Sup?

- Dinner Friday night @ The Girl and the Goat.  Place is freaking delish!  The grilled baby octopus was amazing.  Definitely going back.....and soon.

- Wedding Saturday and it was a great time!  Ya boy was getting his jit on on the dance floor.  Let's just say there was a ton 0f 90s music being played, especially Nelly.  That was my way of making up for missing the concert earlier in the day at North Ave Beach.

- Went to the beach yesterday and fell asleep.  As a result, ya boy got fried.  High of 90 the next few days so the AC will be cranked and our food will be grilled instead of baked!

Nick, how did y'all do on Friday?

I don't think I've ever watched an episode of Glee, but I know my daughter has.  I read the news yesterday, but didn't realize who he was.  Now I have to tell her.  Sorry to hear this.

It is, to much to soon and not being able to handle the success train. Glee is a great show! It's a mix of "after school special & music".

Work today was so boring!! It has been cold here, just a couple of degrees above freezing at night, and only 50 or so during the day, so the golf course was empty.  Lots of cleaning today, and I felt like crap all day.  Relaxing now and watch a movie :)

Found out today on facebook, that the man who was the intake chaplain at Harvest Farm in Colorado passed away with his 2 sons at his side.  His name was Jack McDonald.  Harvest Farm is a fully functional farm, associated with the Denver Rescue Mission, and is located in Wellington,CO.  Jack was a former graduate of the program.  In September 2009 after nearly 8 weeks of calling Jack Mac every friday to check in with him and let him know I was still interested in the program, I was finally brought up to the farm as a new intake.  On January 11, 2011 I graduated from Harvest Farm and have been sober every day since I walked on the farm  Jack not only talked to me about God,(christian based program) he also talked to me about life,Bronco football and never forgeting how his son's and ex-wife hadn't ever given up on him.  Good Bye Jack and if I am ever lucky enough to get to heaven, your one of the 1st people I will be looking for.
I'm so happy you're gone...

We ended up winning in extra innings 5-3.  We are now tied for 1st but they have the tie-breaker over us due to them outscoring us in our head-to-head matchups.  So, we need a loss of tie from them over the course of the last 2 games.

Facebook reminds me daily of why I always felt so out of place where I grew up, and why I wanted out so badly.

That is all.

Apparently if you tell a deli worker at a grocery store you want 3/5 of a pound, first they look at you like you have three heads, then it takes three of them to figure out what you're talking, and it still ends up wrong the first time.

Some songs make it difficult to breathe...

Last night I went blind painting some pictures of you
I built you a house and I dreamt you were you
Didn't want to wake up, didn't want to come round
I knew when I did, I would not hear a sound

You gave me your hand and I gave you my heart
I gave you my life, you ripped it apart
Leaving me stripped, my warts and all
Took off my mask and you built me a wall

Leaving me stripped, my warts and all
Took off my mask and you built me a wall

Tonight I'll go blind painting pictures of you
I'm so happy you're gone...

Apparently my aching back was caused by a kidney stone.  Said stone is no longer with me.  Thank God for small favors, but I never, ever want to go thru that again.

Going to the next city over tomorrow cuz my kids want to.  I had a scary awakiening today when I checked the cell phone bill.  While mine remains within the limits of my plan, BOTH kids are significantly over their plan limits.  I "suggested" that they needed to pay the overages, then I "suggested" that I would be putting limiters on their phones - once they hit the limit (they will get one notification at 75%) they will have no further internet access allowed, unless I authorize it.  Hate to be the bitch here, but I do not have $440 extra just lying around.  Son paid the difference, daughter paid him.

I'm watching WWE Raw.  Can't believe I am doing this.

If you said that to me, I would look at you stupid and then tell you to let me know when I hit it because I'm not even going to attempt this math, satan.

wtf? UGH MATH.

It's a simple fraction, for cripes' sake. If I hadn't already given up on the human race long ago, this would've done it.

Right. I can't f***ing do fractions. and simple? 3/5 is not simple to me. It requires pen and paper for me. 1/2 and 1/4 are simple. What's 3/5 of 16 oz? The answer is meooow.

A better question to ask the man would have been, "I'd like 3 out of every 5 ounces up to a pound of meat." or just......"Can I have 10 ounces (round up)?"

indecision Over a fraction? That's a little overly dramatic, I think.

In fairness, usually when working with food weights and measures the customary fractions used are 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, and 3/4 of something...at least in every recipe I've ever used...seeing or hearing 3/5 would throw me for a loop too.

Or you could have just made it easy on them since their scales generally go by the decimal in the first place and asked for 0.6 lb. Is it silly it took 3 people to figure that out? Sure...but I don't think grocery store delis give math quizzes before they hire. I could be wrong. (I could totally be wrong about the math too...I've never been great at math myself.)
