Q'rs!
So, I went to the Dr.'s to get a check on my foot (the one I had surgery on) cause I noticed a purplish line between my toes (sorry Ash) anyway, it's just bruised (sigh of relief), but my doc thinks he is funny and when he first looks at the xray he's all: dramatic intake of breath and shaking his head and says oops" and then he smiled and says kidding. I was not amused in the least...Joshua will be 11 tomorrow (ohemmgee) we are going to Amazing Jakes (a little bit more mature chucky cheeses) geared to tweens and such (FUNFUNFUN) and then next weekend it's camping (again) blech...on the bright side it's the last camping trip this year, and Jack will finish his astronmers badge. I'm down to 2 papers and 6 books (woohoo)

work is over for the week.  have to run Mac to the vet.  a cyst/fatty deposit on his shoulder that we were gonna have removed next month burst from him scraping it on a tree branch. he wasn't bothered by it but Cathy is all freaked out so he goes to see the doc and have that taken care of.   tomorrow night is a neighborhood trick or treat.  Molly and Stella will be here most of the day. though she won't be out there mooching candy, Stella will be decked out as a dalmation puppy.  fat little cheeks and all. Molly is going to be a  bumble  bee.   papa pedro will be inspecting  (read that as stealing all the good stuff cool)  her candy collection.  that is all.  over and out.

I was drawn into a religious debate because I agreed with someone about homeschooling looking appealing lately. I hate facebook with the fire of a thousand suns.

I'm really excited about some stuff going on...it's boring on the front end of things but it's going to make my job easier.

I'm in another one of those fun phases where nobody and nothing will allow me to sleep, and it's been going on since Monday night. Between the weather, my daughter thrashing and kicking the walls in her sleep, my daughter getting up in the morning and making all sorts of noise, my dogs barking at everything and nothing, my husband snoring, my back spasms, and everything else..you name it. I may have had about 6 hours of sleep over the past 4 days. So forgive me if I start saying some silly stuff.

Speaking of "nobody and nothing", there's a Chevy commercial that grates on my nerves...it says something like "Second to none..." and the dude at the end says "and by none, I mean Dodge and Ford". Uhm - doesn't that negate the "second to none" claim? Once you substitute "none" with someone or something in a sentence, you're saying you're second to them. Dummies.

Who want to line up at quarterback this week and hand off to Adrian Peterson?

Hola amigos y amigas,

I am not looking forward to today. I have to drive down to where I grew up to attend a Rosary/Viewing/wake (idk what its called) for my Uncle that passed away on Monday. I don't really like these things, and to make matters worse I have to go by myself. Ugh! I may have to drink lots when I get home!

I really have nothing else right now...so hope everyone has a wonderfully amazing day!!

Happy Friday Folks,

- Been a CRAZY week at work.  So crazy I didn't even have time to trash talk KTeach (avi coming next week).  Went to Kansas City on Monday to deal with a mess that certainly could have been avoided.  Got home at 2am Tuesday morning....get 4 hours of shuteye...and then go into the office to find out I'm headed to Dallas.  That was cool - I got to see a buddy.  Get home Wednesday night around 11....go home and get a decent nights sleep....and find out I'm headed to Milwaukee....that was cool....driving distance.  I just got back to the office a few hours ago.....and find out lunch was catered by Portillo's AND I get Monday off.  Boom!  That just happened.

Gonna chill like a freezer pop all weekend.  HAve a good one, peeps.

- Over and out.

Well, love is a four letter word.

Jess, I've been thinking about that Chevy commercial also.  And Chevy is my least favorite.

Everyone enjoy your weekend.

today i'm 6 months alcohol free and 3 months cigarette free!

f**k that is some honest time. no lying, no cheating. no wondering if i can make it home without being pulled over. no hangovers. no apologies. no hard mornings. no more

but also, no drunk polls, no sweating my ass off on a dance floor, no kissing strangers (god i miss kissing strangers), no drinking and smoking, no taco bell, no incriminating photos.

it's not a daily struggle, but it's close. having to relearn "fun" at 30 isn't easy. i'm figuring it out though :)

that's nothing compared to my awesome nephew though! he's 48 months clean as a whistle! and cute. as. f**k.

It's Friday, bitches!

I found out that Wicked is going to be in Nashville for my birthday.  I'm hoping to go see the Preds play on that Friday night and then catch the matinee of Wicked the next day.  For the love of all that is good in the world, that would be the perfect way to spend the weekend after my birthday.

Okay, fair warning, this is going to be a rant.

Yesterday I was told that my son's grandfather on his dad's side had passed away.  My ex returned my son's belongings from his house to my house when my son was 12 (8 years ago) with a note that he and his g/f did not have space or time in their lives for him.  They couldn't even tell him to his face, just left a note.  My son has seen his father perhaps 4 times since then, even though it is rumored he lives somewhere near here.  His aunts and cousins who used to live here have all moved, but my son has the same cell number, and we have the same phone number, and have for 6 and 15 years respectively.

Here's the worst part.  His grandad passed away FIVE F***ING MONTHS AGO!  Some of the family is on FB and are "friends" yet not one of them thought it was necessary, or even a courtesy, to let me know so I could tell him.  I heard a rumor yesterday and asked one of these "friends" and it was confirmed with all kinds of excuses about how stressful it was for everyone and how busy they were.  So, I had to tell him tonight.  He has felt hated by his father for the past 8 years, and now he feels completely unloved by the rest of the family.  I hate these people and I always said I would NOT be one of those parents who bad mouthed the other parent, and I never have.  Tonight, however, I want to yell it from the rooftop.  How in the hell do you FORGET he exists?  How do you simply cut him out of your lives?  My son has made the first moves, calling his father's family for years.  When his grandma passed away I made sure he travelled to Vancouver for her funeral.  When his aunt passed away, he wasn't able to travel, but he called and spoke to his other aunts, and his grandparents.

I'm so angry right now.  He's simply hurt.

Sorry for the rant last night.  I've had an opportunity to talk to one of my son's cousins earlier today, and found out that she was also left out.  She is the daughter of the other son in the family, and sadly, her dad has not had contact with her in two years.  I'm not sure what is going on in this family, but she and my son are going to have lunch soon, and do some grieving together.  She found out a little sooner than he did, but had no idea that he didn't know, and I believe she might have been a little upset with me because she thought we knew.  In any case, lesson to take from all of this?  COMMUNICATION!!

I'm going horseback riding for the afternoon, now that the Coyotes are ahead of the Oilers 3-1.

For all that say everything is bigger in Texas, the memo must not have gotten sent to Jayson Carter.  Unless you are saying the size of his heart and love for football.
