So I went to the Kings opener. indecision

This happened.

and then this
Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 8.22.04 AM

Then ......"Kings" fans mocked Quick the next time he had the puck. I wasn't a fan of that; however, Quick being Quick then waved to the crowd.....a la Carey Price. I dug that.

Anywhoo......they lost to the GREAT team, the Rangers. REally, how great is that team? Tremendously GREAT......that's how great!

Umm... someone lost a bet, apparently.

I do not want to talk about sports... ever. I'll be over it in about 10 minutes, though.

Kings lost.
Braves lost.
Falcons lost.

I feel like an empty roll of toilet tissue, not even worth a ****.

The gig went well. The promoter sent an email to the booking agent, here is an excerpt...
… the lead male vocalist was very good.  The band as a whole sounded great as much as she was able to listen to.  She liked the newer music they covered.” The promoter's wife dug me, how cool was that? I want to play there next year. I mean BBQ, OMG!

... sound check and folks showing up. It was a cool time, and oh, didn't I mention this?
... like oh my gawd. Hope you all are doing great-------->yes

F the Rangers!   <<<  (I got your back Becky, even though you lost a bet).  Actually, their new head coach is the reason to hate the Rangers!  Cry-baby Vagina-eult!  Sorry, Kurt, but I cannot stand that f**ker!  He's a piece of sh**.     Yeah, I'm NOT holding back on my thoughts today!  wink  The team, on the other hand, is pretty good. yes

The Atlanta Falcons lost.. At home.. To the Jets.. Led by Geno Smith. I can't decide what's worse for the Falcons, their play calling in the Red Zone or Matty Ice's decisions. They got a gift penalty late in the 4th on 4th down that led to their go ahead score. But even on that play, why are they running and throwing to a guy who even if he makes the catch is 2 yards short of the first down mark? Then there was the goal line travesty at the end of the 1st half. I don't get it

I was glad to see the Braves lose last night. I think over the last month they cemented their status as MLB's douchiest team. And A-Rod doesn't even play for them. Well played boys. And I'm betting Brian McCann hustled into the locker room to file a noise complaint with the LAPD on the Dodgers celebration.

I think my cardiologist set a new record for shortest time spent with a patient (me) today. Hey, if that means everything's good, I'll take it.

Still waiting to find out if I'm going into work tomorrow. Understatement of the day: This is annoying.

Since the start of hockey snuck up on me, I have a question. Could someone please explain why everyone hates the Canucks WITHOUT using the phrase "Sedin sisters." Thank you.

Good riddance to the Braves.

Sup,

- 'Twas in St. Louis over the weekend.  Nice town, but way too many Cardinals fans.  Sorta bummed out the Arch and museums were all closed.  We did make it to the zoo, though.  They have a badass lion.  I named him Leroy.

- Bears.....better not lose on Thursday.

- I tripped over my GF's shoes in the dark this morning and sprained my ankle.  Not cool.  I just started running on the reg again.

- Making Chicken-a-la-Swol for dinner tonight.

I love the Rangers, primarily because I have a huge goalie crush on King Henrik. I kinda hope the new coach gets some offense out of them.

Sports: What the crap happened last night? I don't even know what's real anymore.

I had a dream I had to shave my face, and my ex husband was showing me how to do it correctly. I suppose that would normally be called a nightmare, but compared to my real nightmares that was nothing.

Hola amigos y amigas!

I am not a fan of baseball, but my daughter is so GO DODGERS!!

I just heard Julio Jones is out for the season with a foot injury...well that sucks!

I need a drink, and its only 10:30 here!!

Also - see "Green Men".
Also - think of every ridiculously obnoxious fan base ever, and roll them all into one hockey fan base.

I personally don't have anything against the Sedins, and I don't mind Luongo - but most people hate all three of those people.

Tonight the Avalanche try to remain unbeaten when they visit the Maple Leafs who are also unbeaten.  Should be an entertaining and high scoring affair.  Seriously doubt either team gets a shut out.  Rex Ryan and his defense proved last night that not only does the NBA have Hack a Shaq, but now the NFL has Mauling Tony Gonzalez in the red zone.  That should have been more than half the distance to the end zone or spotting it at the one.  Instead it should have been automatic touchdown since they basically tackled him from the start of the play till the end and did so knowing the penalty did not fit the crime.
There's a monkey on your back....

(Edited by ms_hippie_queen)
there's a lot of changes and a lot of bitching happening lately at work and sometimes it's hard to tell what's what cause i really just don't care. so when i hear my co-workers say "ooo, you should say this in staff meeting," i half-heartedly, jot it down and if i remember, i'll do it.

so i said this thing that my co-workers "jokingly" told me to say in staff that never should have actually been said, but a lot of people secretly want to say. this has further deepened the lines being made in the staff:
- those who agree with the bulls**t (who are all mad at me for being so insensitive)
- those who don't agree with the bulls**t (who think i'm a hero with massive testicles)
- me (and i'm just here for the paycheck, free birth control...and just do what i'm told)

i learned how to sleep in this weekend. that s**t is magical.

oh! and i had a dream that you filter regulars wouldn't stop flirting with each other for two seconds so i could get into the salon for my hair appointment and i missed it. so thanks a lot.

Right?!  The entire team are a bunch of cheap shot a-holes....more so than any other team and they complain about everything. Reminds me of the Miami Heat.  Their fan base is another reason to not like that team.

Here's some more reasons to move to Canada:

Maple Syrup Glazed Back Bacon (actually everything from the Sugar Shacks, especially in the spring. Deb tell 'em.)

Newfie screech-in if you're a 'mainlander' eh?
Poutine
Smoked meat
French girls
Strip clubs
Moose burgers
Vancouver (it's ridiculously gorgeous)
The beer (to many to name)
Hockey is religion
Grey Cup Week
and the legal drinking age is only 18 or 19 (depending on the ProvInce. I'm from one of the good ones.)

and everybody hates Toronto.

Another perfect sunny afternoon! Watching As vs.Tigers now.
After 2 solid weeks of super picks,(550 wins),my luck ran out last night as Red Sox,Braves and Falcons were losers, all 3 games were decided by the last man standing...I predicted Sox/Rays series would go the limit, could happen?

Has anyone noticed Baylor Bears have scored 69,70,70+73 pts. 4 straight 'laughers', one more 60 pt.outburst and they can match 2008 Oklahoma St. mark. (saw that report in local paper), Florida State 'Noles averaging 53 pts per game!
Alabama has it easy 4 now.
**Game of the Week** Will New Orleans Saints stay undefeated @New England?
I see NHL has realigned the divisions, strange to find Florida and Ottawa in the same division, but I like it.
Any favorites 4 AL MVP? Chris Davis,Miguel Cabrera or David Ortiz.

Not sure what chemicals they were on when they placed Florida and Tampa in the same division with the Canadian teams, but, what a cluster f**k!  They should of had Columbus and maybe Pittsburgh in that division or just have all 3 NY teams (Buffalo (already in), the Isle and the Rangers) in the Atlantic.

It makes no sense to have the 2 southern most teams travel to Canada as much as they are going to, being in the Atlantic.

As for the AL MVP,

M. Cabrera - .343 / 44 / 137
C. Davis - .286 / 53 /  138
D. Ortiz - .309 / 30/ 103

but, you forgot

M. Trout .323 / 27 / 97 - 110 BB & 33 SB
R. Cano .314 / 27 / 107

I think Migs wins it again, but, I read that it may come down to Trout and Migs.

One thing baseball experts couldn't understand why the Atlanta Braves were in the NL West Division from 1969-1993,somehow it worked led by Hammerin'Hank Aaron and Knuckleballer Phil Niekro, the Braves captured the 1969 division flag.

1.) I know of the F1 race of course, but F1 tickets are ridiculously expensive, and IndyCar is my first and true love.

2.) The Vancouver race hasn't been around for a decade or so now.
