This old man just told us a joke.

Police came to old man's door and said "we are gettin reports of your dog chasing kids on bicycles" and the old man said "feller, my dog can't even ride a bicycle"

HA! this cracked me up... and my baby mama is looking at me like that wasn't not funny at all, which made my giggle fit worse.

wow, i thought the bed one was the best gif ever, until two posts later. this is the best gif ever. my eyes are watering. where did you find this?? (kat, i'm pretty sure it's a very young whoopi goldberg actually, take note of when the mouth is at its highest point)

ps. astros are so young (how young are they??) the astros are soooo young that we haven't had an astros' wives gala in 6 years. and they don't know the trick about silent treatment for first homers. they are also under the impression that they can bank unnecessary runs in lop-sided victories (in last night's case, 10) and apply them to later games when they blow the lead in the 6th inning on. gah. i amso ready to be disappointed in another asport.

p.p.s sorry i wasmoody yesterday.

I really wish I could be one of those mothers who enjoy every minute of summer break with their child. I mean...I'm not sure if those moms exist, but I see people on my FB all the time complaining about the mothers who are excited for the beginning of school, chiding them for not appreciating every precious moment with their little ones.

But....

You know that annoying coworker who won't shut up while you're trying to work? "yap yap yap yap" and once in a while you'll give them your undivided attention, hoping that if they get their story out that they'll finally shut up for a little while and you can get your work done - only to be so focused on something 20 minutes later that their voice startles you out of your place of concentration and you grit your teeth and clench your fists, "yap yap yap yap"...And then after a few hours of this, you act annoyed with them and then you feel like a jerk because they're obviously lonely and just want a friend?

Yea, that. Every. single. day.

Ha, sure but he was so old and cute and laughing before he got it out. So funny. He has on his like a mechanic's uniform shirt with black suspenders! and a smoky dingy camo hat, and was convincing us that chewing tobacco is good for us...partly because it fights off the worms.

Just got the lowest summer utility bill ever.  Only $378, they usually run over 500 this time of year.  BTW, that's electric, water /sewer and trash pickup.     Also, Geico dropped my rates by $40 a month.   I feel like I got a raise!

Chiming in: I have yet to meet one of these wonders of nature. Being human we all have those days regardless of how much we love our kids. When someone tells me about "enjoying" every precious moment, I offer to let her have Joshua for an hour, I have yet to have "supermom" take me up on the offer.
You work from home,  an added level of stress, plus you haven't been feeling up to par lately, it all takes it toll. Keep the faith: School really is just around the corner!

It's so crazy, seeing people make comments like "I just don't understand parents who look forward to their kids being gone all day" or "I don't get it when parents aren't excited for school to get out - maybe you shouldn't have had children if you don't want to spend time with them." Uhm...really? I'm convinced these moms have no other life outside of their children - which is fine. If that's what makes them happy and gives them fulfillment then that's awesome. But that's not me. I love my daughter to pieces and wouldn't trade her for the world...but not only do I need "uninterrupted work time," I also need other sorts of "me" time that doesn't include her as well, and it doesn't mean I love her less than the next mother loves their child. I need to be an individual; not an extension of my child or my husband. (Edit: She also gets plenty of mom-and-me time.)

Sorry...therapy session I guess, haha! Facebook annoys me. I know way too many people who pretend to be something they're not and judge others for not living up to their fake standards.

Just another reason why I stay off FB. I tried to pity them, but I don't like liars.
Sounding off is good therapy, keeping things bottled up makes you age faster (it's a fact) :)

Accountants (and auditors) are people too!

People forget the IRS doesn't make the tax laws, just enforce them. Somebody has too. Get over it.

when did you find out you hate your child?

In the same vein, if I were to ever take a job at the IRS, would all of my posts get PQ'ed, or would I just get banned immediately for expediency's sake?
#39 | 363 days ago

(Are we still doing triple post thing? If not, it's Teach's fault)

One would think that Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones leaving Parks and Rec would LITERALLY be the worst entertainment news of the week, but that was clinched earlier with Eileen Brennan's death. RIP Mrs. Peacock.

"Get over it" = kinda unnecessarily abrasive.

I think venting about the IRS (for pretty much anyone) is just a generalization - don't take it personally. Breaking it down and talking in depth about which law, who made it, why they're enforcing it every time we want to bitch about taxes would be ridiculously cumbersome. Seriously.

I actually don't even mind paying taxes...I just don't like having to be responsible with my money...I wanna play.
