Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. so, i went on that vacation two weeks ago and i still haven't fully come back! it's good and bad. i feel like i haven't done 10 hours of work. and the boy and i are riding a good wave right now, so even home feels like a getaway. and we have a road trip to the okc zoo to see zz top and jeff beck in august. i just hope i get my s**t back together before then!

4th of july was wonderful. and via facebook, i only know one dumbass who blew his hands off. or maybe the dumbass is the person who keeps posting about the dumbass who blew his hands off...i dunno. freaking alvin people..

my mom and my andy informed me that they will be heading up to colorado in october and will be taking in a little color. probably edibles. it's been at least a decade for my momma and it's science - chicks can't hold their smoke.

i started binging on the show called dollhouse and i love it. adelle dewitt is so saucy. i also watched an insane movie called crystal fairy (or something) about michael cera, the daughter from uncle buck, and some chileans trying to cook some cactus on the beach to achieve some crazy high. the daughter from uncle buck is naked and hairy in a lot of it and i want to be judgemental, but it's really just jealousy, cause that is one hell of a comeback.

here's a gif of me walking my crazy dogs

Happy Monday Q'er's...had a nice long weekend....does anyone feel like I do, that when the 3 day weekend starts on Friday and lasts until Sunday that it doesn't go by as fast as one that starts on Saturday and lasts until Monday?  This weekend went by just right...didn't seem to fly by.

Weather is beautiful here in NJ...after rain the first half of Friday, the rest of the weekend was beautiful.  I actually got a bit of a sunburn on my arms when I was powerwashing the patio and the stairs and the fence.  Forgot  to take off my watch, so now I have a watch mark on my wrist....maybe I'll draw numbers on it to make it look real....

Here's today's pic...enjoy!

I wonder how they DO taste......

Heyyyyy Q'ers!

We went and played in Seattle yesterday. I said, "we only have (this much $$) to hold us off until the 14th, so we can go just play around at Pike Place and be fiscally conservative." That didn't work out...ya know why? Because we parked at Safeco (non-event days are $5 for the whole day!) Parking at Safeco put us down by all the team and pro shops. That was our first mistake.

Let me just say...I always wondered why I only had like 2 Seahawks t-shirts until relatively recently. Anyway, it's basically because I've always spent my Seahawks clothes $$ on jerseys. While I was buying myself jerseys, my husband has been stocking his team wardrobe up and has more t-shirts, shorts, hats, & such than I can count. Right after the SB I decided I would take what I was going to spend on a jersey, put it to t-shirts, and now I have something like 7, and they're mostly post-Super Bowl, with post-Super Bowl designs and such. My favorite is one with the Statue of Liberty doing the TD sign. My second fave is one that says "Seattle Girl: Owns one little black dress and three jerseys." (Trever keeps threatening to get a fabric marker or silver sharpie and write thirty- in front of the three.)

ANYWAY...we went into the pro shop, and they were having a 30% off clearance prices sale. They were getting rid of all of their SB jerseys, which have the SBXLVIII patch in front. I had decided I was getting a Bobby Wagner jersey next, but they didn't have any BWagz SB jerseys...sooooo...I got a Malcom Smith (SB MVP!) and I broke down and got a girl cut. Why? Well here's the thing - I didn't have any Blue Friday jerseys, because I had Walter Jones sign his jersey last year and I'm framing it, and my Mack Strong jersey is TRASHED, so it's bein retired and framed too. I also decided that I needed one that fit me cute for when I'm out running around (I usually get XXL or whatever the number is that's equivalent so it looks like I jacked the jersey from the locker room,) so I got a girl cut. I had buyer's remorse about the girl cut thing, because I'm so weird about that, but here it is, in all its magnificent glory (except it's my back, and you can't see the patch, but you get the idea.)

I'm so tired of people making comments about all of us "bandwagon" fans, but someone said to me recently, "don't let it hurt you if you know it's not true." (how great is that advice for all sorts of things?) It's just ridiculous that those of us who have followed the team through thick and thin are lumped in with the bandwagon (yes I KNOW it's there) just because we want to wear new style stuff. I decided I don't care anymore. It's not like I can go back and replace all my old stuff that's worn out.

HI!

Jess----I get your football attire craziness and match it with my own Kings craziness ( I omitted attire because this craziness has no bounds surprise). I'm now the proud owner of several OYO little Kings dudes (Brown, Kopitar, Carter, Martinez, Toffolli.......a Zamboni). I was close to buying a Build a Bear but someway reasoned my no-job summer self to not click the submit button. Then there is the special edition stuff----the milk bottle from a local dairy, Sports Illustrated, The Hockey News.......it's nuts.

Here's a pic of my milk bottle. I plan on using it as a vase.

I want this!

P.S.
I'm not a fan of the folks in Murrieta.

LOVE! My craziness knows no bounds either...lanyards, pins, stuffed Blitz, pillow pets, Lego players, framed prints/photos/plaques, etc etc etc...and the fact that I do it with both Seahawks and Mariners (and would with Ducks stuff if I lived where I can find it easily)...it's OOC. I'm so glad others understand!

Q'rs
Jack zip lining for the first time.Where Joshua spent as much time as I would let himand this stuff was awesome. Like I said, it was a blast.

ps: afterthought {anyone else go "honk honk" on Jess's pic?] Anyone, just me, oh well.....
pps: Jess and Ms. Becky, your love for the Seahawks/Mariners and Kings respectively,{ don't know why I felt the need} anyway, is like my love of the Nascar. Feels good to know there are otherwise normal folk that are a bit crazy when it comes to their teams.
PEACE

One of those folks in Murrieta is probably one of my brother-in-law's sons, although what's going on is not his MO.  But he lives there and is of that persuasion.

I went to the library after work today expecting to pick up four books I had on hold.  Two more came in today, so I have to knock out all six in the next three weeks.  Luckily, I've been able to post up in Starbucks an awful lot lately, so I've done a bunch of reading in the past few days.

If you're planning on travelling through Louisville anytime soon, it's gonna suck for you.  We're in the process of building two new bridges into Southern Indiana and one bridge is going to be closed for about six weeks during this process.  I am so glad I don't have to drive downtown or across the bridge for any reason.

I'm in the process of planning a trip to Dallas for my birthday next year.  I have a brother and a sister who live in the Metroplex and somebody is going to take me to see the Stars play either the Pens or the Blackhawks.

Okay, so I GET this, and although no one but Jen will understand this really, here is my find of today....

Trolling the local second hand store and I scored a diecast of the car Kevin Harvick drove to victory at Atlanta in his third NASCAR Sprint Cup start, in March of 2001.  It was only three weeks after the death of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and a hugely emotional one for the team, for Dale Jr. and for race fans everywhere.  It was sitting in a box, half hidden by other "toys".  I couldn't believe what I had just come across.  I snapped it up so quickly it wasn't even funny.

Next week I'm on vacay from the main job, so I'm going to spend part of that time painting the outhouses in the campground at the golf course.

Today it was 86F and I LOVED it!

Because it was enjoyable, stories will be shared for many years because of it, and at one point I burned my chin with cream cheese from a jalapeno popper fresh off the grill. I have a god damn scab the size of a fingernail because someone got carried away with the cream cheese. And I rode a unicorn, and it was glorious. Will that suffice?
