Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Kings game tonight. I'd like less than 10 turnovers (babysteps).

Oh, look. The Sharks have him. indecision

Sloppy Seconds!

Morning All!  The GREAT team, the RANGERS....were...well....not so great last night.  Hertl put a HERTLING on them last nite, scoring 4 goals...and the 4th?  I have NEVER seen anything like it!  Look at teach's comment to watch the goal...un-believable!  Oh well....3 games of the season opening road trip down, 6 more to go...

Weather is more seasonal here in NJ...a little overcast and cool.  Leaves are changing on the trees.  Winter is coming.  There are a LOT of acorns on the ground.

Here's today's pic...enjoy (this one's for the Star Trek fans especially)...

Hawks and Blues tonight.  Bears and Giants tomorrow, which means that Sunday is going to suck for watching Football. I hope our local FOX & CBS stations have good games on.

Sunday = me stuck watching the Packers

Shoot me.

Howdy Folks,

- I've found that listening to trance music is awesome while analyzing data and really helps me concentrate.  I've always loved trance, but only recently rediscovered said love.  Cue the jokes....I already heard them from friends.  What can I say - I love me some ecstasy music.

- Grilled bacon wrapped stuffed (w/ cheese and spinach) chicken boobs for dinner last night.  Sides were mashed cauliflower and my world famous homemade Hawaiian garlic bread.  I'm cooking solo tonight which means I'll probably walk to my favorite gyro spot and pick up a sixer on the way back.

****sidenote - I spelled Hawaiian right for the first time ever IIRC.  Boom - that just happened!

- Hawks/Blues tonight, hence the reason I won't be cooking.  I already miss Detoilet as our rival.

- What's the biggest pencil in the world?

PACKERS - RAVENS   -  could be a zzzzzzzzz'er

Trance music is ok.......For me, I have to be in the mood for it.

Have you ever been to Dengeo's (Main and McCormick)?  They have theee best Gyro's I have ever tasted.  In fact, all of their food is really good.....Cheesy Sausage, Cheesy Beef, Ribs, Chicken......mmmmmmmm!

Biggest Pencil = Pennsylvania, but of course! wink

Volunteered at the food bank today, for the second time since furloughed. I say that not to brag, or to yammer the usual cliches about giving back, but to point that: a.) I am bad at manual labor, and b.) I really have no practical knowledge about anything.

Watched League of Denial last year. It's nothing new per se, but seeing all the evidence all at the same time is chilling.

Still waiting to see if I'm going in to work any time soon. Time to play the waiting game...

*pause*

Waiting game sucks. Let's play Hungry Hungry Hippos.

League of Denial, yeesh. It's a really depressing tip-of-the-iceberg imo.

It's, and I quote, "...the NFL's day of reckoning that just keeps getting pushed further and further away."

The best analogy I can think of is DNA analysis. 20 years ago (OJ trial) it was relatively unknown to the public and NOT accepted across the board scientifically. Now it's pretty much ubiquitous. Head trauma in sports and CTE, dementia, etc. will be completely accepted by, say, 2035. (Maybe, hopefully sooner?) The NFL is already pretty much just for the "Gladiator Class" of society as it is right now. (How often do you here players talk about IT being their only "way out?" It's not a unique story or path anymore, it's the norm.) 25 years from now, who knows where this goes?

Go Avalanche! First 3-0 start to a season in team history which I found hard to believe. But it's early.
Speaking of early, I hate east coast games. I normally don't get out of the office until after 6 so I don't get to see much of those games. Of course last night, I realized my satellite is a little off and the 3 channels I couldn't get to come in were Altitude (Avalanche channel), NHL Network and MLB network. Better yet, they were all working this morning.

Go Red Sox

If I hear another Hertl-Turtle reference I'm gonna smack a bitch

Go Pirates tonight

I have hockey at 10:30 tonight.. ugh

I didn't watch League of Denial. Gonna have to find it somewhere

My head hurts

I like that theory. It beats my cynical theory that no one will ever care. Of course, I haven't stopped watching football, so who am I to judge?

had the f**king cops called on us again last night. almost made it 2 years without a peep from them. this guy must have been new. he couldn't get it through his stupid cop head that my dogs are barking at the strange, fat man all dressed in black and shiny metal beating on my door at 12:30am. when he asked how i make them stop, i said a) this is not normal, or i wouldn't keep them and b) i get rid of the stranger on my doorstep. if we get a citation in the mail, i'm getting a restraining order against those f**kheads next door. what i hate most is i'm not mad-hearted anymore and i just don't feel up for this battle this time.

so i'm thinking about taking smoking back up, so i can get through this without feeling like a privileged, white, straight-edged, 30-something woman fighting to keep "barking dogs" off her pristine record.

also. i just thought of something last night - is anyone feeding the zoo animals while they're closed down??

lastly, chick-boner alert. stephen king just released his sequel to the shining. that's right. danny has to have been going by "dan" for like 40 years by now. and this isn't possibly a quick effort, desperation thing by king. i just finished full dark, no stars and the dude isn't slowing down on the good stuff. i'm tingly about it.

No don't start smoking!  I need you to walk me through the rest of my quit smoking saga going on.  Day 1.
Pretty much like **** everyone right now.  I have on the patch.

It's better if I stay away for awhile.
