Just a few random thoughts for today.
  1. You know someone hates you when you get hardly any rain the entire year, then just as the season premier of "Sons of Anarchy" comes on, storms start, causing you to lose signal 2-3 times during the 1 1/2 hour broadcast.  Scene involving school shooting already causing controversy on social media sites.
  2. Whether Oklahoma State is guilty or not, do you really thinking mentioning you donated $500 million to the University is going to help your cause with the NCAA Mr. T. Boone Pickens?  He also said that was a different time, with different  leadership?  Really?  Mike Gundy was listed, and he’s still the Coach.
  3. Von Miller if you don’t watch yourself, your going to be on one of those Where Are They Now Specials soon, because your NFL career will have fallen faster than you can shake a stick at.
  4. Last but not least, $100,000 to much of a fine for  Suh, when even Jimmy Johnson thinks it wasn’t dirty.  For Cris Carter to say that players read injury reports to see who had off season surgeries, just so they can target that players body parts is an absolute joke.

Hello Q-Nation,

First off – Never Forget!  9/11 is a day that will always be remembered with a heavy heart, and with good reason.  But it’s also a day that showed the strength of this great nation and how we deal with huge obstacles in the face of unfathomable  tragedy.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of both the victims and responders alike.

Living the bachelor life since Sunday, it’s kinda nice to eat what I want for a few days.  Last night I had a Hawaiian burger on the grill.  I marinated the pineapple rings in honey teriyaki soy sauce and then poured the remaining amount over the burgers.  Next, I grilled onions and pineapple along with the burger.  Lastly, I toasted the Kaiser roll for a few minutes and added some Sweet Baby Lou’s BBQ sauce, sliced ham, swiss chizzle, lettuce, onions, pineapple rings, and pickle.  The result – holla @ ya boy!

Blue Mountain State may be the dumbest show ever, yet I couldn’t stop watching.  WTF?  Hell on Wheels is getting’ good, too!  Looks like The Mandy Project is just a week away – boom!

I know, I almost feel guilty for posting anything other than photos of bald eagles, the American flag, the Twin Towers, firemen and police, etc. (I haven't posted any of that stuff - I have work to do)

Don't you dare feel guilty. Thank you for supporting the effort to keep the USA safe. (you do that by being married to Trevor)

Q'rs,
I'm a little weepy. went to a ceremony this morning.
Talk got around to so many subjects, it was a potpourri of: remember when. things like, the Aids Quilt (1985), Vietnam Veterans Wall (1982), Berlin Wall (1989) it was awesome. Remeber in your own way!  There's a soup with my name on it...

PEACE

Ditto. I rode the bus everyday in HS with someone who died in the towers on 9-11 and I really try to tone it down out of respect for her family and friends who follow me across different social media sites. A few years ago at Xmas her mother was talking about how much she tries to avoid all the "media" today, because it's such an awfully traumatic reminder even though all the thoughts, prayers and wishes come from a sincere place. Thousands and thousands and thousands of people DON'T need reminders not to forget. They can't.

you can absolutely count your hair. it's just not a decision many would do and those who chose to do so would probably get the number wrong as little ones like eyebrows and rogue eyebrows on the chin would probably sprout during the process.

you really should. I'm considering posting a picture of my balls with a mini top hat on it.
But if people feel like they need to get the hack out and make sure everyone knows they haven't forgotten, then so be it. I look forward to their posts about how hard it is to be white in America tomorrow
#14 | 409 days ago

i am aware that most people i work with know i internet all day, but this windows 7 thing has busted my ass like every time someone has come by and i wasn't working. just clicking on the outlook envelop doesn't pull up my email anymore. it just pulls up teasers of alllllll the possibilities i could have hidden my internetting with if i knew how to operate this system.

someone actually asked me if he could interrupt my pinning for a minute.

You have been mad pinning this week.  I meant to tell you YAY!    I have windows 7 and there is a little box in the lower right corner, if I click it, it makes everything disappear and brings me back to the desktop.  Where if your computer runs faster than mine, which I bet everyone on this sites does, sigh, you can click away and open up some other stuff.    Holy run on sentence........

Rob is home AGAIN today and fell asleep watching Jurassic Park #??
Oh, he did put recess lighting in the kitchen today, so that is nice.  I see what a bad deep cleaning everything needs.  Never clean enough.

Must get coffee beans and water at the store.  They were the only 2 items on my grocery list Sunday a.m.  I spent  $200 at Costco and Publix and came home without either.

this is why we're sisters you know.

laurel: my computer is slower than christmas. people don't even wait for their favors to get completed when they're dealing with me. they're like "nevermind, i'll do it myself" and they go teach themselves how to do it and come back to show the printed copy of it to me and then i congratulate them and they leave, and then the document opens.

also! i found my soulmate and her sister on pinterest. i have basically repinned their entire existence.

One person who should feel guilty is Bobby Valentine!  Really?  Your comparing how much members of the Mets did after 9/11 compared to the Yankees?angry  Bobby Valentine should be slapped by every member of families that lost loved ones, as well as those who were part of the 1st responders.  What's next Bobby, are you going to compare what firefighters did before the police?

Just because I don't announce that I remember, doesn't mean I don't remember.  That's kind of a personal thing for me, and I don't feel like I need to announce it or make some huge display to commemorate what happened.

That's probably the best picture I've ever seen of her. She's always cute, but she looks adorable here.

Exactly. It's not that I have forgotten or I don't wish to send my condolences to those who lost people that day, or to honor those lost their lives or the heroes who rushed to save people. It just seems to be all anyone's posting today, which is fine and I think it's great, but it makes me almost afraid to look insensitive by posting anything that isn't remotely about the anniversary of those tragic events. :/

I've been mostly quiet about it today.  For me, talk is cheap.   I'd rather just do something to honor the sacrifices made without desire for recognition or even need for a "thank you" in return.
