Totally thread-bombing.

There's this guy who works at the general store here, and literally every time either my husband or I (or both of us) go in there, he always wants to chit chat about the Mariners and what they're doing. If he's not working the register, he'll come talk to us in the aisle lol...he's funny. Anyway, when we went to the game the other night it was Robinson Cano bobblehead night, and all three of us got bobbleheads. We decided to take one in to him. We kept forgetting, but remembered last night. I handed it to him and he thought I was just showing him something cool we got, and he kind of admired it and went to hand it back. I said, "no, that's yours." Dude got a little choked up, y'all. He was so happy! That made my day. I want to be Ellen when I grow up.

Why didn't one of you knucklenuts tell me the movie The Heat was a quote/throw away line Sharknado!?!?! MAGNIFIQUE!!! The "Tattle T!ts" line is the greatest throw away of the last decade. Well, top 5 but still.

Grand Budapest Hotel was a very solid 7.

X-Men: 6.5 but the end is a clusterf*ck of time traveling theories, alternate realities & time lines. Two thumbs WUT?? #Nope

It's summer catch up time, so there's that.

As you were.

Days of Future Past essentially "undid" every previous Xmen movie with the exception of First Class.  Pretty classy way to reboot a franchise.  Im giving it an 8 for that and the Quicksilver sequence.  (Also they finally got Iceman right!)

General store?

Do you live in Hooterville and what year is it there?
Are you allowed to vote yet?
Does your celly freak people out like the car in Back to the future?
Did Prof. X & Magneto ask you and your hubby to 'back' to save the now?

(Total Leigh post necessitating a few follow up questions. Well done.)

I agree except they mangled the "new present" with the last line. PICK A GD TIME LINE PROF!?!?? Cuz nope.
Inception vs. reality. I mean...
Why didn't QuickSilver just keep going with the team in the past? Clearly, he was a valuable asset.
Geezus Magneto, pick up the helmet before you jet.
How many times must Wolverine get eff'd up by Magneto before he tries a new tactic?

Apart from that and 30 other things I liked transition to reboot. So maybe an upgrade to 7.

Seriously, dude. The day we moved to this town and noticed that for "businesses" there was a general store, a mini-mart/gas station that closes at 8pm on Sunday, 9pm M-Th, and 10pm F-Sat, a post office (it totally looks like an old west little thing) and a couple of "restaurants" I wanted to backtrack out of here like Scooby Doo when he sees a ghost. We walked into the store and past hardware, guns, ammo, bait (LIVE BAIT!) to get to the milk, eggs, and produce...I looked up at my husband and said, "I wanna go home." Nevermind the fact that I didn't know where home was. He said "we are home" and I'll admit, I almost started crying right then and there.

Forgot to mention...again...
  • We live 1 hour and 11 minutes from the nearest real town, 2 hours and 15 minutes from any sort of big-name store, such as Albertsons...and Starbucks
  • There are fewer than 465 residents. (I say fewer, because there were 465 according to latest census, and there have been 5 deaths since we moved here; 2 murders and 2 suicides, one drug overdose)
  • During halibut season the number of people in town triples. I don't know where they all sleep
  • There is literally NOTHING open past 10:00 anywhere here or in the town 1hour and 11 minutes away
  • There is only one road in and out of this place...it doesn't loop, and there's at least one good landslide per year on that road which blocks everything for a few days
  • It takes me almost 5 hours to get to Seattle...depending on traffic
(edit) All this, and it's a dry reservation. I can't get alcohol anywhere in town. There's a little liquor store about 30 minutes away, but it's ridiculously expensive there. Not that it isn't worth it sometimes.

The last line?  When he tells Logan they have some catching up to do?

The Quicksilver thing was a plothole for sure.  He could have made that whole entire last scene at the white house a non issue.  He could have grabbed Mystique (a.k.a the woman in the love triangle hexagon) and had her in Brazil before anyone knew she was gone.

Didnt even notice he forgot his helmet.

Things not fixed in time line shift...
a.  How did Logan have metal claws in the future?
b.  Havoc is Scott's younger brother but he's a member of the "First Class" in the 60's?
c.  Who is Bobby banging?  Rogue or Kitty Pryde?

Yeah if the old -new- time line ends, with everything vanishing, then HOW does Prof. X know that during a night's sleep that Logan/Wolverine has in fact been gone for like 40 years or whatever? X is now part of that other new-now time line (where everybody is alive and well) and can't possibly know what happened since it did not happen? Also if it is just a shift or continuation of the the same time line they will eventually have to go back and do it all over again. (infinite loop paradox) X should have just said "Good morning, Logan." and fade to credits.

A B & C are also valid WTFs. Hell we should go over every scene and word in the script like the Zepruder film!

Exactly...Prof X should have been confused about Logan's confusion.   And im assuming the infinite loop was broken since Katniss didnt kill Tyrion.

And how were Scott and Jean still a couple?  Does love conquer the space time continuum?

And how was Prof X even alive in the future?  Didn't he die at the end of Xmen 3?

Why did Magneto have that stupid half long half short cape?

Why was Logans hair gray in the future?  If he doesn't age then his hair would never turn color.

My husband asked, "did you tell B-Wagz about your jersey curse?" and I said "I don't have a jersey curse." and I sh** you not, you guys, I totally felt that weight lift. I invalidated that mess right then and there. That was liberating.
