Afternoon Q'ers.....did you know that the KINGS are a GREAT Team?  I've lost the bet with our one and only teach, because her Kings beat my Rangers 1-0 last night on a goal that deflected off a skate of one of the Rangers players (I forget which, but King Henrik was perplexed)....this is the 4th bet I've had with teach, and we're at an even .500.  It was a good game....Quick?  Who needs him.  Scrivens made some un-freaking-believable saves...and the Rangers DID score a goal, but it didn't count because it was kicked in...anyway, I have to have a Kings player as my avatar until the end of the week.  I've uploaded a newer pic to my profile, but can't seem to make it the profile pic.  Maybe in a day or so....I fixed it.....being a former goaltender, I HAD to go with a goalie pic.

Beautiful weather here in NJ today...upper 50's, sun is out.  Raked up some leaves yesterday while listening to the Eagles almost blow it to the "Skins.  Merrill Reese (Eagles play by play guy) is such a homer it isn't even funny...Foles had a first down late that the "Skins challenged...Reese was SO SURE that he had the first down, all throughout the review was talking like it was a done deal...and just then my 4G conked out, and when it came back in the Eagles were punting...he sounded pissed....

Here's today's pic...enjoy

***Best part of this is that the Toronto Maple Leafs are paying part of his and Frattin's, (the other guy in the trade for Bernier), salary this season.

15 more weeks until Spring.   (sigh).

The Hawks got their jocks handed to them by Nashville on Saturday but returned home to crush SJ last night.

ILLINOIS got hit with major Tornado's yesterday.  It was sooo bad that they had to delay the Bears - Ravens game for 1 hour and 53 minutes……THANK GOD, because we looked like crap for the first 11 minutes of that game (before the delay).  The violent storms were more in Central and Southern Illinois and didn't make it up north, but, there was 3 inch size hail, damage due to the 50 mph winds and flooding due to all of the rain that fell in a 2 hour time span.  There were small towns that were completely destroyed…..as in, the town was completely leveled and there is nothing left standing in that town.

A view from the Bears game

It was only a matter of time before my Avs came back to Earth. It was a fun run for 5 weeks.

This Torts gif ended my weekend on a high note

Go Broncos. I was happy with the win last night, but they should have ran KC out of the building. The next two weeks should be super football.

I don't have much else. It's still early and I'm already over this day

Racing is done until February. I feel empty.

Thoughts and prayers to those in Illinois and elsewhere. My state and area has been extremely lucky all year in avoiding bad Midwest storms. I feel like we're going to get crazy karma payback this winter.

I have three days off this week and no clue what to do with them. Day drinking on Monday seems a bit much, but we'll see if I can come up with something better.

Haaaaaaaaaay,

-Bachelor party was a success, though I feel like death right about now.  I won $140 on roulette, cashed out in all $1s, and proceeded to make it rain in the casino dance club.  Good times!  The white knuckle drive home from Michigan didn’t help the recovery, though.  What crazy weather.  Thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the tornados.

-Da Bulls restored order in the East for at least a night.  Derrick looked a lot like Derrick and we just humiliated the Pacers.  LOL @ the Pacers.  Playing the Bulls is their Super Bowl.

-The Hawks waxed the Sharks (lol @ ML31) one night after getting embarrassed in Nashville.  And we got Steegs back.  Boom!

-Da Bears are back in 1st place after an OT thriller vs the Baltimore Flaccos.  I’m happy, but we won’t a thing in the playoffs (if we make it) if we can’t stop the run.

-Dinner last night was meatloaf, mashers, and corn dog nuggets.  Tonight?  Cheeseburger soup (w/ bacon) and my WORLD Famous GB (garlic bread).

-I’m out like Prince Fielder trying to steal home.

I must admit their are 2 reasons why I am smiling in regards to Bronco victory last night.  1st of all because Denver beat their division rivals, and second because now that their are no unbeaten left in the league the 72 Dolphins can have their yearly celebration and then not been seen or heard for at least 365 days, (last undefeated team loses next year.)  With all the rule changes in the last 25 years of the NFL, I must say I don't think this record will ever be broke, and that's sad to me.

I was the first guy to flip the eff out re: all these marginal QB hits... but now that MY GUY is one of the handful of QBs in the league that ALWAYS get those calls? Totally unapologetic, lol. Hell fine that dude on the 9ers Goodie! Suspend him for looking at Brees the wrong way! (If that call would have went the other way, I would have lost my poop.)

Why the eff didn't KC go for it on Denver's side of the field down TWO TDs with 11+ minutes left? WTF!? Then as Stoney & my guy Irv from Philly pointed out ---> Andy. Reid. Oh yeah.

Sade is, and will always be, a potential future Mrs. Nyce.

I'm glad I got a ruling from the guy with the QB in every commercial that has also had 4 neck surgeries. HA!

BTW, if that was your boy Manning in that gif, Goodell would have had that Niner 'renditioned' and detained in Guantanamo for 18 months.

Thor in imax was friggin awesome.

I was doing so well - avoiding Monster - and then I discovered Red. Ugh.

The game yesterday was amazing. My husband ran into Mike Tice in the bathroom right before...that was kinda funny. Percy showed up. Kearse may have a concussion :( boo.

Looks like my phone should be here soon. YAY!

you're well aware of Manning's advice to himself before every snap
"hurry hurry"

That's why he does his little 6 point semi circle shuffle if things get hairy and lightly tosses a pass into the turf.
Ain't nobody got time to get their head taken off in Denver

it must work because I hear every QB in the league use that "hurry, hurry" audible….I know Cutler and McCown use it all the time, when in Shotgun formation.

i'm pretty sure houston just flew past philadelphia for s***tiest fans in america. i'd be "under contract" too if i had to play for us.

on a more positive note, the campaign for call of duty ghosts makes me do this the whole time while i play

there's so much detail! the story is hallmark card-predictable but the stuff that happens and the interaction with the lands....whoa. (there's wild animals in it!! and not like bad-guy dogs or anything. wild. f**king. animals. just there.) the online gamers have seriously past me by. i can't stay alive long enough to move anymore and i rarely see the dude who kills me.  so i set up private games with bots and i am really good against them and they don't cheat and tell me they want to pee in my butt.

whoa. i am running high on add today. i thought i posted this at like 9am but here it is. that poor cat.

That is false in two ways. The Brazilian Grand Prix is next week, so racing is not completely done, and the 24 Hours of Daytona starts it in January.

Thinking of my Dad today because it would've been his birthday.  His birthday ushers in the holiday season, which pretty much sucks b/c he's not here.  He was the one sane one of us all.

In other, much happier (maybe) news:  It has been announced that Teddy Bridgewater will NOT participate in senior day festivities this Saturday.  I'm hoping that means he has a senior year ahead of him.  Kid needs to learn how to slide without giving mama a heart attack.

I've done a horrible job of following F1 this year. And my bad on the 24 Hours. Its a great kick off event.
