Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

I don't know what the hell I just did to my bracket :/. But, it's always fun cause I have no real investment in it.

OK, I need four folks in a fantasy baseball league. I can give you the info in a PM or I can just post it here. I am willing to beg and with 5 days or so left before the draft, I can grovel at you feet if it is absolutely necessary.  I'm not going to tell you guys in here that the name of the league is FANIQ or that the password is faniq, but let me know if you are interested.

Braves, Kings, Hawks, Falcons... hiiiiiii

I have just agreed to DJ my oldest daughter's 10 year reunion... somebody help me. Thank you, Spotify.  I am old. crying

I need a fishing trip.

Falcons, draft defensive players first. All my teams----> just win, baby.

Later.

Morning.

The new young guy from the Kings, TYLER TOFFOLI (pronounced TOE-FOE-LEE), scored his first of many goals in the NHL.....and what a beauty it was. Best part of it...........Dave Sanchez, the announcer at Staples pronunciation of his name AND the spontaneous standing O the crowd gave him. Kings win 4-0. Apparently, it's been 4 road games since the Coyotes have scored, so tonight's game may be a little fiesty. yes

OH...and the Sexy Beast Jeff CArter is back to scoring. Whoo hoo!

Morning, Everybodee!

Not much going on.  This afternoon I expect to play On Star when if my wife gets lost.  I've already given her a map to her destination, and since my daughter is also going, I've explained the map to her, pointing out the freeway exits and all.   It's not bad, really, only about 45 minutes from home, and the location is not too far from the freeway.  Take this freeway to that freeway, to one last freeway, first exit go right, couple blocks go left, couple blocks go right, location is on the left.     Yeah, I'm getting a phone call.

They are heading out to see a production of Menopause, the Musical.   Looks like a pretty good show; they should have a great time.

Count me in for baseball.  I need something to pass the time, since my Rox will be battling the Padres for NL West bottom all season.  We might have lost our edge, since Chase Headley has injured thumb for Padres.  Wonderful 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks last night for the Avs although Nuggets helped make up for it with nice ot drama win against Bulls.

Becky - thing of beaoooooty!! Go Kings

Kurt - I thought it was men who were directionally challenged?  On Star sucks up here.  I asked for directions to my nail supply store, thinking I would get shorter directions than I already knew.  Nope.  Sent me to the train station.

I'd forgotten short hair means a hair cut every 4-6 weeks.  Been five.  Today's the day.

Men are not directionally challenged. That's why we never have to stop and ask for directions.

And if a man asks another man for directions, we will give him the wrong directions. Because he should have known better.

The Silver Surfer shipped last night! Should be here Friday. Any takers on whether or not my current laptop decides to behave itself within that time just to make me reconsider my decision to replace it?

Nook bookers - Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code" is free for a limited time to download, I think since his new one is coming out in April. Just an FYI.

It's been over 2 weeks since I've been shooting. I'm kinda jonesing.

I pre-ordered tickets to go watch the Mariners play on August 10. Why that specific date? Because that's when Ken Griffey Jr. will be honored with a Mariners Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. I keep forgetting we got tickets and occasionally get hit by one of those "OOH!" moments. Hah. I'm excited.

I will give the Bates Motel a 7, it did good job of setting up characters/starting story lines/telling back stories. I think this might wind up being a pretty good show. I rarely enjoy the pilot of a new show. But this one has me looking forward to seeing where they plan on going with the show.

The movie version of the Da Vinci Code was meh at best, however the book was pretty entertaining fiction. It had a great Micheal Crighton-ish pace which made it easier to suspend disbelief and just rip through over a weekend. It's like the theologically equivalent of the "sciency" stuff in Jurassic Park or The Andromeda Strain. Solid 3 out of 4 stars imo.

Today's Thing that is Pissing Me Off (which I hope doesn't become a regular thing but probably will): Major League Baseball owners are about to vote on whether to eliminate the defined benefit pension plan that covers its non-uniformed personnel (i.e. the employees other than the players). Once again, the race to the bottom is on!

With all that's going on tonight, I'm skipping the Caps-Pens game, for the reason you don't volunteer to be kicked in the balls. Yes, hockey people, go ahead and call me a bandwagon fan.

Today in Self Promotion:

I previewed the AL East here. Warning: It's the longest one yet.

I haven't done a LR bracket in some times, and thus one is in the works. If you hate me (and I know you all do), rest assured. Another Q'er is assisting.

Who got their new laptop, from a brand they trust, today?! ME! It's so beautiful! And a bit fancy. And I don't know anything about all this windows 8 and tiles, but I like it already. I probably won't use it to its full potential, like me and my phone but whatever. I'm so happy just to have something that charges! F*** you, Toshiba. Never again.

Also, even if you never watch another episode, the pilot of Real Husbands of Hollywood is worth it. I enjoyed all of the episodes, but I think everyone would enjoy that first one.

I'm about to watch some GOT. Good evening, my lords... winter is coming.

I gave it a seven cause there is room for improvement. I don't tend to watch TV pilots, they tend to suck, are choppy, disjointed, because the goal is to set the ground work, introduce characters and start telling story lines. I thought that as far as pilots went it flowed really well and was well done. But as a fan for the Psycho movies, I don't really require much back story. I know the base 2 characters and for me they could have jumped straight into the story. This is about the first time I finished watching a pilot episode and am excited for next week.

Original or remade psycho? I am curious to see what the older brother thing is all about, I don't remember any other siblings in the original, but it has been awhile since I watched the movies.

I don't do remakes, not now, not ever. Remaking a great movie/song doesn't make someone great at what they do, it makes them a lazy hack. I don't ever remember a reference to a brother(not even in the book, but I also read that once about 25+ years ago). I am intrigued by the story line.
