Friday&Saturday for me was 2 days of pain, thanks to Air Force's expected loss to Boise State plus Nebraska's 2nd half meltdown against UCLA.  Some solace in Denver's victory Sunday.

Weekend was eventful.  Double header softball game on Friday (won 23-1 & 15-1....zzzzzzzzz)  followed by drinks and way too many shots frown.  I think I was still a little drunk on Sunday morning.

Saturday, got a CT SCAN and then a nice 1 hour massage. Watched the ND-PURDUE game Saturday night and did nothing else.

Sunday, FINALLY met up with JSWOL and met his GF!  I didn't think there was any awkwardness with finally meeting face-to-face, but, I didn't think there would be, to begin with.  His GF is just as awesome as he is!   We watched the BEARS win a thrilla.  Good times!  Good drinks, good food, good company! yes

BLACKHAWKS Pre-season starts tomorrow night vs Deeee-twa!   The NHL is back, baby!

Feliz día independencia!

I WAS sloppy seconds...but the site crashed on me....ARGH!

Morning Q'ers!  Rams WON (the second half).....they played like crap in the first half, but made a valiant comeback effort.

So, I'm doing a fantasy football league.....and scored my ALL TIME HIGH of 170 points yesterday.....Did I win?  Well...I MIGHT LOSE!  The guy I'm going against, our own Joe L, is only 11 points behind me and has Green going tonight for him....oh well....whatcha gonna do?

Weekend was ok...had to put battery in wife's car, and yesterday had to repair some sprinkler heads....easier said than done.  They "just screw on" to the water supply.....butttt....after removing the old one, ya think that the new one would slide right down to the water supply??? NOOOOOO.  So, with a little garden shovel, isolate the water supply only to find it clogged with dirt.  Run sprinkler to clear dirt, come back to put head on....and more dirt....What should have been a 10-15 minute job to change two heads took over an hour.  I got soaked in the process, too, cause I figured I'd attach it with the water on so that the dirt couldn't clog the water supply....nope....

Here's today's pic...enjoy

Have a GREAT Monday....and AJ Green?  Drop all of your passes!

so, if any of y'all feel so inclined, i would like help choosing the after i am sending for consideration! thanks!

Power out for a good while this morning AND my phone had like 20% juice left, so I kinda just left it alone. I was about 45 minutes away from drawing a face on a volleyball. It got weird.

The song sucks but 32 yr old, divorced, skanky, messy-hair-mom, dropping a single and READY TO MINGLE, Britney is my fave Britney so far. We're less than 10 years away from some quality Skinamax action. Kelly Rowland is about the same age... just throwing that out there. Menage-a-Cheers.

Congrats!

Just heard that at 3:16 and group of Jags fans are holding a rally at Everbank field to try and convince the team to sign Tebow. Not sure if these delusional idiots really believe that he will make the team better or if they just want to make sure that the Jags have the Number one pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Also have we just become an intolerant racist country? Idiots are outraged because she is Arab. Hey dumbasses she is Indian(dot not feather)-American!

Yeah, but she's from Syracuse so I'm not sure what this post means.

Hola Peeples,

‘Twas a pretty damn good weekend.  Went out to dinner at a Greek joint on Friday – got super fat- and ended up stopping at a local pub on the way home for a few.

Spent the day portion of Saturday biking around the Northside and stopping at a few dives to watch football, and then spent the night watching the nephews and Notre Dame defeat Purdue in what turned out to be a pretty good game.  Davaris Daniels, son of former Bear and Redskin Phillip Daniels and a Chicago product, is going to be a star.

On Sunday, we met up with Nick for the Bears game and had a great time.  We came to the conclusion that the LR needs more traffic – you know, like the “good old days?”  Despite his visible anger over the bar not serving Zima, it was good to finally meet a fellow ‘Qer and witness a great comeback win by Cardiac Cutler aka Mr. 4th Quarter aka Jay 2-0 Cutler aka Are Y’all Jelly?

Made an awesome pasta dish last night for supper – cauliflower/Alfredo sauce, sautéed shrimp, peas, broccoli, mushrooms, and mozzarella chizzle w/ a side of garlic bread.  Ya boy was muy satisfecho.

Going shopping for some new threads/shoes after work before hitting the gym…and then it’s time for a little thing I like to call MNF and Hamburger Helper.  Boom!

thanks! i like the rocking chair one too. i look so much like my momma in it. i sent i think the before/after split one and the one of my twirling the dress. i am really digging the one where it looks like i'm about to put the piano into therapy.

OH. and today at lunch, i was walking up the walk and almost stepped on this.

at first i was trying so careful to be sneaky about grabbing my phone to snap a shot and realized quickly that i didn't matter one bit to them. it reminded me of chandler and monica.

Haaaaaaiiiiiii!!

Congrats Woody and Alicia!

Summer ended yesterday.  I'm gonna be around more, maybe.  I have a "Baker's Cyst" behind my left knee.  Ultrasound in a couple of weeks, then I find out what the treatment will be, if I can work at the current jobs, if I need surgery, etc etc.

Daughter has to quit her job at Boston Pizza.  She worked five days in one week bussing tables and re-injured her collar bone.  Dr says she cannot do that any longer.  She'll give notice today.  She started at the Suntan place last week.  Now I have to find something else to do because she took over the job I got so I could work the nights she was working.  *sigh*

Hope everyone is well.

Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

Congrats, Woody!!

Ash, DVR is set for Sleepy Hollow, as I will be, you know...asleep.   Just gotta make sure I'm not trying to watch it tomorrow during Face Off/ Heroes of Cosplay.

Spent this weekend tortur....er,...encouraging Little Miss Oddfool to do some catch-up homework.   Since we've moved, I've kept her at the same school as she only has 2 years left, and she is so entwined with music and her friends.  But she has to maintain her grades and not miss any assignments.  (A thorn in her side last year.)    Well, grades came out, and I've been monitoring her assignments.    2 grades we knew about, and one blindsided us (parents) as that teacher was not yet set up on the online monitoring site.

As we could not see that class, my wife reasoned that we could let her stay and try to make up her assignments.  (Very uncharacteristic of my wife...usually it's the other way around.)   We met with that teacher last Thursday, and found out that after we told our daughter of this plan, she had hugged the teacher thanking him for not having his assignments posted where we could see them.  (He has them posted in the classroom where the kids can see them, so she knew exactly the grade she was getting.

Well, I think we have her back on track in catching up...we'll see.  She has 5 more weeks until the next progress reports.

Yesterday, I helped her get caught up on finishing a notebook assignment in the anatomy class.   One thing that was holding her up was an assignment where the class dissected a pickle and diagrammed it.    She strongly hates the smell of pickles.  I'm not sure how she did in class, but she hadn't done the paperwork on it.   So, yesterday, while she was in our bedroom, I purchased a jar of pickles, and sat on our balcony with the glass door closed.  I went ahead and did an autopsy on a pickle.   I showed her the stages through the window, and took photos with my camera and transferred to the computer so she could see close-ups.   That helped her finish those pages, and the binder assignment.   Whew.

I need to contact the teacher.    If he plans any more dissections (let me see, which ones were there...frog, fetal pig, cat)  my wife will not let me help my daughter the same way if it is cats.    (Nor any other animal either.  I think that would go against the HOA rules or something.)

Last nights Breaking Bad has left me emotionally unstable. I never thought a television show could have this kind of affect on me. It's like a soap opera for tough guys. Only 2 more episodes to go, but the finale will be a movie length feature.

I'm writing my armchair report, but am having trouble wording it right.

The Cardinals would be better off making Patrick Peterson their starting quarterback.
As soon as he gets an interception, he'll be the first player in over 50 years to complete a pass, catch, and interception in the same season.

Oh, nothing much. A mass shooting across the base. Spent 9 hours on lockdown. When allowed to leave, had to come out with our hands up. Just got home. No clue if we're supposed to report to work tomorrow. Nothing much at all.
