Genetically modified food.   Fast food.  Processed food.  Why we're all sick and overweight and our kids have ADD.
On another note...

Victoria Secret commercials.  When I was a kid, commercials for lingerie used to be a mannequin with a bra over a shirt and an old dude
pointing out its features with a stick from about 4 feet away.  LOL

Sigh.
you are really old captain

Video games- when I was a kid we actually had to exercise to get some sort of entertainment- we didint have overweight children in my day- you had to run everywhere or ride a bike and none of this organized sports where you pay and your kid gets to play. You had to actually try out for a team !if you couldnt cut it- oh well, you just didnt play

the HORROR!...I had to actually get up and change the t.v. channel!

I had parents who didn't just buy me all these things to shut me up, they actually spent time with me and encouraged me to spend time with them.  The other thing I had was rules that were enforced with chores and occasional spankings, not with timeouts in those Best Buy departments that most kids call bedrooms these days.

When I was your age we had to physically DO the wanking motion, it wasn't just a hashtag or slash kicker at the end of a web post.

Dont know where you get the bashing part. Just looking at what was available then compared to now..

I guess someone has been eating a lot of chicken.

There is another one to add to the list - overly sensitive guys

I think he was talking about a specific post  not the poll because I thought something similar when I read one of them. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

What does "eating  a lot of chicken" mean to you?

People in their 60's,70's and 80's still call people from my generation,(late 30's-mid 40's) the "lazy" generation.  I think some of the smartest people I know are those between the ages of 21-35 these days.   They are pretty much commanding the salaries they want to work for, and most of them have influenced dress codes in the work place, as well as changing a lot of "old thinking" in regards to what I would call the work place, working from home and on the go without being confined to cubicles and offices.

These threads happen occasionally and inevitably it involves something along the lines of "kids/teenagers are lazy, disrespectful, and entitled," which forgets that teenagers *have always* been that way. Some grow out of it, others don't because they're ***holes would were probably raised by ***holes. It's even more rich when the complaining is from people of the age to be raising these kids, which begs the question whose fault is it?

It's stupid and repetitive bull****.
