Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

I'm not saying I'm going to all of a sudden start shopping at KMart...all I'm sayin is I actually rewound to rewatch the greatest KMart commercial in the history of the world again.

(yes, kurt Kmart sucks)

It still hasn't got above 0 degrees today, I'm buried at work with my old man hanging out in Mexico for the week, had hockey at 10:30 last night, and I didn't have enough milk for my CTC this morning

57 degrees yesterday, and now this

We may get 3-4 inches……of snow, pervs, on Sunday.

If you are betting on the NFL, I would take Chicago on MONDAY.  Not sure how well Dallas can handle the temperature at game time.
Oh, and a BLUSTERY 13 degrees with a Low of 3 degrees for my B-Day…..WTF is that?!?!  frown crying  I need to tell my dad that we should be taking our Mexico vacation in December instead of October, or as of next year, April.   Hey, then Stoney and his old man and me and my old man could hang…….wink

Anyone watch the SNL Christmas Special last night?  That NPR's "Delicious Dish" with Alec Baldwin (Pete Schweddy) skit is one of the funniest ever!   WATCH HERE

Have any of you ever had a Gordon Ramsey Omelette?

The weather you say...

It's December and I'm wearing a T-shirt and flip-flops (thongs for Kat). It's times like these when I DO NOT miss the old country one bit. Not at all.

It's pretty cloudy today and it's going down below 60 next week [frownie-face.gif] hashtag warmweatherproblems

Let me go torment all my Canadian friends and family on FaceSpace, I'll be right back.

It's effing snowing. And my shivering polar bear broke. I haz a sad.

In other news, I had a dream there was a tsunami that took out the entire town, and apparently there was a lesbian couple who had 3 pet tigers near where we lived (hell, I don't know...I rarely make friends with my neighbors.) The tsunami wiped their house out but not ours, so we adopted their tigers. Two of them were sketchy but one was lovey. Turned out it was because she was pregnant...we ended up with 5 tigers. But the women told us they only needed 3 months to get their place together and they would take them back. Whew.

Waiting to see if this winter storm pans out.  I hope I get out of work tomorrow, but I wouldn't count on it.  My boss sorta expects everyone in, even if there's 10 inches of snow covered in four inches of ice.

My brother says they're expecting ice in Dallas, which will make Kentucky look like Minnesota.  You wanna talk about shutting a city down...

Hey all.

Saw Alabama Shakes in Miami Beach last.  Fan Frickin Tastic.    Diva with a Gibson guitar.   Highly recommend seeing them, smaller the venue the better.    Got home at 4:30 a.m. and made grilled cheese sammiches.
I'm going to clean up the kitchen now and then take a nap.

I've been selected to pull the plug on life support/make medical decisions for my boss when the time comes.   Not sure how I feel about that.

Anyway,  37 days without a cigarette.  A puff or two last night but nothing serious.  Need to stay away from alcohol to ensure no backsliding.

Aww thanks! My polar bear is gone, so that REALLY bums me out, especially since it snowed and he was perfect for the snow. The tree is a new development this year - we bought a new one for the house (that one was always a temp) and decided to get some of those shatterproof ornaments and put the old one outside. Neighbors think we're crazy. My fingers from fastening the ornaments killed me for 3 days :/ The carousel spins, and the lights are hooked up to one of those music things that makes them flash in time with the songs. Personally I think we could do a lot more (and we will eventually), but apparently people in town think it's pretty neat...we get a lot of people driving through base to look. Silly.

your screen shot reminded me of my screenshot i took last week that i may never see again! my super g** paperland wallpaper with weather sensing capabilities shows snow. i took a bazillion screen shots as the rainbow faded in and out and the cute cars went about their bidniss....in snow.

here it's 74 and is supposed to be like -11 by 4pm. i'll believe it when i see it.

jess - i am so glad i got to read your post today :)

i hate that the local houston station decided to pick up the game tonight. i was fortunate enough to not get texans in oklahoma to see them lose to jacksonville the first time and was supposed to miss it again because i don't have the football channel but noooOOOooo....i have a feeling i'll be spending more divided attention on the sound of music, secretly hoping someone falls or their hair catches on fire or something. nothing bAD but perhaps, something delightfully live.

today, i sang into a microphone and wasn't hammered drunk. it was liberating and i feel like i'm still going to faint after an hour being done with it.

BITCH……..You know it!

I HATE WINTER!  The only thing about Winter that I like is that Hockey is played during that season.  I would say Football, but, technically, that's a Fall sport that ends once Winter starts (with the exception of playoffs and the SB).

Are you heading to Miami this weekend for your B-DAY celebration?

My oldest and a few nephews flaking so maybe next year, they want to go to Vegas but I informed Vegas in December isnt like they think. 50 degrees in Vegas is like 20 degrees in NY. But I will defintely get my groove on this w/e. May ask your expertise on a techincal gadget I just got- a freaking IPAD which I know nothing about

I wasn't their so I am only guessing, however I sure wish the prosecutor sometimes would get together with the Media if they don't believe they have enough to charge someone and tell them so they don't portray someone guilty/ not guilty for the better part of a month.  Maybe I am becoming cynical as I get older, but it sure seems like your guilty until proven innocent these days.  I for one never thought Winston would be charged, simply because he hasn't acted one bit concerned since this all came down that he had done anything wrong.

No way the Sound of music was gonna play in this house...and then my sisters saw that Bill (from True Blood) was in it. Now...*sigh*

Go Texans! Go Scandal!
