Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Apparently RGIII got fined 10k for wearing a Tshirt that the NFL doesn't approve of during a pre-game practice that he wasn't even playing in. The shirt says Operation Patience, as a reference to him having to sit out all pre-season with his nagging injury. Last year they fined him a similar amount for wearing Adidas gear, when the NFL has an exclusive contract with Nike. I'm starting to hate Goodell more & more each day.

Also check out this unlicensed piece of crap Tshirt. Possibly the worst NFL merch I've ever seen, but it's the usual garbage they sell at Trucker stops.

I'm not too sold on the idea of Ben Affleck playing Batman in the Man of Steel sequel: Superman vs Batman. It might work though, alot of people bitched about Heath Ledger playing the Joker initially.

Son, you got a panty on your head

When I read that he was fined, I thought maybe it was about brand again. Are they serious with this "Operation Patience"? Out of control. Seriously.

Happy Gif Friday!

Robs phone is dying.Verizon won't let him get a new phone with  6 months left on his contract with Verizon, 18 months on mine.  Thinking of switching to T Mobile;   Cancellation fees=$550       I think it's worth it to switch now.   It will knock $100 a month off our monthly bill and no contract with a new Galaxy Note 2.......upfront cost vs down the long road.   Ugh grownup decisions suck.

Last poll of the 30 day drawing challenge.  Cudos to people who make daily polls.  PITA    Go draw something or just post pictures, IDGAF

The only bad thing about the T Mobile no contracts and upgrade whenever you want is that when you do upgrade you pay full retail price of the phone you buy.  Supposedly Verizon is supposed to start up a no contract thing sometime soon. I think the soonest they have ever let me upgrade is like a month before.

What to watch on a Thursday night if you think your a racist, and want to test yourself against the average person.  For my buddy that means watching Sullivan and Sons where they make sure that every group is equally offended by their stereotypical jokes.  I watched the season finale with him and spent the whole time staring at him and shaking my head, while also questioning why don't I get up and go watch Ravens/Panthers.  That show is absolutely worthless.

They just told us they will do it, BUT.....have to sign another 2 year contract.  We have unlimited everything for both of us for 186.00 a month.  The new phone will be $200.   Corporate BS!!   I'm going back in.

Thanks Kat!

Edited because although our phone bill seems high, Rob does not use a laptop and conducts all his business personal and otherwise on the phone.   I use my internet all day for work while I go on quests.

LOL! Which phone is he getting?

You're welcome smiley

P.S. I pay $170 for 2 phones and only one of us has unlimited data. So your plan sounds good to me.

Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

youngfool arrived home today for the weekend.  My wife met him at the train station.   I'm not sure if he is planning on coming out on the fireworks barge tonight, but I know his mother misses him so, and wants him to stay home tonight.  I think she already has him in a momma-bear-hug, with no intentions of letting him go.    I think she will be ok with letting him go tomorrow.

Little League championships going on.  I'm rooting for the Mexico team to make it.  They currently have one loss, needing to face-off against Japan.  If they can win, they are in the World Series Championship game.

There is another game today, I think New England vs Washington (Sammamish)   The winner of that game plays Eastlake for the other spot in the championships.    I'm hoping both Eastlake and Mexico make it.   The Mexico team is from Tijuana.  Just the other side of the border.   And Eastlake is in our south bay area, just this side of the border.   Two nearby teams playing each other for the World Series would be pretty awesome.

And 9 more days until...

I got free tickets to tonight's Louisville Bats (Cincinnati Reds affiliate) game against the Toledo Mudhens (Detroit affiliate).  We won 3-2, it was a beautiful night for baseball, and throw in the bonus fireworks.  I'm just ready for football, though.

I am watching a documentary called Paperclips on Netflix.  One teacher and a group of kids CAN make a difference.  Sometimes it just takes asking/answering the right question(s).

I keep starting these YA series to make sure they're safe for the kiddo and getting hooked on them. Latest = Mortal Instruments. Ugh, here we go.

I'll be starting the third book after I read Sharp Objects.  I've liked the series so far.

It's pretty good - I'm about 5 pages from finishing the first book, so of course I went onto B&N and downloaded the next 2...good thing they're only $4.99

i've been with Verizon for 7 yrs myself.   Having worked for Apple for while, I was able to learn, quickly, which carries are good and which ones aren't.  Also, my son had his phone with T-MOBILE when he lived with his mom and they really are clueless, or, at least the T-MOBILE here in ILLINOIS sucks....Went to different T-MOBILE's and also talked with T-Mobile customers and from experience, and from word of mouth, the custom service is horrible and the employees are not very knowledgable.

I think the reason they are doing the whole ad for not needing a contract is because their customer base has taken a severe hit and they are desperately trying to reel some people in.

We have AT&T, and have had no problems.  (Mom was retired phone company, so AT&T is in my blood.)

Youngfool is part of our plan, and in Flagstaff he has had signal issues, while friends of his have Verizon with no problems.   We know many people in our neck of the woods who have gone with Verizon and had signal issues here.  So, we're not changing our plans to accomodate him.

I get service with Verizon in the bowl of the Yum! Center.  Everyone else around me has no signal.
