

No video to be seen.

Day off.  I love sports.  Lots of sports.  I want more sports and there are not sports on TV today so I am watching some lame movie.

One more week and my son gets home.  His last split shift day is today.  They found someone to come help him out.

My daughter gets the bands on her teeth tomorrow to expand her upper jaw out, as it's too narrow.  She gonna be in major pain.

Morning, Everybodee!

My sister-in-law let my wife borrow a movie she got from Redbox.  Not sure why she thought it was in my wife's favorite genre.  It was an independent.  A weird independent.  Small Apartments.   Has some decent names in the cast:  Billy Crystal, James Marsden, DJ Qualls, Dolph Lundgren, Rosie Perez.   Best scene was the investigation of a "suicide" scene.  (One character tried masking a death as a suicide.   Badly.)   Good message from the main character, but took a long weird path to get there.

Other than that, I got nothing.  It's Monday, after all.
If he's the best man, why isn't she marrying him?..

Wow, and I thought our school was the only one that thought it was somehow okay to let a growing child go without lunch!!   One quick phone call to the administrator curbed that for us.  My daughter rides the bus, so breakfast is at 7am.  If she goes without lunch, the next food she gets is at 4pm.  I'm not okay with that.  Neither was the Vice Principal.

And yay to Frecklebreast.  Now why do you think she chose today to display her wares?  Could it be in honor of yourself??  Yeah, go with that thought, why don't you.  Do a little ogglling while you're at it.  Enjoy it while you can.

After winning the Honda Classic yesterday, American's have now won every tournament this year on the PGA Tour.  Sign of dominance, or just a cycle that comes around every once in a while?

During the telecast of the tourney, Johnny Miller once again proved why he is worthless as an analyst.  While speaking with Jack Nicklaus, he made fun of people like Jack's 10 year old grandson for liking a guy who has only won 1 tournament, (Rickie Fowler) then he told Jack can we get a real answer and not a "Bill Clinton answer" in regards to whether Jack thought Tiger would break Jack's record for wins at Majors.

One thing I could never understand is why my daughter can zoom right through her multiplication "drills" but it takes her 2 full seconds to add 6+3. Ugh. I'm guessing this is why.

I did watch TWD last night. I have a question - why is it that Rick & Co. always expect others to take them in when they need solace but they're such jerks about taking in anyone else? I don't get it. I was kind of mad about the dude they left running down the road last night...poor guy. It's the zombie apocalypse - you're about to go to war with this whacked out one-eyed guy and his lemmings. Wouldn't you want as many bodies on your side as possible, even if it was just to absorb ammo or distract walkers? Maybe I'm missing something.

My shoulders are hamburger. I shot at least 20 ends yesterday (240 arrows +). I'd like to go stump shooting so we can add in some cardio with that upper body workout. The range is losing its luster. I had to make up a game with myself to liven things up a bit - scoring the rings of the target and shooting 3 arrows each at 4 different targets to try and work on my grouping. I even hit a few stingers! So proud.

yep, everybody hates each other in the east. So realignment should have a "No Love Lost" conference with appropriately named divisions:

2. Only play teams in your conference for all 82 games. I want the contempt and dsidain boiling over come playoffs.

3. It will lead to pre-game interviews like this:

Pierre: Stephane how are you going to handle Malkin tonight?

Giroux: Well h'its a teem game, so duh whole teem will handle 'imm like we h'all handled his dirty, whore mudder last night. Ohh-kay tanx-u Pierre.

If he's the best man, why isn't she marrying him?..

I was not happy with my biological clock yesterday for waking me up at quarter to 8 after a night of being, well, over served. Not a fun morning.

I've decided to make this Unpopular Opinions Week, where I give an unpopular opinion I hold a day, or until I can't think of any. Don't worry, none of these will be politics or religion related (I already know all my opinions on those are unpopular).

For today, we're going big: I feel no ill will towards Bieber. If anything, I'm kind of impressed he's still as big as he is, even though he's been around a couple of years in an industry where people rise and fall within six months or less. Now, I don't think I've ever voluntary listened to his music, nor am I sure I've done so accidentally (I thought that "girl you're amazing" song was him for a while until I learned it was Bruno Mars). I'm sure I wouldn't like it, but whatever.

Okay, let me see if I can fix this.  The weather forecast for the next two weeks shows snow every day, except for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.  Is that better?
Chicago is expecting 10-13 inches of snow starting tomorrow afternoon and ending sometime around Midnight. UGH! angry no

California can not get here fast enough!

Random Thoughts...

3. I don't get this. Oh....and how many does your kid have in her class this year? 15? Ugh....your kid's teacher. (Also......what kind of multiplication problems......the basic ones? 2 digit, 3 digit???? I need more details.)

We just talked and she didnt have the lunch punishment.  She got an extra sheet of homework because she didnt pass again today.    The lunch thing happens tomorrow if she doesnt pass.  The problems are basic.  And 22 kids in her class.

Eee...i'm glad y'all liked the video! (Deb its on my Facebook). I went to the rockets game last night and was sitting next to some celebrity (I guess?). Everyone wanted pictures with him and I just wanted his name. And to chew on his beautiful hair. oh and the rocket set a record for points in a quarter i think! Zatatains didnt parachute their spices down though, so really the whole night was a bit marred. Also! I gor a callback interview for the biergarten (lederhosen) gig. Tomorrow at 230! So send yer good feelers :)

Hmmmmm....with 22 kids in her class (5th or 4th?), her teacher should do more practice in the class....repetition, cute little songs, multiplication tricks, etc. I understand the importance of knowing your basic multiplication, subtraction, and addition fact fast, it helps when learning higher level concepts, but the strict one minute time limit bugs me.

Wow......22 kids?/??? sorry....I was daydreaming.

How many problems? 30? in a minute?-----it's doable but realistically not all kiddos are able to write that fast.

1.  Louisville is giving Cincinnati the smackdown right now, which makes me happy cuz we've had a rivalry since the huggybear (Bob Huggins) days when ol'boy ran his club like a bunch of thugs.  I'm pretty sure my neighbors are over me screaming and yelling at the tv and I don't give a f**k.
2.  I've been working on planning a hockey trip to Nashville and I can't find a damn hotel room to save my life.  Except for this weekend.  I wanted to go the weekend the Blackhawks were in town.  I'll be there for the game against the Wild instead.
3.  Bonus is that I get to hang out with an old friend from college.  He's one of the bois, so we both have fantasies about banging (or getting banged by) Shea Weber.  This could get awkward b/c I'd hate to have to go butch on him.
4.  I've been partying with trannys for 13 years.  I can spot one from a mile away.  It's funny how nobody believes me on this one.  Until they get said tranny home.
5.  That's all I got.
