Bullying in high school
Read the Article: Bullying in high school

After seeing an article about a high school tennis player who left the state title match because of heckling I must say I was perplexed.  Was this act worthy of giving up your chance at a once in a lifetime dream of winning a title or was it simply a case of someone who needs to become mentally tougher?  I am not a parent, so no I don't know what it's like to raise children who are bullied.

While not a parent, I was made fun of all thru school and most of my 20's for being fatter than the norm, although my family and friends, plus my doctor told me I was in the norm.  I simply think this day and age people of all ages have forgotten that children's song from our past about stick/stones may break our bones, but words will never hurt us.

New Hampshire.  The young lady's family moved to Massachusetts, but she was playing for the NH state title.
