Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

Finally damn Friday. The Hawks didn't closeout, cause... yeah.
The Exorcist is one of the top 10 comedies of all time.
I have no knowledge of anything else happening in the world.

God I hate Skip Bayless. And usually I enjoy the rants and raves of flamboyant homosexuals.

Was there ever any doubt Montreal was going to score on that PP in double OT? that was 80-87% on the probability scale.
I'm upset I missed that entire game up to the last 5 minutes of OT1.

It's supposed to be at or around 80 degrees today and all weekend. Think I will be taking the evening in at Coors Field with a little Rockies-Mets action.

I gotta go work on proposals and watch the Sklar Brothers' new special on Netflix.

HAPPY FRIDAY Q"VILLE
#2 | 143 days ago

I'm loving the Kentucky Derby coverage today on Today!  I'm not a hat person, they look weird on me, but having been around the KXA as a kid (my uncle owned race horses) I would totally wear a hat and be there for the festivities, if I had the chance.  Christi, I'm jealous!

It's a whopping 36F here right now, and expecting a high of 41F today.   Take me away!!

So Donald Sterling has cancer......

I am jealous. I want to go somewhere.  Anywhere.  Preferably someplace warm, but at this point I'd take almost anywhere.

We're considering hitting a Sounders game while we're there. It depends if/what we hear about the house. (It's FRIDAY, and still NOTHING! UGH!)

Double OT: pacing, tweeting, yelling, texting, cursing, "the hand of God" in the crease, more cursing, then..

There is absolutely nothing better (see above) or worse (see Stoney) than overtime playoff hockey. It's like a combination of a roller coaster and a haunted house while it's happening. Then when it's over (win or lose) once your heart rate returns to normal, your initial reaction is like a little kid's --> "AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN!!"

I'm absolutely going to have a nervous breakdown at some point and then want more. Bank it.

cover of this SI..Johnny Football and quotes about him.

"his lower body mechanics are awful, but wow, he makes some throws". -Kevin Gilbride
"who gives a rat's ass about his mechanics? I would love to coach this kid" -David Cutcliffe.  <--- wtf...really? I think someone, coaches maybe!, should care.

gifriday, i forgot.

I wish I could have been that confident about it. I was a nervous mess at the time, but it was one of those OT "the ice is completely tilted one way then - bang! - the other team scores" situations.

Bear Hands - Giant

(Two words)
Rock, chalk, shot a jayhawk
Never been to jail cause I never get caught
I got smarts, dark, dangerous dog
ODB got it right from the start
You got one and you changed from crazy to calm
I've been awake for days in the dusk and the dawn
And you're loving me whether you want to or not
I want you for sure, I am loving you more

I am loving you, more
I am loving you more
I am loving you, more

(Who heard?)
What, no, no right from the start
Go sell that sh*t somewhere farther from the heart
Running, and running, and running, and stop
Come on, we both knew this thing would be hard
I see art
You see class
You think
You ask
You say darling am I a chore?
I said I know you love me, I am loving you more

I am loving you, more
I am loving you more
I am loving you, more

Pick up the perfect card
Slip into smiling wildly
After the rest have gone
We become beyond timeless
Give you everything that I have ever owned
Soon I will have bought us up a house and home
Up on the seventh floor
I know you love me, I am loving you more

I am loving you, more
I am loving you more
I am loving you, more
I am loving you more

I am loving you, more
I am loving you, more
I am loving you, more

It never fails this time of year in these parts.  Who knew folks could turn horse races into such a huge party?

Exactly what I thought.  (I hate to bring this up, but the Av's/Wild game comes to mind)

So today I went to my new fav restaurant, called Browns Socialhouse.  There are a number of them across Canada, but there just happens to be one about 100 steps from work, meaning I eat there a lot.  A lot.  It isn't expensive, no more expensive than getting in my truck and driving 15 minutes to McDonalds or A&W or Subway or Stewies Diner (picture Al's from Happy Days).

Anywho, my son was supposed to make me lunch but called to work early and had to cancel.  So off to Brown's I go.  Okay, but first I have to tell you that the owner was in the store just before my break and we were making conversation, as usual.  He asked me if I was going to the Luke Bryan concert on Tuesday and/or Wednesday next week.  I responded that I wasn't as I hadn't parked my ass in the waiting lineup the night before tickets went on sale, as my coworker had joked she had done.

I said "No, I'm not, I wasn't fortunate enough to get tickets so I'm not going :(  Unless, Of course, you want to buy me tickets??"  we both laughed and he left.  Fast forward to half an hour later, me sitting at the bar, nursing a Cran and Soda, waiting on my potato crustes halibut.  The assistant manager comes over to me and greets me, asks how my day is, and asks what I'm eating today.  Then she tells me she has a gift for me.  Any guesses??
Yes, she gave me two tickets for Luke Bryan - CLUB SEATS!!! Meaning more butt room, leg room and drink holders in the chairs, plus a gift certificate for the restaurant.  I immediately started bawling.  I felt terribly guilty, and started telling her it was only a joke!!  She had no idea what I was talking about as she hadn't seen the owner since my "wanna buy me tickets" comment.  It seems the owner buys tickets for the big name concerts we get, and he had purchased some for Luke Bryan.  Some of the staff are asked to pick a customer they want to give tickets to.  A customer who is loyal, who promotes the restaurant, and who deserves a treat.  Sasha picked me two weeks ago, and the staff all knew it.  they had been waiting for the right time to give me the tickets.  I bawled some more.

Turns out I might have a hard time getting out of work on time, but if we get there for the main event, I'll be happy.  Unfortunately I have an early shift on Wednesday, but who cares!!!

And how was your Friday?

Update

Hiiii!

I am down to one client until further notice and I will be able to log on here more often as I will be working at that house all day with breaks.

I lost my phone Friday night at some bar or possibly in the parking area.  I have a new one coming thanks to insurance and I heard all my stuff will magically reappear once I activate it.  What a scary thing!  All my passwords to every thing connected to my bank account or Paypal had to be changed.  Giant PITA.   I hope it really does work that way.  I would hate to lose pictures of my lil girls.

My daughter is scheduled to have a C section on July 1.  Baby #3, his name will be Matthew.

I got my laptop fixed.  So, yeah.

I have really missed y'all.

Gonna clear out the DVR    Hannibal is waiting.

Yeah, science!

Still awake at 9:35 am.  That's about 26 hours, with about 6 hours dancing overnight.  I will be hitting bed soon.  I can't believe another Derby Day is in the books, and we had great weather for the whole thing.
