Surrounded by forest fires.  Air is so smokey, and it is supposed to be 88F again today, but because there is NO breeze, it feels more like 91.  We are on tap to break another record, around since 1949, for high temps.  And I'm on VACAY!!! I love it (except the smoke)

My great, great nephew turns 2 today.  Happy birthday Bentley!

TF are you reading?

We went out to Mexican last night, and I had the carne asada con enchilada. I love their guacamole there, but they don't make their own tortillas. How weird, right? I make my own, and they're really easy; no big deal to make, and especially with a tortilla press. I don't understand. And even though my meal was delicious, I'm regretting not getting the crab tacos.

I might order my husband a jersey today. I haven't decided. He wants a Cano, but he doesn't want to be "like everyone else"...so I thought maybe I'll get him an All Star one. That way fewer people have it, and it's got red (his favorite color) and it's kinda cool looking. He's always doing sweet things like that for me, and he never gets jerseys...I think I just talked myself into it.

We close by the end of the month, y'all.

ok, let's see what's going on... As a baseball guy, I like the idea of the Home Run Derby. But come on, why is there a high school competition on and why do I have to wait an hour and a half between Giancarlo Cruz Mike Stanton at bats? Once he lost I changed the channel. I'm assuming Cespedes won. But holy hell, that first round by Stanton was fantastic.

I didn't know who Chandler Parsons was until yesterday. Now I hope he blows his achilles this summer. Douche

I finally watched the first 3 episodes of The Leftovers the other night. I did enjoy it, but If you're not in a good place, you're not going to feel any better after watching it

The humidity here today was 75% the last I checked. I hate humidity, and considering that number is usually in the low teens to high single digits, this is GD miserable.
#12 | 63 days ago

I can't get into the HR Derby..it's just like batting practice to me. I'll be watchin the game though.

Hola amigos!! So I went to this fantabulous pig roast on Saturday and I am just noticing that my sunglasses are missing. I remember having them hanging from the front of my top...apparently I must dropped them and my drunk ass didn't notice. Oh and the sun is killing my eyes. So if anyone wants to buy me some for my birthday. .I would appreciate it. I loved them ♡ :(

Sometimes I light the grill with the lid shut.  Take a walk on the wild side.

So, it appears my 83 year old mama has alzheimers.  Lots of loopy stuff going on.
I have to make a trip to Michigan in August for a competency hearing.  Then make arrangements.
I think it is helping that she is not very motherly to us.  Still feel something, but mostly just staying analytical about the whole thing
My stepbrother has been documenting her decline since February.  10 pages of absolute weirdness and sadness.  He is the retired assistant chief of police in her town, so it reads like a court document.      Trying to stay up...hug your parents people if they are still around.

As long as Ash is doling out health advice.  I'll join.

Cool trick.

Balance two eggs on top of two bananas for 42 minutes and 71% of the cholesterol will be absorbed into the banana peel.

Eggs must be aligned with an east-west orientation and bananas must be still "bunched."

Enjoy your eggs and bananas.

*Do not eat the banana peel.

Note........if you follow this advice, make a nice hat out of tinfoil while you do this...and please please publish a photo.

Peace and Love

Hi Y'all!
I'm going thru Nacho Cheese Doritos like George 'the Animal' Steele attacks the ring cushions.
I heard 2 cups of morning joe decreases the risk of colon and/or prostate cancer.
After 5-6 weeks of dry weather, got significant rainfall today, may cool to 67° tomorrow night.
Most likely will watch the All-Star Game, really hoping for high scoring contest,is it me but last few All-Star games I've been quite bored!
Last weekend my sisters seen Bad Company and Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert, next week they'll see Aerosmith(for the dozen[th]) time.

The Leftovers is the best mindblowing thing since True Detectives. The writers are so out there its fantastical. The folks that pop up and you are all like, hey wait a minute they were on and you realize that some of those folks really have the acting chops. Love Judging Amy's craziness.
