Stella Rose was baptized yesterday. Molly wanted to help pour the water on her sister and dipped  her hand into the font. then she held her hand up to the Deacon and Priest  and ask for a wipe.  it's been a good weekend.   work can p*ss off i'm on vacation for the week. my daughter is still home and I will force her to take me to lunch.  that is all.

Hoping the Bruins will win tonight, mostly because this series has been to good not to go 7 games.  I am also waiting to see 11/16 if Johnny Hendricks will live up to the hype and even give George St. Pierre anything more than a good sparring match.

Hi kiddos,
I am worn the f out this morning. 4 hockey games and a baseball game between 10:45 friday night and 3:30 yesterday. Our hockey tournament was fun this weekend, but we ended up losing in the championship game yesterday afternoon. Had a few chances to tie it late, then gave up an empty netter and lost 5-3. But the tourney was a success, the group putting it on raised about $60K and one of the cool things they did was buy a $7500 service dog for a 19 year old kid who suffered some pretty serious brain trauma in a hockey incident a couple years ago. His insurance company decided he had too much ability to cover a dog, so this group got one for him. Then all the teams in the tournament collected about $6700 to cover the costs of sending the family to New Mexico for a couple weeks to get acclimated to the dog and do all the necessary training. The other cool event they do every year is what they call the Survivor game that they play Saturday afternoon where they have 2 teams comprised of people who are either battling or have overcome cancer and other serious illnesses. yesyes
Of course there was one team in one of the lower divisions who brought tons and tons of douchebaggery but what are you gonna do?

(Edited by ms_hippie_queen)
i kicked so much ass this weekend. i'm really quite tired!

on saturday i pulled all the weeds at sandy's house and fluffed her garden and then used the money i made there to go to home depot to buy a 4x4 i need for a project. of course the machine to cut it in-store didn't work, so i ended up having to drive with 8ft of lumber coming out of my little saturn sedan which wasn't so bad after i nearly took someone's head off in the parking lot.

sunday, i ran the kemah bridge twice with my sister, fluffed my own garden, sawed the 4x4 with the stupidest tool, it may as well have been a nail file, vag-steamed the house, mowed the front and back and emptied our two storage bedrooms into the hall, put all his stuff into one room and all mine into the other and then finally made my girl cave i've been dreaming of having since i moved in! it smells so good in there now and not only is there plenty of room for hula hooping, but there's places galore for me to put my art supplies and i have a feeling s**t's about to get real arty now that i have a good room for it again. then we walked the dogs and slow danced in the kitchen.

i'm pretty happy.

going to a total hippie's 50th birthday this saturday and it's byod (drum), everything else is provided.

it was 96 here yesterday and I was on my patio, which is on the roof of my townhome, laying outdoor carpet and transferring flowers and plants that we bought into pots.  It was disgustingly hot!

I really envy you. I am worn the f out as well, but it's because I work too many effing jobs and I don't know how to say no. Today is the 22nd straight day of work and it doesn't look like I get a day off until Sunday......maybe.  A full week of vacation coming up in three weeks tho. Ssssshhhhhh don't tell anyone!

Sup my peeps,

Top of the morning and what a fine morning it is.  Spent the weekend in Michigan doing fun things like hanging out  at the beach, BBQing, patio drinking, Island Fest (ya mon!), and watching the HAWKS take a 3-2 series lead.  It was funny….we missed most of the first period due to dinner going a little longer than expected.  We then walked into one of the hotel bars and BAM!  Right as we walked in Kaner scored.  We went back to our room during intermission to change, came back to the hotel bar, and BAM!  Same thing happened.  ‘Twas a good night.  Tonight could be the night…..can’t wait.  Giggity….

Got back to the city last night right around the time the festivities of gay pride were ending.  There was a group of 8-10 walking down our street drunker than Nick at an all you can drink Zima party.  Anyhoo, one of the women at the front of the group stumbled over a curb and the rest of the group then fell domino-style.  Shat was hilarious.

Ended the weekend having a mini-marathon of Parenthood.  Almost caught up now…

Have a good day and remember…one in the bush is worth two in the hand.

So Monday started off with the AC overflowing somehow in to the ceiling in my sons room and plaster falling on the floor.
AC guy is here, he is st**ed out of his mind.  I just gave him a mason jar full of ice water.  I don't want him to pass out in the attic, it's gotta me 130+ up there.

I spent Saturday at the Green Market, got some grass fed chicken and pork for cheap, cheap cheap.  Also, some eggs and a mint plant.  I have been making this tea punch that needs mint and that stuff is spendy at the store.  If I can keep the white flies off of it, I shall have tea punch all summer!!

I think I am officially a hippee and least when it comes to food.  Not living on grassshots or seeds yet, but dang I am saving a lot of money making everything from scratch.  It tastes great and I can make 3 meals for what 1 out of the frozen food or packaged food makes.   I don't even miss the corn syrup anymore!!  If I plan out my meals, it really takes no more time.

La la la...

Yeah right!  What Johnny really meant to say is that he had a great time participating in the Parade!

Just look, doesn't he look like he's having a great time?

My brother and nephew are planning a trip down in Nov. for Hawks/Falcons game, because as my neph will gladly tell you in tail great detail that Russ Wilson walks on water & poops ice cream.

Rooting for a game 7 since i don't have a horse in the race.

Twitter forced me to watch (& ridicule) Wallenda. I had NO idea until my TL exploded. It's really fantastic TV when everybody is watching. Smart move Discovery Channel. It lead right into Naked Survivor or something that nobody watched, but still. The execution was perfect in theory. Don't blame the moronic lead in, blame the crap that's doomed to fail. (I'm looking at you ABC/TNT/NBC)

Showtime's Ray Donovan is my new, craptacular guilty pleasure. You can watch the premier for free. it's not supposed to be funny but I really liked the degenerate Mr. Wolf angle as well as all the scummy, morally broken characters. Jon Voight & Liev Schrieber were great.

That comeback was weaker than Robbie Gould's bench press.

Bulls may be trading Luol Deng to DC for Okafor and the #3 overall pick.  Stay tuned!

Oladipo or Porter would be nice fits. I kinda like the thinking here, especially since Deng is on the books for $14.5 mil and is a UFA next summer. They could get a similar player, save $11 mil AND basically get the same expiring $14.5 mil dollar Okafor contract to dangle at the deadline or sooner. DC could max out Deng just to have a non-knucklehead with talent going forward. (Wall-Beal-Deng is a really nice 1 thru 3 too.) An NBA trade that makes sense... I'm speechless.
