Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

America. I'm so proud of you. This was prob the best season of The Voice since the first one. I don't like how NBC is milking it though. February is too soon but I'm excited for Usher and Shakira to be back, so I'll take it.

So now they're saying to be prepared for postponement of the Super Bowl? That's nice for people who are attending, who have already spent their $$ on hotel/airfare/etc. I'm not talking about all the execs who can afford that ish...there are regular joes going too. This is just one more reason a SB outdoors in NJ is a stupid idea.I don't care if Bradshaw did sound like an idiot redneck (?) with his tirade...there's a bit of truth in it.

Why do I keep seeing this on my TL, FB feed, and here on the sports news thing on my homepage: "Antoine Winfield won't be coming back to the Seahawks"  - Seriously...don't tell me what's NOT happening. That's not news! It'd be news if he was. Hey guys, guess what? I'm NOT going to move to Puerto Rico!

Wow, I'm a little irritable today. I should put some happy music on.

Happy Thursday (a.k.a. almost Friday!)

Rangers, the GREAT team, lost to the Penguins last night.  Someone must have the maloik on the Rangers at Madison Square Garden...they can't seem to win there.  They did battle back from a 3-1 deficit in the last period to send into OT, though, so it's not all lost.  There was only one goal scored in the shootout, which lasted 6 rounds.

Not too much today....here's a pic that's appropriate for the season...

Christmas break is right around the corner for me as well. From about 3pm December 24th, until 7am December 26th this guy is going to be putting his feet up like a boss.

Hockey was fun last night, got the monkey off my back with a hat trick and 2 assists, but of course we lost in a shootout. Ugh

I dislike the banking industry

This weekend I'm looking to see Anchorman 2 with a group of hockey guys and the movie I've been waiting a long damn time for, Inside Llewyn Davis

I've finally been able to catch up on House of Cards. Two thumbs up, and that Kate Mara, I tell you what

Life is too short, so, appreciate what you have before it is gone.

A friend of mine and her husband, lost the life of their 3 yr old son last night….we still haven't found out what happened.  Their 1 yr old daughter came down with a bad flu or cold of some sort, 5 days ago and she is doing fine…..not sure if he acquired the virus and his immune system shut down or what?  So, make sure you tell those, that you care about, that you love them or appreciate them….just show them that you care, because none of us know when it's our time to go.  (sigh)

Since I'm crabby and this is as good a place as any to rant...

1 - Starbucks. NEWS FLASH, people...if you go to Starbucks you're likely to spend more than $4.00 on a cup of coffee if you're not just getting plain brewed. It's been like that for years. Don't go in there, order a cup, and then complain because it's expensive.

2 - Another news flash - just because I wear my new style #12 jersey to Seahawks games doesn't mean I'm a brand new fan. What, long-time fans of a team aren't allowed to buy new gear? I spend so much money on Seahawks stuff Every. Single. Year. that I should be part owner of the team by now. I don't remember the last year that went by where I didn't get something - a jersey, shirt, hat, hoodie, watch, jewelry, scarf, memorabilia...something Seahawks related. The fact that I choose to wear my new jersey to the games rather than one of the other several (of all generations) that I own does not mean I just started following the team last year when the new unis came out. Ugh off.

3 - Pagan does not always mean "devil worshipper". FFS, did some people get their alternative religion education from the movie Dragnet? I don't even believe there's a damn devil.

4 - If you're really curious about whether or not something is true about my family or just myself, ask us yourself! Don't go gossiping, trying to ask acquaintances of ours. UGH.

After I finish working tonight, I'm going to bake some snickerdoodles and candy cane cookies, put some xmas movies on, and maybe have myself some Bailey's.

Ash: Season 2 not my favorite, WTH?!  is what I was saying most of the time
and this little ditty:
To all those folks that think getting a puppy at xmas is a good idea, just don't, if you can't take care of a dog any other time, what makes you think you can now?!  Puppies are very time consuming, with the walking, feeding, training, training and some more training. I mean, geesh people, if you are barely taking care of yourself, what are you thinking taking on another living being. So, it's like this: Walking the dogs, morning constitutional, and a pretty little thing with ribs showing comes up to us and follows. (i am by my own standards kinda cold sometimes) , and the boys were like aww, look at her, playing and calling her, and i'm like nooooo, but she was so loving, and didn't growl, and was starving. We brought her home, bathed her, fed her, and I starting calling people, trying to find a home. It all ended, pretty much when Joshua said: "it's a xmas miracle". *sigh*
I just want to say, that people that abandon dogs in the street are the lowest form of living matter! Going to the vet today, she needs shots and tags and such, also i need to know what kind of dog she is. Neighbor says she looks like a Whippet. (she wouldn't stop moving for her pic, neighbor tried to help)

Christmas comes but once a year...

(Edited by AlwaysSunshine)
I have a bleeding heart, also.  I almost took in a 3rd cat recently (until I found out it really does belong to one of my neighbors).

It's hard to believe Christmas is five days away and I wore a short sleeve shirt comfortably today.  Temps will be close to 70 tomorrow, but it's supposed to be rainy much of the day.  My step-nephew is getting married tomorrow, so I hope the weather clears for a bit.

I was about to announce what a dumbass I am for posting this in "yesterday's" filter b/c I forgot where I was.  And now I am SO glad I posted in here instead of today's.  IDK why all that bulls**t is newsworthy.  People are dumbasses.  Are we not used to that by now.  It's time for everyone to put on big girl and big boy panties, kwitcher cryin' and move on.

And if you won't, then here's a song for you:

My guy is really something, he's sensitive and shy
My guy is such a bumpkin, it doesn't take much to make him cry.
If you hurt someone helpless, it's like taking away all his toys,
He's just a cry baby boy.

My guy is sentimental, he's always feeling blue
He can be so temperamental and I don't know what I should do.
If you step on a little bug he cries all over the floor,
He's just a cry baby bore.

[Chorus:]

I don't want to hurt his feelings,
But his outbursts have me really
Boo-hoo-hoo-ing all the time,
If I turn out like him, I think I'm gonna cry, baby
La, la, la, la, la, la,
He's such a cry baby,
La, la, la, la, la, la.

[Spoken:] And I'll tell you something else

My guy is such a wet noodle, he's always teary-eyed
He acts like a real cock-a-doodle, he can't even tell you why.
If you just play him a sappy song, he acts like his doggie just died,
He's just a cry baby guy.

[Spoken:] No kidding, oh dear

My guy is such a whiner, he's worse than baddie so
A cockroach seen in the diner, and the tears flow out of the blue.
And if I ask him to knock it off, he goes and cries in the can,
He's such a cry baby man.

[chorus]

I love a cry baby,
La, la, la, la, la, la.
He's such a cry baby,
