Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Speaking of shymalan, Idk what the hell Si called him the other night but it made me holla. Gawd, I love him.

RIP Sean Collier, the 4th victim of the cowardly f**kslats that bombed the Boston Marathon.  I hope the fires of hell get stoked extra hot for those two b**ches.

Sup,

Hope the bombers rot in hell.  What a night.  I had to take an adderall (sp) to stay awake today and now I'm whiggin' out, man!

Cubs beat the hell out of the Rangers yesterday.

Bulls over the Nets in 6.

Blackhawks continue their winning streak tonight.

Potbelly for dinner.  You jelly?

Nick likes mimosas with oranges in them.

At least I left the bar and under my own consciousness!

Most of the bars you go to have a room in the back with a cot and a throw up bucket with your name on them or someone has to walk you out because you can't stand up any longer!  And, that's from you doing PUCKER SHOTS!  PUSS!

Good Friday Afternoon FanIQers,
Been watching CNN News all week since this the Boston Marathon Bombing occured, as of now one of the bombers has been killed, the other is on the loose.
I was born in  Boston, grew up 25mi.SE in Hull Ma. - I ran the Boston Marathon 3 times(1989,1991 and 1992) ... Extremely heartwarming when Boston Bruins fan chanted 'Star Spangled Banner' in unison.
Always trying to decipher the 'fine line' when sports and news events should/shouldn't coincide with each other...
Any thoughts are welcomed.
Live long and prosper...

Went to bed late last night, yet there was no word of any of the situation in Boston.   I checked for updates just before crashing.  All hell broke loose overnight.  Hope they catch the younger brother so they can interrogate him and find out why, who, etc.  Hopefully they were acting alone.

The names of the heroes in West, TX are being released slowly, as they are being identified.  So many of them were young men with their whole lives ahead of them.  Then I read that the fertilizer plant had been shut down previously for infractions.  I hope they are held responsible.

And finally, word came out this morning that there is a fire in a fertilizer storage facility in the town about an hour and a half from us.  The pictures being posted show it fully engulfed.  As with the fire in Texas, people were moved back.

UPDATE:  There was actually nothing in the facility, thank God, and it has burned down and is now contained.

i have gone drinking 3 weeks in a row now (kinda a big deal these days! [i know]) and i am really bad at it now. i've been going to a new place and i swear they only serve creeper booze. it's like somewhere in the middle of your 3rd double tall, it's like "whoa! i think i'm drunk." and then you try to stand up and your legs are all like "nope." and then you get caught kissing the bartender you think is named keri and sounds exactly like jenna elfman because when you're hammered, that is bananas sexy. and then your dad is all "leigh ellen!" because he caught you (hahaha whoa. i tried to type "you" and it came out "typo." i think i'm still drunk.) and then you're like "whoa, i am in so much trouble." and then it's like "oh wait, i'm 29, drunk and oh my god what the heck is he doing here....right now."  and then you go eat chinese floor on the floor of your mom's empty house and there's a giant stuffed animal giraffe that is judging your life decisions. so you're like "whatever doug (the giraffe's name). you don't know me, man." so you go home and eat a couple of pieces of peanut butter brownie puppy chow and let sam the dog have a piece (even though doug probably would probably disapprove of that too). it's kinda like cheers!

i gif you my favorite tv men.

Afternoon Q'ers!  Been a busy week (which is good), so I haven't been able to post as much here.

Hope they catch the other bomber soon....kill eventually, but catch and interrogate.  I think that bamboo shoots under the fingernails would be a nice start

RANGERS WIN!  They beat the lowly Panthers 6-1....now, I hope they didn't use up all of the goals for the rest of the season.  They play Buffalo tonight, and the Sabres always give them trouble.

Yankees are hanging on....Cervelli hits a homer to send it into extra innings...and the Yanks give up 4 in the top ot the 12th to lose 6-2.  I didn't see the collapse because I was watching an interview with the Hanson Brothers (from Slap Shot Fame).  I didn't realize that the Hanson Brothers do appearances and raise MAJOR funds for different causes....still, one of the funniest movies of all time.

Here's today's pic.....

That works too.

I stayed up entirely too late watching twitter and listening to the BPD scanner chat. So much madness. There was something about a naked guy, then the naked guy wasn't a suspect, there was a cop who called himself Kevin "In-N-Out" Brennan, the first suspect getting run over, shot, and blowing himself up - not necessarily in that order. Then no, he didn't blow himself up. Then they caught 3 more suspects before I went to sleep. I woke up and they were still looking for the 2nd suspect (I still have no idea what the "2nd suspect in custody plus 2 more" was all about). Then BPD was asking people to please stop tweeting their whereabouts and actions (though I was listening to the scanner feed, I wasn't tweeting what they were doing...I behaved.) Apparently it was all breaking on twitter before any of the news sources. I hope they catch the guy (or guys) soon.

Yeah twitter and the scanner feeds were nuts. One of the more surreal things I've ever experienced. Bedlam. Could you imagine if twitter existed on 9-11?

Exactly. These "remember where you were" moments are all going to be associated with Twitter as our collective for a ton of people. News breaks there and other sites (reddit, 4chan, etc. in the case of identifying the two lunatics). The bad part is the News is crowd sourced, unreliable, spreads incredibly fast and is still better than most outlets. I find that so strange. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing, it's just how it is.
