Well it's official, the Avalanche won the Central division. Hurrah! 1st 2 games of the 1st round are Thursday and Saturday. Working on tickets as we speak.

After the Avs-Ducks game, the people of OC quit beating their wives and wiped the meth from their gumlines to appreciate one of the NHL's greatest ever, Teemu Selanne. Very cool post game celebration, and it was cool of him to go grab JS Giguere and take a lap. But when I saw this picture on twitter..

i finally watched the full louis c.k live at the beacon and my stomach still hurts. i was making howling sounds because laughing just wasn't cutting it anymore from his shtick about smoking in kansas city all the way until the credits rolled. i was laughing so hard that my eyebrows actually began sweating.

i discovered the error and creep factor of posting my awesome runs on facebook. so, the a**h*** ex-crush bartender guy from like new year'sish wrote something creepy on my run map i posted friday. he was all "hey! you ran past my house!" i, being facebook friendly, was all "no way, which street?" and he said "paintrock" which my backyard shares a fence with a house on paintrock. he can probably hear me and the boy from his place when we fight. so i was like whoa, too close for comfort. then i looked at my run map from friday and saw my route didn't take me down paintrock (the gps bitch for mapmyrun is a flaky flaky whore) but i did run down that street. so it's super creepy that he knew i ran down that street even though the map doesn't show it. it's also creepy cause my start and finish are kind of a dead giveaway as to where i probably live, you know. and i've posted my ten finest runs since february 16.

i had scary dreams sunday morning, so i did a property brothers marathon and i am so over the words "open concept."

i haven't seen any of game of thrones, but i spent a whole day at work last week watching black men react to the red wedding, so i know someone gets slapped and then all the screaming begins.

i also confuse game of thrones and hunger games.

barbara eden is still alive

i think i'm finally ready to give x-files a shot.

i saw identity thief this weekend and it left me with a very pineapple express feeling.

the mayor of league city leads jazzercise for seniors on monday mornings and that made my day.

you should see gravity then. if sandra bullock continued giving zero f**ks she never would have ended up completely f**ked in the end.

(but less f**ked than she was through the movie up to the end)

Most of my shows are on hiatus. Who was it here that saw Gravity and was gushing about it? I saw it, was so very disappointed. Frozen is a cartoon musical, wish someone had warned me. Thor 2, well it's Thor silly people. Awww, big hugs Jason, looking forward to many more "don't give a f***s!

New "Being..." blog coming today. I know you're all very excited.

Leigh - you're tired of hearing "open concept" because that's what everyone wants...including me. It's the main reason I would never consider an older home (okay that's a lie. Poltergeists are the main reason I would never look at an older home) but Jonathan can make those chopped up tiny rooms his bitch, so I'd hire him in a second to open it up. I'm not much for the furniture and window fabric designs he chooses though. We'd have words.

Speaking of which, I think I'm watching entirely too much HGTV and DIY Networks lately. I'm convinced my husband should go to trade school after he retires in 8 years for both electrical and plumbing. I have a friend who's one of those fancy designers. I've been watching the housing market in the Seattle area to see what the BPO might come back with on the one we have an offer on. EVERYTHING is a damn foreclosure. My plan is for the three of us to get together and flip houses. We could do all of the renovations ourselves! I told Trever that the other day and he raised an eyebrow. I sent a text to my friend and he hasn't responded. They'll come around.

Afternoon Q'ers
#13 | 100 days ago

still debating if I wanna go to the Suns game tonight or not. With my luck they're going to be the best team to not make the playoffs (like the Cardinals this year). Phoenix teams are cursed as of late. In the East they would be the 3rd seeded team. I hate the off-balance between the 2 conferences in the NBA.

sandra bullock would never say anything like that. especially after returning from space. but she may let out one of her token sandra bullock "rrrah!"s.

Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

Wow, how long since my last post?  3/25  angel

Well, my daughter survived her pageant.  (Distinguished Young Women)  She had her interview last Saturday (a 10-minute session that didn't feel like it lasted that long.) and yesterday the main event.

18 girls went through the process.  They were evaluated on 5 categories - scholastic, interview, fitness, talent, and self expression.    Each category had 1 top person, and then there were 5 who were selected as best overall.   My daughter did not "place", but she did receive several compliments.  It was a good experience for her.    The only concern I had was with her talent portion.   Working with her music teacher, who recommended her for the pageant, she had chosen to play a lively piece on the soprano sax.   I found out Saturday afternoon that she changed what she was going to do.  (She sang "God Save the Outcasts" from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame.")    I think she was intimidated by the piece she had chosen, and she decided to sing instead.  She told nobody of this decision, but one of her brothers found out, and kept her secret.

I told her after the pageant that, while I was fine with her changing what she performed, I would not have recommended changing from the sax to singing.  She has sung in a choir, but that was 2 years ago, and her voice isn't as solid as it could have been had she been singing all this time.   But, she made her decision, and stuck with it and participated.  That makes her a Distinguished Young Woman in my eyes.  I'm so proud.

i have such good news for you:
Case in point: This American Apparel model's bare midriff.
But while the look is occasionally seen on runways, it's rarely something actually rocked in real life.
Last year, London designer Astrid Anderson created nipple-baring crop tops for guys.

I've been really down today.  I think the clouds and rain have had a lot to do with that.

I have to say, though, that I'm proud of Schoni Schimmel for being drafted by the Atlanta Dream so she can play alongside fellow LadyCard Angel McCoughtry.  I love my girls!
