Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Happy MLK, Jr. Day!

I almost let freedom ring on this giant yelling man this morning. DO NOT yell at me! My coworkers just stopped and stared at me, ready to grab me if necessary, I think. lol. B**tard better settle his big, ugly ass down.

Be peaceful!

Ooh ooh, the end of last week's Psych. OMG, I've literally watched it 10x. Since they are kinda unemployed, they are quite possibly even sillier and it is tickling me. Shawn's impression kilt me. I know the end is approaching and it makes me sad.

Hi People,

How are you doing smiley
I want to say sorry to Jess for my Dry response this morning (my morning).
She asked me where I've been and i started thinking about it and realized that i couldn't sum it up in 140 chars of the tweet, i needed more.

1.5 years ago i met the girl that i was waiting for she was everything i wanted and i was everything she wanted it was a match a perfect one at that. We enjoyed everything whatever came we took it in a positive stride and moved forward in our relationship. This was the most beautiful thing i had ever seen in my life. When you are in proximity of such a precious thing you want to protect and keep it safe therefore getting married was the next step. This is us at a party
Me
Here in India you are not just you, you are a part of family and you must consider family before you make any changes to your life. Family dominates the life you tend choose your education, carrier, lifestyle, life partner to be so that it falls in line with your family. For me this girl was not something my family would agree about. I tried reasoning i tried convincing but they have been set in there ways not ready to concede anything. I thought of leaving my family and starting my separate life. I told her this but she didn't agree on me leaving my family. If i leave my family I'll be incomplete and she won't have me like that and my family won't accept her as my wife.
So this is where i've been between two things that i love that don't seem to come together, I've been trying to make them come closer and i've had little success so far. I don't want to loose either of them and i can't force them together. People tell me to let go But i don't want to miss this in my life. I want to give it all i have and whatever I'll be worthy of I'll get that no one can deny me that.

I don't like putting this up for display but i just felt like sharing today.

Hey, I got stuff to say. Give me a minutes or so...

Sherman went nuts crazy, Erin Andrews just thought she was freaking when some nutjob was taking pics of her through her hotel room's peep hole. surprise

Stoney, I want Jess to win a Super Bowl. You guys got yours when you beat the **** outta the Falcons. Still, this is a Super Bowl where I like both teams, so there's that.

I have been in a funk for a while now, this holiday season was no help. Started towards the end of October, had a shot at a week in Hilton Head Island that didn't pan out. Haven't done the quiche Christmas thing with my daughters for the first year in a long time. Then I drove myself nuts working on a gig with a band for a Christmas party. It went well, I have sat in with them a few times through the years, each time I have treated it like an audition. It is a well established local band that stays booked, including some great outdoor festival gigs. The money is pretty good. They have hinted around about me possibly joining, and me hinting around I'd do it. Got a call yesterday afternoon from the leader, he said the band is wanting to 'spice' the band up in 2014 and wanted to know if I would be interested in doing the spicing. So now I am unofficially in 4 bands right now. Gotta work this down to two bands, and I'm pretty sure which way I want to go with it all. The plan is to use music as my main employment when I retire, in two or three years(ish). This new band could be a real positive thing heading towards all that.

Looking like 2014 has some cool stuff heading my way, I am bound and determined to buy a new truck in the fall. Hopefully, I am at Hilton Head in March fishing my n*ts off. My ying may just get inline with my yang. Oh, and I am rescheduling the quiche thing with the kids, that will happen. Also, my favorite beer buying hole has picked some great brands for me, I'm stocking up. Next purchase, Flying Dog IPA at 7%... OMG.

Life's good. And busy.

yes

PS- with all that 'spicing', should the band change its name to The Spice Boys'? Hmmm...

Later, y'all.

sherman went hood.

i had a dream this morning that had so much clarity in it, i'm just like, whoa. i was dreaming of what mean name i could call colin kaepernick without being like, really mean and the best i could come up with was "burnt sienna." like the crayon. cause he got burnt and it's the color of his skin. then i was like, twitter is nothing but a forum that waits for famous people to say the wrong thing and not-famous people to say the right thing (i know). and then i was like if you put a timestamp on weight loss, chances are it'll make you fail because when you get to deadline, you'll either celebrate for achieving it, or shame eat cause you missed it.

so it wasn't like martin luther king stuff, but you gotta admit it was pretty whoa.

then, i checked twitter while i was making coffee and daryl hall had been listening to too much alan parsons project and had gotten all thinky and was like "“belief” is such a word.  using it, to me, means you’re going against what you know, what you think." and "maybe that’s the “grew up religious” in me, but belief is something you do to try to save yourself." i would love to g*t h**h with that guy just once.

i haven't heard from the astros yet, but the pbr branch in pueblo, colorado came knocking and shook my world up a little.

and last, i made this picture yesterday after an amusing slip of the tongue by the guys announcing broncos and pats

alley, indeed.

belief made me think of my random thought for like 4 days now since my kid tried to "sound it out".. women is spelled incorrectly OR always pronounced incorrectly. Sound it out. See? wtf

burnt sienna... heh /unsexy stage name. I wanted mine to be burnt caramel once (or maybe it was cinnamon, idk) but all the men friends disagreed. They'd come watch cause it's me and all but they didn't love the name.

reading the polar bear/conversation story in let's pretend....something made me think that I have undiagnosed generalized anxiety disorder.

All in full dress kinda like this :  but way better, and Joshua got into it and that was the pic I wanted to share (frowny face insert here) next weekend is the Pinewood derby, paint is drying as i type, can't wait for the boys to put their personal touches to them. Maybe I'll figure out the camera and get actual pics to share (shrugs)
The Hawks dude was a bit excited and I felt bad for the girl getting here face/ear screamed into. At least he didn't spit on her(?)
And while I am on that subject, why do the camera guys/girls at these games feel the need to share camera time with the nose picker guys (ewww eww eww) your mommas are so proud i bet, especially the ones where he shows his friend (gag) stopping now. Apparently, Crabtree said something "personal" during preseason or something. I don't know.

He's got a good story. The story that ESPN had on him in the summer was my favorite.

I don't know how many times I've been told via twitter or text that I should be embarrassed or ashamed of what Sherman did or how Sherman reacted, but I can't find it in myself to care. I know what he does in the community and how he plays on the field, so I have a hard time caring if he yaps a bit after a huge play that saved the Hawks from elimination. Especially the fact that I don't know what was going on out there, the talking between the two going on, etc. Whatever.

ANYWAY...I got an email from the Seahawks last night telling me I'm one of the winners of the Super Bowl ticket lottery and can buy them from the Seahawks for $800 each.  We're gonna try like hell to make this happen. We have friends in Philly who've offered to pick us up from the airport and lend us their car. OMGYOUGUYSIMIGHTBEGOINGTOTHESUPERBOWL

USC still considers him part of their family? That seems strange, with the way he bolted to the NFL after finding out the NCAA was sanctioning his football program.

I find Sherman is a great player and as arrogant as they come but great players often are in some form or fashion so im not sure why its such a shock to people. He is the kind of guy you love when he is on your team but most hate when he is on any other one.

The antic's at end of the game with throat choke etc is uncalled for and shows little class , and the interview after well not very professional , but hey its an emotional game and ya just made a big play to send your team to the Superbowl and whats next someone runs up on you with a mic in your face. In that scenario chances are ya get a emotionally charged response so i don't see why its such a big deal.  I mean its kind of expected from him , no ? (why do u think they went right after him after game instead of Wilson etc , in hope to get that shock value remark) and he supplied it !

Its kinda   now that people are talking more about this worthless blabbering then what was a great game and exciting win on track to the Superbowl !

Oh, I thought it was hilarious, and think today's Cold Blue of Hot Sport Takes are even more hilarious (save the inevitable racism). All debates about "class" in sports are useless and almost always dripped in condescension and racism.

Also, Sherman didn't have a big statistical game because they barely threw to him.

A tip of the hat to Denver to beating the Patriots, but I'm rooting for Seattle. That is mostly because of Jess (who I still assume is the only one here who does not hate me). That said, if they do win, I'm probably going to unfollow her on Twitter for a few days.

So, I spent the weekend visiting a friend in Philly. Or, more specifically, a suburb of Philly, because we were usually too drunk to go into the city. On Saturday, we went to a casino (one of many in that area) and I hit a royal flush in video poker. With that, I retire from gambling. That night we were up to 4 am playing Cards Against Humanity, which is hilarious in its inappropriateness.

I really, really cannot stand Richard Sherman and thought he was a dick last night, but man the overreaction and overt and coded racism was awful last night.  i've been laughing at everyone who had a status calling a freaking Stanford grad a thug now having statuses celebrating MLK Jr today.  Juuuust a slight disconnect there.

Anyhow, rooting for the Broncos in the Super Bowl. I hate the Seahawks.  Can't ever bring myself to root for a team that has Golden Tate, Sherman, Browner (even if he's on his way out), or Pete Carroll on it.  I'll be happy for Jess and Russell Wilson if they do win though.

I don't care how bad this Brooklyn - Knicks game is, NBA during the day is awesome.

It's crazy how much the USC family is rooting for Pete to win. CRAZY.

I want this for you and the rest of the Seahawks fans who have rooted for this team for a long time with little to show for it.

I'm not gonna lie. I cried last night. Freaking miracle.

The more they talk about Sherman over the next two weeks the better for the Seahawks who have to worry about being on road and being in Superbowl all at same time so more questions they hear about the blabber and not the real questions that get players thinking about other aspects of game i think can't hurt cause they can laugh off that stuff and smile and say well Richard being Richard !

Congrats on making the Superbowl Jess !

(and ofcourse your going to the SB , ofcourse)

Hey man I just realized something. The 2 states that legalized marijuana are in the Super Bowl. Sounds like they will be smoking super bowls to celebrate.

(disclaimer: since it's legal in those places, it's not really violating the COC by stating so on their behalf).

Some of the guys behind me were laughing, saying "gives whole new meaning to the phrase 'Super Bowl'!

Silly.

Hah! Well it's not a done deal yet...things are falling into place though. Immediate funds (or lack thereof) between now and payday might be the deciding factor. This is when I kick myself for never saving any money.

Congrats to the winning teams and fans. As always, go AFC! Jessica, I hope you make it to the game. Gofundme?? I'll help with a little $ Leigh, Rob and I both awoke with vivid dreams last night also. He woke me up out of mine... I was silent screaming... and saved me from a ghost that was trying to smother me. He then proceeded to keep me up for 10 minutes telling me all about his dream. I blame the spicy meatballs. I got a new clutch and front axel. Drives like a wet dream. Next on the list..battery and new headlight bulbs and stock housings. Then tires. I figure repairs equals 4 car payments. Done. Honda parts are cheap. Yay. Love u all..even u just got home from seeing Anchorman 2. Meh.
A winner is you!...

Gonna try! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that the Seahawks won last night.

Laurel - people have been suggesting that, but I would feel so weird. I think we'll probably be able to borrow it. I'll know no later than Wednesday for sure, which is good, because I have to pick them up by Thursday at 7pm if I do! OMG you guys, I might have SB tickets in my little hands before the end of the week! I'm gonna cry again.
