Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

I love most things delightfully sinful.

RIP sweet Maya Angelou

so I don't drink a lot of those odd drinks you find at Starbucks. Well this morning my brother went and picked up a few things for everyone in my office and he got a free Caramel Frappucino. I've never had a frappucino. I feel like I just took a bump off a stripper's ass

while i'm rehabbing my knee, i hate to take days off outside of scheduled ones. so this morning i got all my gear on even though it was pouring just in case there was a break in it. sure enough at 6:45 it slowed enough for me to go and when i got to the freestyle/turn around point, i had to improvise:

it was fun! the greater houston area is pissed and under rested because the national weather service blasted an alarm to all the smart phones at 4am. i want to know who authorized that.

Morning Q'ers!  Hope your day is busier than mine.  I'm in my satellite office, which sees mostly senior citizens who are allowed to come in once every 9 weeks....well....9 weeks ago today, and 9 weeks BEFORE that, we had SNOW....so....consequently, we're not that busy today.  Sitting here twiddling my thumbs....

Bad night in sports for my favorite teams....the GREAT team, the RANGERS, really didn't want to close out the Canadiens.  After falling to a 4-1 deficit, King Henrik got pulled for rookie Cam Talbot.  Rangers scored 3 goals to tie at 4-4, then Talbot did what King Henrik had done.....gave up a soft goal...final...7-4.  Yankees lost to St. Louis....only bright side to that is that my brother, who is a Yankees fan like me, lives in St. Louis and went to the first 2 games of the series and is going to go today.

Here's today's pic....enjoy!

Have a GREAT HUMP DAY!

I just want to
.

The AHS new season is called Freak Show :)
I just started Supernatural last summer and I really miss binge watching. I need to start again. Real time is crap. I suppose I could finish Breaking Bad.

I'm eating an omelette. And I had a caramel macchiato this morning. And when I logged on to pinterest for the first time in a week, i was welcomed back with david tennant. :D

Day off.  Have so much to do today, and I sit here on my ass, playing on the net and watching last night`s 48 Hours.  Still got some stuff done, so I`m not a  total ditcher.

Planting the (maybe) last of my bedding plants in a few minutes - it got quite cool last night, just above freezing, so waiting a little bit.  My buddy, Gonzo, is lying here with me, just content to beeeeeee with me.  such a dog.

Oh yeah, we got Sour Puss Peach in yesterday, so I had to buy a bottle.  Made a shot with Butter Ripple Schnapps and called it Peach Pie.  It`s awesome.

Stay safe Houston, New Orleans and surrounding areas.  Looks brutal on the weather map.

I was showing "react now" on the locker room page, and I come in here to find that six of you motherf**kers have already posted in here.  Y'all are beasts.

I hope this phenomenal woman has claimed the sky today.

Caged Bird

BY MAYA ANGELOU
A free bird leaps
on the back of the wind
and floats downstream
till the current ends
and dips his wing
in the orange sun rays
and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks
down his narrow cage
can seldom see through
his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and
his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze
and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees
and the fat worms waiting on a dawn bright lawn
and he names the sky his own

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.

During the summer they have a frapp called "Mocha Cookie Crumble"...you should try it. It's decadent. Chocolate mocha frapp with chocolate whip cream and crushed Oreos in and sprinkled over it. OMG. It's back right now...I know this, because every time my husband goes to PA, I get an alert from my Starbucks app that he's there without me. Jerk.

I feel guilty rooting for the Rangers, because I know Montréal hasn't been there in forever, but I...Lundqvist. And I feel like I'm "not a true Ducks fan" if I root for the Kings, because apparently as sports fans we're supposed to despise every team in our division over all others or we're stupid and don't know the sport, but I can't help it. I want it to be a Rangers/Kings Finals.

Lol! Luther asking Alice to off some one is the equivalent of asking a friend for a ride from the airport.

Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

Daughter had an award presented to her yesterday.    Outstanding Junior Class Musicianship Award.  (There's one for Fresh, Soph, and Senior.)

Tonight is the school board meeting.   Ought to be interesting.  4 out of 5 Board Members apparently couldn't say no to bribes and gifts, and ended up plea bargaining out.    The County Board of Ed. had to appoint temporary board members until the regular positions can be filled.  2 are up for election this year.  Not sure about the other 2 positions, how long the temps are filling in for.

I'm attempting to speak during public communications along with an unknown number of other parents and students about our school music program   We have an overzealous Ass. Principal attempting to drop the music program, and apparently the Principal doesn't appear to be putting up much of a fight.    We actually have the music teacher from the middle school helping us with this one.  (He is a rather unlikely ally in this.)

You should probably pack your jammies and a Snickers bar. Bet you're gonna be there for a while.  (Leave the coffee thermos at home, just in case.)

Wait a minute...you weave some pretty good stories yourself.  Never mind. Carry on...and send me directions. I wanna hear this too.
