Peyton Manning vs. Eli Manning: Who is better?
Peyton Manning vs. Eli Manning: Who is better? Photo

Is Peyton Manning the better quarterback than Eli Manning because of the head-to-head record in the favor of Peyton Manning (2-0 all-time vs. Eli) or Is Eli Manning the better quarterback because of his 2 Super Bowl Rings and his will to persevere even when the odds are stacked against him?

I hate when people use SB rings to determine which QB is better. Football's a team sport and it takes an entire team to win a championship game. Overall, Peyton's stats are far beyond Eli's. I'm sorry, but nobody can tell me that Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, Brad Johnson, Doug Williams, Jim Plunkett..(I could go on) were better QB's than Dan Marino. These are examples of QB's who had a really good team around them, and/or had a really good game on SB Sunday.

Peyton.

I must say however, that as big a fan of Peyton's as I am, unless he wins another Super Bowl many will give Eli the advantage based on 2 wins of his own.

Peyton is great during the regular season but in the playoffs, he has more unsuccessful playoff games...  Some people would put him in that "Tony Romo" category if it wasn't for that one super bowl ring Peyton has.

I agree wholeheartedly, and as a Bronco fan I must say I disagree with many experts that say Denver will play for the Super Bowl this year.  Our running game and back four of the defense better get 150% better or we might lose in 1st round of playoffs, especially on the road if we don't get homefield advantage.

The Broncos should be fine this season.  The AFC West is a weak division and the Broncos' schedule is nice for the Broncos...  You're right, as long as Tom Brady is taking snaps for the Pats,  he's has been very successful against Peyton Manning head-to-head especially in the playoffs...  Losing Elvis Dumervil was a large loss for the Broncos as far as rushing the passer.  But yeah when it comes to Bill Belichick and his sneaky gameplan, you can never count New England out regardless of what has happened with Aaron Hernandez (Legal Issues) and Rob Gronkowski trying to stay healthy. Montee Ball will play a critical part into the Broncos' offense since the running game was suspect last year.

Peyton has been lucky .He has always had a better line to block for him and better receivers than Eli.. A dome dose not hurt either . So if Eli had a dome to play the most of his career in rather than outside stadium .That makes a difference.

Eli is only good when up against Tom Brady (2 SB's)  Peyton takes more command of a game and strikes more fear in opponent's heart than Eli
