2014 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot
As I do every year, it's time for the giant Hall of Fame poll. Who would you vote for the Baseball Hall of Fame, if you had a vote for this year's ballot? 75% is required for induction. There are 36 players on the ballot this year. For space reasons, Jacque Jones, Todd Jones, JT Snow, and Mike Timlin are not included. Please vote for no more than 10 per the Hall of Fame balloting rules.

It wouldn't be QUITE as silly if the BBWAA did their job and voted in some of these guys when they should have. I don't really have a problem with the 10 person limit as much as I have a problem with high-and-mighty writers snubbing deserving players for no valid reason. If they voted in the guys who deserved it in previous years, we'd have less than 10 worthy candidates this year.

I limited myself to 10 "yes" votes, since that's how the actual ballot works. It was hard to leave off guys like Larry Walker, Curt Schilling and Jeff Kent, but they were all right on the border.

The ballot is getting more and more crowded the more quality guys the hollier-than-thou writers keepout of the Hall.  I've never had a ballot with EIGHT yeses before.    Most years I'm lucky to check off one or two.  And many years there are no deserving names.

I don't have a problem with the 10 player limit.  To be honest, with a limit that high it should NEVER come into play.  Most years a 5 player limit is more than enough.  If writers in the past were naming 10 players their standards are just way too low.  I have named 8 this time because, as has been said earlier, so many deserving players have been left off in recent years.

That Bonds and Clemens aren't already in there really messes up the ballot.  It made me cut off some guys I'd otherwise put in.

Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine definitely deserve on the first ballot.
Fred McGriff also should be included, tired of him being omitted!  I believe Jeff Reardon has off field issues.
What about Craig Biggio,Frank Thomas,Larry Walker?

Don't call me,I'll call you.

I messed up and voted for 11. I'm considering it a Freudian slip.

You should take Mussina off your ballot. Then it would match mine, which means it would be correct.
