these songs remind me of all the stuff my parents used to listen to when I was a little kid. I also did NOT know the Maya Rudolph connection to #27 until recently.

In many interviews after her break out movie " bridesmaids"- she will always hide the fact who her mother is unless you bring it up o her. She wants to be known for her ability not her mom's remarkable voice and she will be the first herself to tell you' she cant sing nowhere near her mother's ability

F**K BILLBOARD!  angry    cool

Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks shows up under 1973 listed at #68 on this site.

I'm using a different site.  This site ranks the songs by their initial and long lasting popularity and on their impact on the overall scope of the music industry for that year.

Ok, ok, I will continue to do the BILLBOARD ones as well........check out that POLL coming shortly

Exactly. I didn't know until a Bridesmaid junket piece with her in Esquire or New York Magazine (?). Mom and dad were pretty interesting.

Mom was "off the chain" - had a song in my early teens I use to quote all the time " Young Willing & Able" - I remember putting it all together when she appeared on the Ellen Show and she was stating she 's not going to tell who her mom was but she is a serious breast cancer advocate and I figured it out from the last name

I like this one better than Billboard, as it indicates the influence the songs had long after they were released.

It's nice to see Bob Marley come in at #1, he didn't have that kind of stardom at the time, but the legacy of his music will always live on & be remembered.
