First!

Happy Victory Tuesday!

-I don’t wish injury upon anyone, but the amount of success Green Bay has had at the most important position in sports, they deserve a hiccup.  Great to see Da Bears come outta the great white north with a W, but we better fix the run D….and fast.   Oh, and I won a bet w/ my GB Packers fan GF.  She has to cook the dinner of my choice.  Any suggestions?  I’m leaning towards beef stroganoff.

-This article blew my mind.  So you’re telling me Star Wars may be real?  Boom!

-Looks like Super Troopers 2 just got the green light.  Hells yeah!

-What’s for lunch?  I need suggestions on a $7 budget because I forgot my $$$ clip at home.

Hmmmm...I don't think any team deserves any ill will due to success. I can't stand the 49ers, general 9ers fan base (they hate us too, it's okay), and wouldn't be heartbroken if they faltered, but I would never say they "deserve" it. But that's just me.

Twitter was friggin amazing yesterday. I haven't laughed that hard about something posted online in a long time. I need to do better focusing on work today.

Have you ever been having a dream about someone you really miss and haven't seen in years and you just want to hang out with them, and although you keep waking up, you're able to control your dreams and piece them together so that they're there? And then you have to get up? *sigh*

Don't you just love it when music and fashion stand the test of time so well? Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha. Also eff the T-dot.

I should start a video version of the thing Nick does with artists & songs. I don't know if it should be a poll or an actual 9,500 word blog? My initial list would include (obviously!!!!): Color me Badd "I wanna sex u up," Snow "Informer," Extreme's "More than Words" <--- that one may need a two-parter, "Girlfriend" by Nsync ft Nelly and that doesn't even include anything from the 80's! The 80's would take WAAAAAAAY too much of my time. They wouldn't be articles or blogs so much as my takes would become novellas.

i had one the other night about zombies that i kept coming back to! it was terrifying. the people with the dinosaur cell phones had the power and could beacon towards other low tech phone carriers to build stronger units.

last night, i was trying to relax in a bubble bath and that was the moment the boy decided to start in on round 113 of why nfl sucks now with defense the way it is and the way it's getting and i'm sitting there stewing and trying so hard to block it out, but he decides to stand over the tub and get louder and louder about it, all the while, sam the dog is lapping up my bath water and memo is getting nervous from all the loud noises. then, to make a point, jon swatted my shoulder and tweeted like a ref whistle and i went ballistic. bubbles and water went everywhere. and now there's a new house rule that we aren't allowed to yell about football on days where texans aren't playing anymore. and no swatting and tweeting at an active bather either.

ladies, there's videos of a hunky college baseball player twerking in his sliding pants circulating.

On the plus side, I was at a beer tasting last night, and finished tied for first in the contest (it was a blind tasting where you tried to guess which beer was which). I lost the grand prize is a taste-off, but I never expected to be almost 100 other people, so cool. The only bad thing is I gorged on free food, and that the beer made my stomach feel no bueno.

So, the Rodgers injury make last night's game almost superfluous. If Rodgers is out for the season, the season is over, plain and simple. Even if it's only the three weeks being reported now, that might be enough for the season to be over depending on how it plays out. Whatever. The one plus of not caring as much is that I'm not despairing about it.

I see the dudebro Chicago fans are reacting to it the way I expected. Saying a team is due for issues means you were rooting for the injury, by the way.

The Richie Incognito thing is despicable*, and he is despicable, but the one thing I can't get out of my head is "Homer? Who is Homer? My name is Guy Incognito." I fail at furrow-browing.

* An as aside, the lack of people calling Martin the "p" word is a pleasant surprise, even if that's probably because of the voicemail leaking. The exception seems to be unnamed personnel men complaining to SI, but giving one of their own asked a player if his mother was a prostitute once, I'm not surprised.

Strongly considered posting a link to Facebook about a study linking white gun ownership with racism to troll some of my friends, but ultimately decided against it.  I'm obviously down and angry, but at least I'm not making stupid choices yet.

Its super depressing driving home at 5 in the dark, pouring rain.  I hate fall/winter. I really need to move out of the midwest.

Realized that since Spring, my favorite basketball player tore his achilles, my favorite baseball player got a season ending suspension in a witch hunt, and now Rodgers went down. Red Wings fans should be happy I no longer follow hockey.

Because it's election day, you're getting some politics from me today. PQ away.

Congrats to Illinois. The legislature passed marriage equality today. 15 states down, 35 to go.

Virginia is mercifully about to kick Ken Cuccinelli to the curb in the governor's race. Now, Terry McAufflie is better in the same way gonorrhea is better than syphilis, but the Cooch is for all intents and purposes a theocratic fascist, so we'll take it. The GOP nom for LtGov is actually worse, and is fascinating in that he's a religious nutcase who is also bad at grifting. That's the rare combination.

The one negative tonight: the fawning from the Beltway and cable news media over Chris Christie. Pass.

Funny how forgetful and hypocritical some Packer fans are……not necessarily you, but, there are a ton out there that I have been reading on Sports sites.

First and foremost, I never wish an injury on anyone.  With that being said, there were and are a majority of Packer fans that talk trash and disrespect the Bears, their fans and Cutler.  I know, I know, this trash talking is part of the rivalry and has been going on for many, many decades………Let's go back to 3 years ago when Cutler got hurt in the playoff game, all of the Packer fans were calling him a Pu**y and how he is too fragile and how he's not tough and is afraid to play.  Every time the Bears play the Packers, all of the Packer fans trash talk on how the Bears can't hold their jock and how all Bears fans are cry babies and whine too much.

So, now that Chicago has won in Lambeau and YOUR QB got hurt, I guess it's not alright for anyone to give that type of trash talking back?!?!?!  Again, I'm not one of those idiots to have commented in that manner, but, we all know that there are people out there, for all Sports teams, that do.

So, really, the "dudebro" Chicago fans are really just mocking and imitating what the "dudebro" Packer fans have been doing for the past, at the very least, 3 yrs.

After a mini-internal debate on whether to respond...

I knew exactly one Packers fan at the time, Mike, and I'm pretty sure he didn't think that. Plus, if I remember, ragging on Cutler was pretty wide spread, including people at ESPN (which I never agreed with and think it's part of that "macho" culture I despise).

I don't participate in trash talk. I think it's stupid and given my stature and athleticism, I would look and sound ridiculous. Don't pay attention to it.

So, with Rodgers's injury, all I've got on Chicago's reaction is you two. I wasn't surprised because you two still act like you're back at the frat house despite being apparently 32 and 44 respectively.

Also, your defense is mostly "two wrongs make a right," which is just dumb.

The only things that are fantastic about fall/winter are:
- Change of colors
- Hoodies (but honestly, in the PNW that's kinda all year round.)
- Sports
- Holidays

Leaves have bugs and creepy crawlies in them.
Rain is cold and nasty
Snow SUCKS
Air is cold and nasty
Grey skies SUCK
People are depressed a-holes
Getting dark early SUCKS

Obviously aside from actually being able to go to games here, I enjoyed fall/winter in Florida SO much  more than here. I don't blame baby mod.

Frat house?  Good one!  Funny how you LABEL people that you don't even know……or maybe it's the jealousy that always raise it's ugly head with your comments and negative nature?

If you READ anything I wrote, you will see where I CLEARLY stated that I am not into commenting in that fashion.

Clearly, you don't read what people write and only comprehend what you want…….I expected nothing less than the response you gave…..typical……thanks for proving what we already knew!

That got blown way out of proportion.... and Jay Swole started it.

Cutler was a p**** and Packers fans have become quite whiny to have such a rich history. (ooh, i wonder if that's a qb thing)

You're both right and this has been quite enjoyable. :)

My point exactly…….fans of both teams, that have taken the trash talking to the lowest level possible, are the idiots.  Which is the main reason why I don't talk about the disrespectful comments that I read on other sites, from all Sports and their fans, on here because everyone has those d-bag type of fans that go to a whole new douchery level.  It would be hypocritical to talk about what some teams fans stated because I have also seen fans of my teams say the same crap.

JSWOL is such the instigator and enabler, isn't he?  cool

And, Cutler is not a P!  Stop saying that!  I'm telling my mommy on you! crying  Steven Jackson, on the other hand…..you may have a point, there!  cheeky

Well, rivalries tend to be this dramatic, so this makes sense. Yes, Jay swole is a butt munch and I love love the way he trolls. I have no real attachment to Jackson, but I'm thinking even old and cripply he can beat punk a** Cutler into the ground. :| lol

Cutler is a lot stronger than most people give him credit for……but, hey……ya'll are entitled to your opinion of him.

As for my take on him...  Is he a Puss?  No……..Does he come off as an arrogant piece of crap that you would like to punch in the throat from time to time? Definitely!
