Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Hola.
1. The Voice is very good.
2. I have 12 Chopped eps to watch.
3. Rebel Wilson is hosting the mtv whatevers... does she even act? Or do anything other than make ugliest celeb kids or worst celeb kids names list?
4. My sitcom bracket is alive and well, fyi. Mostly because I'm not picking based on quality. I want a tshirt when I win. I have South Park upsetting the Simpsons to make the final four...bold? I know. So, I have MWC/South Park and Seinfeld/Friends... with MWC taking home the victory :s
5. I haven't slept since Saturday afternoon, I don't think.
6. Which book won?

all i have to say is "where was the f**kin officiating in the growing pains/arrested development game?" this is like that gonzago fiasca all over again...

houston astros are hiring a social media reporter and my resume is in the stack! any good feelers would be awesome.

astros are really really bad. i saw the first pitch by rp #3 (alias, whatshisname) last night and it looked like something straight out of bull durham. "i wouldn't dig in if i were you, ameican league. i don't know where the next one's going."

a lot of bizarre s**t makes me happy, but nothing has come close to the happiness this picture brings me:

Morning,

zzzzzz

, huh?  Oh, Everybodee!

Ugh, what is that bright thing in the sky trying to kill me?

Last nights fireworks were fun, but the wind wasn't nice to us.  The Midway has a very large deck, and the wind picked up and blew debris pretty far.    It was a late show, approx. 9:40, and when we finished cleaning and packing everything up, and loaded onto the truck, it was about 11:45.    Still sleepy, and have some stiff muscles.

On the way off the ship, we loaded everything onto one of the elevators, one of which would bring planes to the upper deck.  When the ship is underway, and the steam engines are operating, the lift takes about 3 seconds.   Fully loaded with planes.    When the ship is docked, and the steam engines aren't running, the lift isn't quite as fast.  Think turtles.  (Not mutated ninja teenage ones either.)
Take your time....

Can we take the streets?
'Cause there's a horrible crash.
Well standing on the highway,
a girl and her Dad.
But you say yeah,

it's far too much for me,
far too fast of scenery
but your voice,

and your lips are moving words
that I cannot breach the noise.
But just remember always move fast.

We know you,
we own you.

Go home
and leave me at the door
or we can stay outside
of your house and just
wait for the morning.

Well I heard you
can't stay too long
the morning's got you worried.
Because the sun holds a
sea of troubles and an early drive away.

So I guess I'll just stay for a while
I guess you knew just from how I smiled.

Because there's no hurry
more like fucking nursery on a beautiful trial.
Just remember always move fast.

We know you,
we own you.

Go home
and leave me at the door
or we can stay outside
of your house and just
wait for the morning.
Cause I've seen your sadness grow
and it swallows these days till it hurts to breathe

She whispers,

thanks for your time tonight,
but, you are not awake yet
you are not awake, I swear.

She screams

it's all been in your dreams
with nothing tangible.
The girl, this house, the highway,
your mind made it real.

Just remember always move fast...

Tremendous game last night, although I must admit I was rooting for Michigan.  Wonder if Always Sunshine is slightly "hungover" todaywink  Nice to see that ESPN and lots of ego trips have made Doug Gottlieb forget that he wasn't exactly NBA All Star material as a freshman in college either.  Hey Doug, just acknowledge that Spike was hot from the floor in the 1st half for Michigan and leave it at that.  No, instead you have to say that it's only because Louisville lost him or chose not to guard him and that's why he scored.  He wasn't tired in the 2nd half as much as Trey Burke decided to try and be "player of the year" and go away from the "team" concept.

Hadn't seen that physical of a game between two teams since the glory days of Pistons/Bulls.  Thank goodness the ref's let them play, although even Peyton Siva has to admit Burke's block on Siva's dunk attempt in the 2nd half was all ball, not the foul that the ref's called.  Great choice for MVP, especially considering Luke Hancock's heavy heart dealing with his ailing father's health throughout this tournament.

I am a TV snob or something.  I hate this bracket thingy, because all the wrong shows are moving on.  ugh.

Work today.  No break to speak of, except for 15 minutes around 1pm.  Trying to bring something that I can eat then, that will give me energy to get thru the rest of the day, but not take forever to actually eat.  Going with crackers, cheese, a banana and an apple.   I figure I might be able to sneak back to the crackers and cheese occasionally throughout the day.

WELCOME BACK, JACK!!!

Morning.

Day 1 of my spring break.
1. Filling at the dentist that turned into a crown.
2. Mall shopping with a three year old. She came to me with no jacket and no tennis shoes (it was super windy and we were going to the park)
3. Park. I tried really hard to get this goose to chase Mia and I. It didn't cooperate, so I pushed her on a swing for 30 minutes. "Do you want to go on the slide, Mia?" "No.....more pushes." "Want to go on the other side of the park?" "PuSH."

4. Chalk Art--->a lesson on sharing. indecision

I need my hair cut. The temp will dictate how much.

I may go out and shoot something later this afternoon.

We have to go pick our taxes up sometime this week to see how much we owe. *sigh*

We get to have chicken tonight! (We don't eat poultry on nights that the Ducks are playing. Don't ask.) I'm not sure exactly how I'll be making it but comfort food sounds nice.

Trev found out he has some time off at the end of this month, so of course I'm checking game schedules. I'm ridiculous.

It's a Matchbox Twenty kind of day here.

Luke Hancock gives new meaning to "fear the beard."  Nothing short of inspired play the last couple of games, not to mention his shooting returned to normal after an injury at just the right time.  I cried when he spoke with his ailing dad after the game.  I am still pinching myself.  I also cried when they lowered the backboard so KWare could finish cutting the net.

...none was more powerful than that of Kevin Ware cutting down the net.

The officiating was HORRIBLE last night.  I'll admit we got away with a couple, although I'm sure Michigan did as well.  There's another championship game tonight.  This time it's for the ladies.  It would be sweet to bring that home also.

The bad news for the day is that my goddaughter lost her dad today.  Her mom, my best friend, died about 6 years ago from cancer.  She found him this morning.  No word on cause of death yet.  Please remember Tori and her family in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.  Julie's (my friend) parents have custody of her now.

We don't eat poultry when the Seahawks are playing either; even Buffalo Wings. We've altered menus in the past - mostly replacing Wings with pigs in a blanket, bbq smokies, pot stickers, teriyaki meatballs, whatever. It's all naughty.

I'd like to thank Loo-ah-ville and Michigan for having #WhiteBoyDay become a trending topic on twitter last night. Well done interwebs, way to get your game up. Officiating aside, that was a fantastic game.

Back story on why I love One Shining Moment so much: In the early 90's me and 5/6 friends got old apartments that were joined by a door. Weird but whatever? (fairly awful neighborhood too, eesh) We got rid of the door, turned one spare bedroom into a communal closet and the other spare into a phone room. (We only had one phone lol, "Cabs here!") We also turned our kitchen into a wet bar and all ate & cooked in the girl's kitchen. Eventually the Final Four championship game turned into an annual party for us and we all sang "One Shining Moment" at the end of the night in a drunken stooper like it was "Auld Lang Syne" at midnight on New Years.

Obviously it was some of the best times of our lives... that we probably shouldn't share in a FB thread.

(PS: I still have that paper Burger King Crown somewhere, the house conch if you will, I won it fair and... no wait. I totally cheated.)

Good morning
I watched a good chunk of the National Championship last night, congrats to Louisville.  It has to suck to be Luke Hancock though.  Dude brings the team back from the clutches of a blow out loss and I heard more last night and today about Kevin Ware.. That's too bad, Hancock will never have a moment this big ever in his life and it's overshadowed

The Avs suck, but good on JS Giguere going on a bit of a tirade after the game

Air Dubai is an entertaining musical act

I finally watched Flight.. The fact I got to see Mrs Ruxin nekkid in the first scene of the movie was quite the nice surprise

I got an alert that the Louisville ladies played their hearts out and came away with second tonight, which is still completely awesome, but not what Christi (remember when I used to forget the second 'i" and call you Christ?) wanted at all.  They should still be proud of their season, but they know that.

Spring is here again for a couple of days - we hit 38F today!!! Supposed to snow 6 inches on Saturday!!!!

My son got the word tonight (well no one actually told him squat, he figured it out when no other worker arrived with the crew change) that he will be on split shifts AGAIN for the next two weeks, the last two weeks of his season in camp.  Unfortunately, the supervisor who showed up today also doesn't allow him to sing along to the radio or dance while be puts away dishes, food, etc.  That is how he makes his job somewhat fun.  He sings, jokes, dances, and WORKS HIS ASS  OFF!!!!  He already has had a commendation by the Head Dude, why does this bitch feel he can't sing or dance and get his job done?  He's frustrated, and I hate it for him.
Pardon me, do you have any grey poupon...

I do remember when you used to call me Christ.  The girls had a good run, and I'm proud of them. Baylor was supposed to end our season, and they didn't.  Then Tennessee was supposed to end our season, and they didn't.  So, we've been crashing parties all week.  Tonight is the welcoming home party for both teams.
