oh you!

the basketball game on friday was awesome! it was close and exciting and rambunctious and we won and it started at 8:30 so we got there in time to see the cool introductions and there were these african acrobats who performed at half time and stuff!

i haven't run since friday because my right knee has been hurting bad since march 19th. today is the first day in half a month that i've been able to cross my legs, so that's progress! maybe by wednesday, i'll be able to sit with my right leg under me which is my favorite way to sit! i just hope i don't lose my fire while i take the much needed time off.

the boy had a childhood friend drop in from taos yesterday. apparently, the whole point of his and his wife's visit was to whisk us away on a bluegrass caravan, take a detour to the home of the delta blues and hook around back. it's the closest i've ever come to running away from life! except for that one time when i was like 5 when i actually packed a little suitcase and got as far as our azalea bush where i took shelter and fell asleep and then woke up in my own bed.

*hashtag* Hoarsch (Is there a Sonic in the ATL? Why am I bombarded with those commercials?)

That "Watchathon" thing on cable last week let me catch up on 2-3 shows. Such a cool idea. And it gave me a chance to go back over True Detective again. Damn that show was SO good.

Erroll Childress reached Buffalo Billl levels of unintentional black comedy with that Mid-Atlantic/English accent in the finale. Truly magnificent.

I also ripped through Girls. I laugh at all the parts I shouldn't, but eff it. Jessa falling off the wagon after being kicked out of rehab for, umm... with the closeted girl... is the perfect mid-life crisis. Well done HBO. That story line was great including the older dude's sobering dinner with the daughter. Perfectly eff'd up.

#TeamJessa (..but not so much when she's sober. Meh. I think the only reason I'm still a Girls apologist is my crush on "off the wagon" Jessa. Damn crazy girls are great!)

As you were...

The guys in the commercials are AT LEAST as good as anything on CBS/NBC or whatever? How I Met Your Milkshake, Big Burger Theory, Two Guys in a Drive-Through. Any of which could get green lit as the follow up to those sitcom lead ins on those networks. Nobody would notice.

If you have a couch you don't want, send it to Lexington.  They may be burning a few tonight.

A couple of my friends have made announcements that they are expecting surprise little bundles of joy.  Don't they know what causes that ish? wink   And there's a Goonies reunion flick in the works.  If they eff that mess up, I will hit them so hard that when they wake up, their clothes will be out of style.

So my baseball league started yesterday and I of course volunteered my services behind the plate for the first time in a couple years. Which as the hours passed after the game turned out to be an awful decision. What was worse was the fact I was impressive as s*it and it was hinted that I do it full time again. Throw in the fact I had a grand slam and 5 total RBI for the day, someone had a day.. Makin the ladies fan their vaginas (yep repeat gif, but I love it)

But today I feel like I was hit by a bus and my arm may be hanging by a thread. I need an ice bath

I hope Kentucky wins tonight

Silicon Valley was great, TJ Miller is GD hilarious.
I haven't watched GOT yet, will do that tonight.

I may have to re-visit Girls from what I'm hearing because I'm in the group that just doesn't care for it. To me it's the 2 Broke Girls of HBO but without Kat Denning's chest. I watched most of the first season, but I'm not a big Lena Dunham fan. Her pretentiousness and awfulness as a person comes through in her writing and I don't find it very appealing. Did you watch the movie she did? Tiny Furniture? If you're not a big indie movie fan, I dare you to watch the whole thing, let alone enjoy it. But I was going through some stuff when I watched it, so maybe with a clear head I can see it differently. However, I do enjoy seeing Brian Williams daughter on TV. Why can't she spend the entire damn show naked?

Lena is worst part of the show. Once i got past her, via the >> button lol, I liked the shiw more. The others pretty much carry it.
