I am THIRD!!!

Happy Friday,, Q'ers!  Did you know that the KINGS are a GREAT team?

Beautiful weather here in NJ...FINALLY!  I've got spring fever....my body is tired, and I really don't want to do anything!

The Yankees actually won a game!  Hey....they scored 2 runs, but Tanaka Blast (a reference for us old buys...Binaca was a breath freshener spray, so you took a "bianca" blast) is the real deal.  He's 9-1 now...

After tomorrow night's game, I hope that teach will be saying what a GREAT TEAM the Rangers are!

College roommate is coming to visit tomorrow...will probably have an epic breakfast like this.....

Have a GREAT WEEKEND!!! GO RANGERS!!!

I still feel awful, but at least it's Friday.

Very cool part of yesterday's MLB draft when the Rockies drafted Denver native and fellow Evansville Purple Ace Kyle Freeland with the 8th selection yes

Just have to get through about 7 more hours

#5 | 50 days ago

Twitter has me all abuzz about the MLB Draft, even though I have no idea what's going on, who these guys the Mariners are drafting are, how good they are, or if I'll even see them play in the next however long. It also made me giggle uncontrollably last night during the NBA game, though I didn't watch it. People are hilarious.

Guys, for the THIRD time now, I got my natural color (a dark auburn) hair dye to color my greys...I don't have a ton, but I have pretty dark hair, and even the 10 or so strands that keep showing up really stand out. Anyway, as I was saying, for the THIRD time now, I bought my natural hair color (so it says on the box) and when I dye it, it's BLACK y'all. My skin is so pasty white, I look goth. I should get some black lipstick, spikes for my piercings, and just go with it.

Smarter Balance Tests that don't count can suck it.
Being trapped in a closed door room with 30 third grade bodies waiting for THREE kids to finish a non-important test can suck it.
It smells in here.

Oh god, mine smelled the house up weird at that age (what IS that?!?) I can't even imagine 30 of those in one room. Gross. I hope you're able to get out of there this afternoon and have a shaved ice on a tropical lotion smelling beach.

No no no, that was the whole point!!! That's what I wanted it to be. That's why my editress, who knows me super well, took out about 1000 words of tangent and focused on the related specifics that actually made some sense that would get people thinking, sharing, etc.

I may clean up all the Sterling stuff that was cut. The last part was originally the first paragraph in this thing, but it took too long to get to the real point.

The Unbearable Lightness of Being Declared Mentally Incapacitated was the original title. LMAO!!

Hi.

Go Justin Williams and that team that of his backup dancers singers players.

I am so excited for the World Cup.  Especially with some big names dropping (Franck Ribery out, Cristiano Ronaldo not playing warm up games) could open up some round of 16 dark horses.  Mexico and Portugal warm up tonight.

Go California Chrome, followed by Matterhorn.

My intellectual awareness of others lack of intellectual awareness even though they have a high opinion of their intellectual awareness is fantastic.

Sorry to the Pittsburgh Penguins for the next 5 years or so until they get rid of Jim Rutherford as GM.

Did I miss anything?

The other day, I was listening to a playlist and Blink came on...as per usual, I'm dancing in my chair while working, singing along. I had my Beats on, so I couldn't hear anything else going on in the house, but I was home alone so I wasn't too worried about it. Anyway, the song was Natives, and I was rockin it! I looked at the clock, and it was 12:06pm...I thought "I better shut it down, the mister's gonna be here for lunch any minute, and I don't want him walking in on me acting a fool with music only I can hear...gawd." RIGHT then, I got a Starbucks alert on my app telling me that my card was just used in Sequim (he was 2.5 hours away!) At first I was ticked about the Starbucks visit without me, but then I thought "Yay! I can keep singing..."

Blink 182: Natives
I'm like a cat in a cage, locked up and battered and bruised
I am the prodigal son, a shameful prodigy too
I am the love of your life, battering ram and confused
I turn each day into night, I stand there waiting for you
There is desire to fight, but I have nothing to prove
With the crowd and some lights, I start to feel things move
Do you have something to hide? 'Cause I think that we all do
I am a child inside, back up and give me some room

I'm just a bast**d child, don't let it go to your head
I'm just a waste of your time, maybe I'm better off dead
You turn us loose in the night, I'm f**king Jekyll and Hyde
We'll have the time of our lives, although we're dying inside

So let me go, go
So let me go, go
Just let me go, go
I'd rather go it alone
So let me go, go
So let me go, go
Just let me go, go
I'm never coming home

Don't start to panic for me, 'cause I have nothing to lose
I am as bright as the sun, I burn up all that I choose
Upon the side of a field, I see a city with lights
I touch her face and I kneel, she tells me she's not alive
I am too nervous to run, like kids who scatter and hide
To reach and grab for someone, but end up buried alive
A world is waiting for me, a road that I rarely use
I start to feel my feet, they kick down walls as they move

I'm just a bast**d child, don't let it go to your head
I'm just a waste of your time, maybe I'm better off dead
You turn us loose in the night, I'm f**king Jekyll and Hyde
We'll have the time of our lives, although we're dying inside

So let me go, go
So let me go, go
Just let me go, go
I'd rather go it alone
So let me go, go
So let me go, go
Just let me go, go
I'm never coming home

I'm just a bast**d child, don't let it go to your head

Thanks.

I wish I could be around more but...

I'm taking classes to become some kind of HR professional, whether I work with Home Depot in Atlanta or someplace else.  Classes are online but with my ADHD (intellectual awareness alert) I mean inability to focus it takes me awhile to get shtuff done.  Also, I am working overnights now (my choice) so extra time is a little off.  I always seem to be on the site, but I'm just stalking, rarely posting.  Hopefully come the fall I'll be back with football and hockey polls, and people will take them so I'm not wasting my time there also.  Lazy (intellectual awareness delete).

You got the right stuff...

The Frazier History Museum is carrying an exhibit called "Gridiron Glory:  The Best of the NFL Hall of Fame Museum."  I had no idea Canton had a travelling exhibit, and I'm glad they do.  They've also got an AMAZING collection of arms from around the world that I almost never tire of seeing.

Louisville baseball is playing in a super regional about a mile up the road.  We're down 3-1 bottom of the 7th.  Ti  me to shut this mess down.  Meanwhile, Louisville pitcher Nick Burdi was drafted by the Minnesota Twins today.  Love watching my boys go pro.

Aren't graduations fun ?  I was blind sighted. They honored my son, ALex's dad, for parents that have passed on and weren't able to be there to see their kids graduate.  It really was nice and they had a moment of prayer, but that was moment #1 of losing it.  I'm so proud of Alex.  I'm so not happy he is going all the way to Florida to college., my baby has grown up on me. Let the parties begin. He is at an all night party tonight, and we are having a pool party/bbq tomorrow starting at 10. a.m..

Arch is in front, and the 6'8" guy behind me (making us look like mini-me's) is Mark.  Good times reminiscing.  They came to visit because the GREAT team, the RANGERS, beat the Penguins in the playoffs.  By the way, there is another great team..the KINGS.

This is for the Louisville baseball team..

Start tearing the old man down
Run past the heather and down to the old road
Start turning the grain into the ground
Roll a new leaf over

In the middle of the night there's an old man
Treading around in the gathered rain
Hey, mister, if you want to walk on water...
Would you drop a line my way?

[Hook: Counting Crows]

Omaha
Somewhere in middle America

Get right to the heart of matters
It's the heart that matters more

I think you'd better turn your ticket in
And leave your money right at the door

[Verse Two: Counting Crows]

Start threading the needle
Brush past the shuttle that slides through the cold room
Start turning the wool across the wire
Roll the new life over

In the middle of the night there's an old man
Threading his toes through a bucket of rain
Hey, mister, if you want to walk on water
You're only going to walk all over me

[Hook: Counting Crows]

Omaha
Somewhere in middle America
Get right to the heart of matters
It's the heart that matters more
I think you'd better turn your ticket in
And leave your money right at the door

[Verse Three: Counting Crows]

Start running the banner down
Drop past the color come up through the summer rain
Start turning the girl into the ground
Roll a new life over
In the middle of the night there's a young man
Rolling around in the earth and rain
Hey mister if you're going to walk on water, you know
You're only going to walk all over me

[Hook: Counting Crows]

Omaha
Somewhere in middle America
Get right to the heart of matters
It's the heart that matters more
I think you'd better turn your ticket in
And leave your money right at the door

3 things 1. Walked into Twin Peaks after work for a beer and the only two things showing were, hockey on grass and soccer on ice. Thankfully there are only 88 days till the NFL season begins. 2. Has it really been 4 years already? I saw it is almost time for hockey on grass' big once every four years tournament. So it is time for the majority of us Americans to pretend we care about the sport for the next month-ish. Then when the U.S. is eliminated after pool play we can firmly support which ever country of our heritage is still in it. Usually Germany for me, Ireland's players are probably too drunk or hungover to play well. #gohockeyongrass #gousa 3. I am looking to hire someone to make sure that there are bottles of water in my fridge getting cold. That way when I wake up hungover I have cold water to drink and not room temperature water. I guess this task is too much for me. It doesn't pay and you are responsible for any travel expenses. There are also no benefits, other than the satisfaction of knowing I have cold water to help cure my hangover. Dream job!
I wish it would rain...
