On Friday as I was leaving the office, my car spun out of control while hydro-planing in a hale storm, and ended up going over a median. Luckily I didn't hit any other cars, but it bang up against a large rock causing severe damage underneath it and to all the tires. I finally got it fixed through some buddies of mine who are mechanics and by going to a junkyard and scrapping the parts off a similar Mustang. Overall I saved alot of money doing it that way, but it was still an expensive repair.

I got let go from my job on Friday due to downsizing, which I already knew was coming so I had a much better paying job set up starting Monday. I wasn't able to get the car worked on until Monday, which cost me the new job.
F*** I never should've gone to work on Friday! angry

Q'rs

Someone tried to walk away with my dog at the dog park this morning! Excuse me! She looks chow, but I swear she is a mutt, lovable and a friend to all. I had to run across the park to get her back and if you know dog parks and me, that was one hell of a run. I was all out of breath, with my one arm up trying to say HEY Hey Hey, but it came out more like hummph hummph, then Jack steps forward and says to the guy, "that's my dog", no drama, he just said it was a mistake and let her go. I really need to quit smoking, bought an electronic model and am determined to stick to it even if i chew through them. Happy Trail Mix

After reading all the coffee talk in my poll last week, I ordered a new coffee maker and am trying a new, stronger kind of coffee today. Whoa. I remember why I usually stick to breakfast blends. I'm pretty sure I've vibrated myself a few seconds ahead along the space-time continuum and I can hear colors. Either that or I need to answer my highlighter because it won't go to voice mail.

Take this really quick quiz** and find out if you're homophobic.

**It's actually part of a really good campaign by a creative house, where an old coworker works now. Super clean. Fantastic execution. Gets the point across. Really well done.

I made the mistake of thinking I was the reason the Avalanche were winning recently, so stayed awake thru a terrible game against Edmonton last night.  Although the Oilers goalie is good, at times he played like he was Dominik Hasek in his glory days of shutting us out.  The way he stands in the crease he looks like he is Shaq's height.

Would someone please tell me why news stations and internet sites need to update people constantly whenever and whatever a former "child star" is doing these days?  I saw on Yahoo that the young man who played randy on Home Improvement was "finally" back in a new show.  Really?  I can now rest easier knowing that this television pioneer will no longer be starving and that his family can finally quit living on the streets.cheeky

so my beloved Avalanche went out last night and did exactly what I was hoping they wouldn't and laid a big ostrich egg. They were shut out 4-0 and it was as luckluster an NHL game as you could ever find.  Things aren't going to get any easier their next 5 games.  They need to show up or they could be preparing for the draft by the time the trade deadline rolls around.

Good signing by the Broncos in free agency yesterday getting Luis Vasquez from the Chargers.  On the day Peyton Manning passes his physical which triggers $40million of guaranteed money, it's good to get him some more protection

I don't really know if I have more.. Today's picture of the day is for Christi.. h/t to WWTDD for bringing Claudia Romani into my life

The future Mrs. Kelendra Rowland-Nyce has a new single about [redacted].

The song is meh, but she gets a pass at everything from me because love is unconditional.

Even though it's an awareness campaign, the quantifiable data they collect is invaluable & will be used by the creative house on a follow up campaign or on future projects. Just an added bonus for the client and the people developing the piece. There was a great article in AdAge (paywall so I won't link) about how Hooters used age specific data to reposition themselves as a "happy hour" type chain like TGIF, OUTBACK, etc. Gender, age, education & income are typically the big four in positioning the message. When done properly the market segment overreach is the gravy. Deliciou$, deliciou$ gravy.

WOW!  Hope the rest of the week goes better than last week.  Maybe throw a penny in your beer this St. Patty's Day and wish me a Happy Birthday.  Maybe that little Leprechaun that hates putting me anywhere near the pot of gold under the rainbow will give you good luck.cheeky

If this doesn't work, try some warm milk and as a last resort mix in 2 shots of your favorite alcohol.

I know most of you don't listen to me about politics, but I need to be with me on this one. OK? Good.

Just a quick PSA: You may have heard talk about negotiations between the President and Congress of a "Grand Bargain" to "fix the debt and deficit problem." Just so you all know, "Grand Bargain" means cuts to Social Security and Medicare. Make with that information what you will, but I wanted to make sure we were clear on this as this goes on. OK? I'm done.

Been on FanIQ everyday for last 2 weeks, also was watching college hoops but anticipating who makes the final cut - Expecting the unexpected this March....Also on ESPN one of the sportscasters was gloating that Miami Heat may reach 25+game winning streak(it only counts in postseason).  Getting too gorgeous outside right now, wish I could bring FanIQ 2 the beach!'

I got a Tassimo for Christmas, and President's Choice makes an awesome morning blend.  I'm addicted to it like I used to be addicted to Folgers.

Kenne, you will find an even better job, I have faith.

That's Rob Crowe, lead singer, songwriter extraordinaire after the show.   Pinback was awesome.  Something about 3 piece bands.
