Hi gang!!!

Went to the Avs - Hawks game Friday.  What a good time that was.  Thanks to a ton of Blackhawk fans and rowdy Avs fans, the atmosphere was fantastic at Pepsi Center

Got underway with my latest home renovation project.  Stoney's home office got mostly cleared out, about 3/4 painted and now I'm about 2 good days away from having it done.. Question is when those 2 days will come

As Doug pointed out, nice win by the Avs last night in OT when I thought for sure they had blown it by giving up yet another 3rd period lead.  Matt Duchene is playing out of his mind right now

Cheers to Canada and Mexico for getting me interested in the World Baseball Classic.  So much so I actually watched a half inning of the USA-Canada game yesterday.

Tiger Woods is good at golf

I've been pretty meh for all season of TWD.  I watched the last two seasons last night, then had to flip on the magic bullet infomercial to get my adrenaline going

I saw the Duggar family on the Today show today talking about some TLC special they have.  The only special I'd want to watch about that family is one dissecting the fiery bus crash that killed all 19 of them

I hope you all have super days today

I watched almost of all of season 1 of Game of Thrones yesterday, and Jaime Lannister still seems like a real life version of the prince from Shrek. No?

Good morning q'let's.   Monday is here, it's cold and rainy, and I have to work.  Went to my great nieces 4th birthday party at the bowling alley yesterday. 15, 3 to 5 year olds   frown

Thank God for the bar, the beer, and the Bulls game.  (asses kicked by the lakers)

Gale Sayers again...I AM THIRD! (I've used that reference before...but it was Gale Sayers' memoir which was the inspiration for the movie "Brian's Song)

Morning Q'ers!  Hope everyone had a good weekend.  I worked Saturday, then cleaned out the gutters.  It was a pretty nice day.  Sunday, just sat around and watched that GREAT team, the Rangers, manhandle the Capitals, winning 4-1.  I missed the first period, where I understand that the Caps outplayed the Rangers.  I watched the good parts.

Sun is shining here....wow....three days in a row now!  temps are about 50 degrees....but not too bad.

Here's today's pic...enjoy!

Have a great Monday!

Morning.

Last home game till Saturday..............this will be 5 games in 8 days. I need a nap already.

Report Cards go home on Friday, so the whole no home games after today till Saturday suits me fine.

Later gators.

OH....and TWD------------->I kind of called this let down after last week's amazingness. sigh. Did I miss the part when this meeting was arranged. I feel that an episode was missing.

Took a day off today due to the 6-12 inches of snow we received since Saturday afternoon.  Supposed to be 60+ degrees by Thursday.  Watched Tiger win yesterday, and a nice last second overtime winner by Matt Duschesne last night for the Avalanche.  Today as is almost every Monday, their is an NCIS Marathon on USA Network that I will be watching.

By the way Clippers players, your lobs and dunks are great to watch, especially considering you will have plenty of time to work on even better one's after you get eliminated in either the 1st or 2nd rd of the playoffs.
Goodbye!

crap, I didn't even realize today is 311 day..

Well enjoy this little ditty from my high school days

311 - Hive

Coming like a nightmare word like I'm gonna go for it
F*ckin' around what ya got to show for it?
Let it be know that I'm in the zone
And whatever I need Ijust pick up the phone
'Cuz I'm true with it and you're new with it I just swing the thing
and then I'm through with it I don't need friends to act like foes
'Cuz I'm Nick Hexum the one who knows about things
'Cuz it takes two and we swings better than you
Then it's time for the dub so we roll out the club
And you know just what I do I'm hitting in the freak mode
Puttin' on a load sippin'on a guinny
Then lo and behold una vision from bottom to top
And I just can't stop uh 311 show them the air is rarified
But you don't give a damn 'cuz the groove is hellafied
Grew up punk, listening to funk I'm a hyper type of fella that does not touch junk
You're the back of the pack and the bottom of the stack
That's what you get when you're steady talkin' sh*t
Not goin' for self that sh*t is on the shelf
It's 95 and we go for the hive
Listen up this you're gonna bump to this
And if I'm feelin' mean I'm gonna clutch my fist
Now when I say mean, I mean I'm gonna rock it
You're gonna find out kid I'm bout to shock it
When I'm on I'm gone I hear the beat that spawns
The way we freak it and we kick up a storm
The day we turn to pop the show will stop
So feel the beat and get lost now
Back to part 2 the hard way we play
Sublime on time to all the fans I'm
SA And if you don't know I say check the show
Do what you got to on the dance floor
Some say the style is wack but I say f*ck that
Get the hell back and watch us rock the set
We cast the mold bust it cold explode
Mega trendsetters known around the globe
Friends takin' you where you never been
We done what we wanted craftin' poems
You can rock there is a glow around you
Lose control holmes jus tlike we do
Hard to obtain brotha' what's my name
Mad to find unlike ya mamma and your masquerade I drive a mach-
1 no dashboard Jesus I hear voices say that's Doug Martinez
You're all up in my mix like f*ckin' Betty Crocker
You think you're playing me but actually you're a jocker
You bad mouth me bitch man you givin me juice
It aint nothin' but a party everybody get loose
Notice what I don't do when stress steps to me
Whatever your complaint so sue me I say f*ck the naysayers and keep goin
Gotta do what I gotta do to get the people glowin'
So let everybody gather the more the better I represent the traveler him
he's a shredder
At ease with yourself and don't try to please me
I'm just here today then quickly I'm out
On the town one light I'm a glow worm
For several hours wiggle jiggle like I'm a huge sperm
Can't appreciate a brothers love of funky music
You think I'm a silly rabbit 'cuz my style has tricks
Of the way I feel now I just got to rock
The music be poppin through me like electric shocks I think
and blink and I wink but that sh*ts not tiny
'Cuz in a blink of an eyelash you will not find me
You're the back of the pack and the bottom of the stack
That's what you get when you're steady talkin' sh*t
Not goin' for self that sh*t is on the shelf
'Cuz it's 95 and we go for the hive

So, you think you've got it bad??

Thank your lucky stars you aren't an egg. Now, consider the egg: You only get laid once. You only get eaten once. It takes 4 minutes to get hard and two minutes to get soft. And, you share your box with 11 other guys.

But, the worst part of it all is the only chick that ever sits on your face is your mother.

At home prepping for a dentist appointment. For me, this means taking multiple antibiotic pills. They are not small.

Quick question: How is the sequester playing where you all are at? I only get the Beltway media take (which is stupid and superficial as always), so I'm curious as to how it's playing in the real world outside the bubble.

Indy 500 tickets came on Saturday. Sweet.

Why does the WBC get so much flack? The purpose is to grow the game, not for the US to beat on their chests more. Also, it's more interesting baseball than spring training played in mid-March. That's all it really needs to be.

Finally, 20 years ago today, The Simpsons gave us a classic (which I hope gets finished soon after this post)....DENTAL PLAN!

It's the Seahawks...we've been burnt burned (did I seriously just do that?) by picking up big name receivers in the past so I'm "cautiously optimistic". We really need a pass rusher though, especially with Clem out.

My Habs just tore through the south like General Sherman, good job - good effort. I still think the wheels come off a bit by then end of March though.

Per twitter via @TheReal_Hockey_Becky, I've made a mock up for our idea of an NHL's 'Noche Latina' like the NBA has. (El Heat, etc.) I mashed up Mexcio's National Team colors with my Habs. (Replace the Mexican Crest with a shamrock themed one and it also doubles as a St-Patrick's Day alternate.)

Now the "Olé Olé Olé" chant makes a bit of sense... or doesn't? Whatever.

i have been hurting bad for the wbc. this weekend i baked a cake and watched a girly movie on tv. i even cried as i licked the icing spoon. yeah. it's bad. but i found out yesterday evening our local spanish network was airing puerto rico vs. dominican republic and wow. there was no other way to watch that game than with spanish broadcasting. and i learned that "home run" en espanol es "quadrangulaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! ar! ar! ar! ar! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!" and my baseball cup runneth over. the really fun part was i actually knew more players on each team than i do on my own astros.

andrea in walking dead is quickly turning into my new lori. just as surely as lori would f**k something up in every episode, you can count on andy bursting into a room all big-bad-bitchily demanding something be done, said, changed, or apologized for. but you can also count on any character she barges in on (usually the gov), putting her in her place and her getting all wet-eyed and breezing out to sit and stare past the camera a while, probably thinking stuff like "dude. where'd my b@lls go?"

lastly, i'd like to stop working, so if any of y'all know eligible bachelors looking for their gold digger, i'm available immediately and willing to relocate (some restrictions apply).

bold move and I like it.. go after the latin market since a good chunk of the rest of the country doesn't seem to appreciate the game.. It would definitely be a good play here, but we just need to work on some marketing ideas....

talking with one of my buddies who works the Altitude tv box doing stats for the "talent" and we were talking about another one of our buddies who is Finnish and his nickname for Blackhawks D-man Johnny Oduya who hails from Sweden (How many of you could have guessed that if you didn't know!?) Anyway we weren't sure if it's his racism or his hatred of anything Swedish but he calls Oduya 'Swedish Midnight'. And all I could think about is how hasn't Oduya transformed this into gold.

Gun to my head up until last year or so I thought for sure Oduya was from a Toronto suburb, like Subban. There's a dude on the Habs from Switzerland named Raphael Diaz. As surprising to me as Swedish Midnight.

I hashed some of this out over the weekend, but I have to do it again here just because this weekend's awesomeness was just that awesome.  I went to Nashville Sat. morning and toured The Hermitage (Andrew Jackson's home).  I only had about 90 minutes, which was not long enough to enjoy this little bit of history.  I'll be going back next time I'm in town.  I had to leave to meet a guy I met in college about 10 years ago.  We had a great lunch.  Then I got checked into the hotel, where my view out the window was the Parthenon.  The view from the other side of the hotel is Vanderbilt's football field.  It was a really cool college area.  Lots of places to eat and just a $10 cab ride from the arena.
So hockey Saturday night.  i had seats in the fifth row, which was three rows behind the Pred's bench.  If Shea Weber only knew his crazy stalker lady was two rows behind him much of the game.  I was like a little kid, fist bumping the team as they came in from pre-game warm up.
I had breakfast at The Pancake Pantry and got the Caribbean pancakes.  So yummy.  I almost cried when I had to come back to reality.  I'm already ready to go back next year.

Let's see Seattle gave up a 1st, 7th and conditional mid round pick for a guy that is out of games hurt a lot.

San Fran gave up a 6th round pick for a guy that isn't.

At least someone in the NFC West got a good deal.

Seattle didn't need a lot from the draft this year anyway; very young roster and not a lot of holes to fill. And they had 10 picks to start.
Maybe Sherman and Browner can share their steroids to keep him healthy.

The dentist said things are "not bad." I'll take it!

From where I went to the grocery store. How the hell is a Whole Foods as crowded as it was at 4 pm on a Monday? You have to have a job to have the money to shop there, right?

The fact that nobody said LISA NEEDS BRACES to my post made me said. I'm especially disappointed in you Marcus.

And it is going to be really hard to say goodbye to Peyton Siva.  His time at Louisville has been phenomenal and he's been a pure gentleman since he stepped on campus.  Even his daddy has been around and great to have around.  My sister was at the last home game and said there was not a dry eye in the house...even Pitino got choked up...when Peyton was announced.

I am sure being around Cheat Carroll and the other Cheathawks that they will do their best to help him get on a PED routine that increases the likely hood that he is on the field more.
