Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

I put my phone on all songs shuffle after the game last night (they won, btw), and my what fun! It's glorious.

Y'all need to step it up, people. geez.

Look what the cat dragged from under a rock...ME!  Been super busy

The GREAT team, the RANGERS, pulled it off!  Cindy Crosby notwithstanding, and Malkin running at King Henrik....it was an exciting series.  LET's GO HABS!  The OTHER great team, the KINGS...well, teach...they're going to WIN!!!

Yankees lost to the Mutts last night.....that makes 6 in a row, and can't shut up the boisterous Mutts fans around here....

My chee-hooa-hooa (Chihuahua....it's just the way I pronounce it) is going to be a star on stage!  The local theatre company is doing "Legally Blonde" and Nacho is going to play the part of "Bruiser"....it was in Legally Blonde 2 where he had his way with the bigger dog....here's his pic....

Pawtographs are through his agent, my son....

Have a GREAT HUMP DAY!  GO KNIGS!

Patrick Kane does it again!!!  Minnesota was definitely a harder series to win than STL's.  Now, it's either LA or ANA.

And how about that CHOKE JOB by the Penguins! Up 3-1 in the series and than lose 3 in a row to get bounced!!!

Rooting for MTL to beat BOS tonight!  GO HABS!!

Lets see that one again, shall we?

A man faked his kidnapping - WTF fun facts
#11 | 109 days ago

I'm not gonna lie...I totally sang that ish in the answer choices.

Why does it always have to be that the other team choked? I mean, sometimes it's true but not always. I watched most of the Rangers/Pens series, and New York was pretty amazing on defense those final games. I think they deserve some credit for how they played. I'm gonna be honest - I was cheering for Boston because of Rask, but now I really hope it's Montreal. I would love to see a Habs/Rangers series, because I would love to see someone new up in the finals this year.

We're supposed to hear SOMETHING today on the house. I don't usually ask for good vibes and positiveness from anybody else, especially for something so minor, but if you have a little extra to spare...

Why??  Because when you are up 3-1 and have 2 Home Games left and you don't win the series, it's a choke!

Yes, NY also deserved to win the series because of their determination, but, at the end of the day, when you are 1 WIN away with 3 left and you don't get it done, YOU CHOKED!   Just ask the Cubs about that! wink

I still don't buy that. Choke implies they just stopped playing/trying/sucked...I didn't see that. I saw a Rangers team that just got a second wind after their first game and played their asses off.

Really?  Hm....I perceive a team "choking" as being favored to win and not getting it done or squandering up a large lead, late, and losing.

A player or team that stops playing and trying, to me, is labeled as "giving up" or "rolling over" not "choking".

With that being said, the opposite of Choke is Clutch and that is exactly what the Rangers were, they were clutch.

I don't remember a choke on cars, but I remember it on our boat when I was little.

(Nick, I use those terms for giving up too, but also choke. I guess I perceive choke as the fault of the losing team; not that the winning team just outplayed them when they're both playing well. I agree NY was clutch.)

Our band has done this. In past years, they've played at Veterans homes here in San Diego and Los Angeles.  After performing, they sat and talked with the residents. Over the years my daughter has bonded with several of them. She looks forward to seeing them whenever we perform there.

What happens if I bring them back late? Do I get charged a late fee, or get charged with kidnapping?

What if I get that one who can hold up the dining table just right, stopping it's wobbling?

Can I take notes? I usually use a highlighter. Is that allowed?

What if they get injured or die while I have them checked out? Will I get fined for damages?

People are weird about the Twitter here. I'll be there though, and as per usual, I'll be behaving myself if anything good happens for the Ducks out of respect for Becky. And people thought we were gonna snipe at each other. Psh.

We've been having a heat wave here, with record breaking temps for this time of year.   We have just started having brush fires.  One decent size one started yesterday, and with the winds we've been having, it has spread embers to different areas.  Camp Pendleton has a brush fire that started this morning that now closed the 5 North due to a big rig catching fire.

i got an app to remind me to drink water. it has its pros and cons

pros
- i drink plenty of water
- i drink steadily through the day
- i don't get "hungry" cause i'm always full to the top with water
- i pee regularly because the notification totally sounds like urine hitting the deepest part of the potty from a distance

cons
- i drink more water than i'm supposed to because i am actually competing with the stupid thing
- i don't stop drinking so i can be ready to input what i've had for the next time it notifies me
- i feel like i should be rolled to destinations because i am so full of water
- the notification totally sounds like urine hitting the deepest part of the potty from a distance

1.   Habs and Bruins just got underway and I'm watching

2.  Our quads all have a choke on them and they are 2008 models or newer.  My genset in the trailer also has a "prime" or choke switch.  I live in the north.  It's a necessity when it is cold out.

3.  I've been sick all day, sicker than I can remember being in a long time.  I don't like it one damn bit.

4.  I will be on twitter while watvhing the games.

5.  I just watched some video of the fires in CA near Camp Pendleton.  110?? home destroyed so far?  ugh :(

6.  There s an Amber Alert in our province.  Some mother (looks like a crack ho') got her kids to leave school and meet up with her and they are headed west.

Montreal just scored!!

There are (currently) 6 separate fires in the area.   One of our technicians lives in Hemet  (about an hour and a half north of our office) and he left for home early.  Good thing too, because about an hour ago Interstate 15 was closed due to one of the fires.   We haven't had fires in a while, so along with our lovely drought conditions there is a lot of fuel out there.   Who's bringing the marshmallows???

They said on the news I watched that the 2013 Fire Season never ended, you just went straight into the 2014 Fire season.  Also, they showed four major fires when I watched two hours ago.  I hope that doesn't mean there are two new fires, rather that some moron in the newsroom thought two of them weren't major enough for their hoity toity news cast.

there are a lot of sticks flying around in this game.......
