Next Stop..................
There is a TV show out there called Next Stop in which they preview a different city each show.

I thought it would be cool if you wanted to share pictures, video's and/or facts of the city or closest major city to where you live.

If you want to post a video, you could go to YOUTUBE.COM and search for NEXT STOP (your city name)

or, if you have a Pinterest Board/s of your city, you could share that.

My Stop...........Chicago

Here Is my town:

Yeah. Belding, Michigan has nothing cool in it. Unless you think 12 pizza places and a McDonalds are cool.

Next Stop....Seattle!

Video - I may have to come back and edit for that.

You can thank me later for making this page load so slowly due to pic ridiculousness. Love y'all! Enjoy my city...

(With Rainier in the background)

(Our own little Seattle icon...no, it's not the tallest structure in Seattle.)

(A view of the skyline from Alki Beach)

We spend most of our city time at Centurylink Field. Since we have Seahawks season tickets and live a little over four hours away, we have to be conservative with the frequency of our trips:

And when we're not going to Centurylink, we're usually going to Safeco Field to watch the Mariners!

Of course when we drive that far for a game, we prefer to stay the night (or two) when we can. While we're not cheering on our teams, we would rather not sit in our hotel room...would you? Especially in a place as cool as Seattle! I'll share with you mostly the touristy stuff because I don't have the time (and you don't have the attention span) and posting too many pics is obnoxious. I'm straddling that line already...

EMP (Experience Music Project) from the outside...in City Center, we don't usually go inside, because it's a little expensive for a short trip and requires at least a full day to truly appreciate it.

I have been inside a couple of times, and I can't imagine this ever being less awe inspiring than the first time I'd ever seen it:

While we're talking music, we can't forget the Jimi Hendrix Memorial

What's a tour of Seattle without the Boeing Museum of Flight?

Another place that I love, being a fan of architecture AND books - The Seattle Central Library:

And you may recognize this guy (The Fremont Troll) from the movie 10 Things I Hate About You, and probably others:

Of course there's all the shopping and amazing food we really need at Pioneer Square (within walking distance of the fields):

One of my very favorite places to go - a trip to Seattle wouldn't be complete without Pike Place Market!

And while I'm at Pike Place, I have to go have myself a gyro and spanakopita at Mr. D's

Also while we're there, I can't pass up a stop at the original Starbucks...where it all started:

There are all sorts of other museums we like to explore; in Seattle it's difficult to run out of things to do, and we still have yet to do so many things; touristy and local "musts". Next time we go, I'd like to check out some historical lesser known areas.

San Jose I guess is a "major" city.  There are more people in the city limits than the more well known city 45 miles north.  But there is nothing of note here.  So here's San Francisco....

Obvious.

Lands End.

Obvious.

Palace of Fine Arts

The Exploratorium

Legion of Honor

Coit Tower

California Academy of Sciences

Lombard Street

The 17th hole at Lincoln Park Golf Course

The Willie McCovey Statue across the Cove...

Just a heads up - if any of you noticed that I've edited something in your post and didn't leave an *edited* note - it was just to resize pictures to fit

OK...   Here's San Jose.

City Hall

The Shark Tank.  With yet another corporate sponsor...

1st Street downtown

Cesar Chavez Plaza

Adobe HQ.  One of the very few high tech companies actually headquartered in SJ.

Home of the California League San Jose Giants!  (Class A ball)

EBay is actually in San Jose too....

The Japanese Friendship Garden in Kelly Park is nice...

Dirdon Station.

Tower Hall at State University.

And of course, the Winchester Mystery House.  Google it if you don't know it....

i've got this 20minutes to the north of me

and this 20 minutes south of me

right in between is the clear lake (new money) / friendswood (old money) / seabrook (mob money) area which is mostly pretty waterfront,  nice houses for cheap, good schools, a 2:1 mercedes-to-clunker ratio, a bunch of snobbywomen with fake boobs, ugly bald men in scrubs or astronaut suits, and locals only nightlife. our claims to fame are the johnson space center, andrea yates, all of zztop, patrick swayze and missbeyonce herself. i made my powder puff t-shirt in her backyard.

Well I guess I can post some pictures of the Southern California area, since where I live there is absolutely nothing good to see...

Big Bear Lake

Newport Beach (I may be moving here within a year)

Disneyland

It's Washington DC...you're screwed either way. I'm pretty sure a post on a FanIQ poll isn't going to sway the droves one way or another - trust me, anyone who wants to go to DC has already done so or it's already on their bucket list.

Well....I'm 60 minutes from NYC, 60 Philly and 60 minutes from Atlantic City.....so I'll post a few "closer cities"

Here's Asbury Park, which has lost its glory from the Springsteen days of coming of age...

A little south of me is the place where Snooki and her ilk hung out, Seaside Heights

(oh yeah...this guy was in Seaside a few years ago)

But this is where I actually live, Point Pleasant

Gotta love that ocean!  Great poll, Nick!

I could if I only showed pictures of panhandlers, broken Metro trains, 100 degree heat readings, politicians, beer prices, politicians, K Street, politicians, and me. That would do the trick.

I responded to this yesterday, but apparently it didn't make the cut....I grew up in Brick, practice in Brick (next town over from Point Pleasant), but have lived 18 of the last 25 years in Point Pleasant
