Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

I really need to remember to lock my apartment door at all times. Two nights ago I got home at around 2-3am and forgot to lock it. My door has a problem of swinging open when a big wind gust comes, and at some point in my 10 hours of sleep yesterday, it was open.

Thankfully my apartment building isn't too large (15-20 rooms), so even though I'm pretty much the first door you see once you come up the stairs, nobody bothered to steal anything, and luckily my cat didn't run away.

Do I still have to sleep in the cupboard?...

congratulations to the stars of The Big Bang Theory for pulling off an Ocean's 11+12+13 style con for the the better part of a decade and making serious bank.

I forgot the Cubs were in town this week. Scheduling an appointment at 6pm tonight was a mistake

Thanks to the suggestion from Marcus, I've been watching The Thick Of It this week while time permits when I'm doing paperwork and working on proposals. My love for that show can not be measured in normal human limitations. If you're skittish about swearing, the show's definitely not for you

Glad nothing was taken from your apartment. If you fed your cat more than twice, it will never leave you. They are just like that.

Good to see you around.

(Edited by Jess)
Kitchen Crashers & Flip or Flop marathons right now on DIY Network and HGTV.

We finally got our patio furniture, and I'm super excited we waited! We got a $500 set for $250, and it's lovely. Big padded love seat and rocking chairs with a "coffee" table. It's like a little living room set for our deck. AND It's a pretty sage green, which matches the little sheer we got for our living room window. This house is turning me into a little grownup.

I was gonna go to the Mariners game tonight to watch Felix pitch, and I *really* wanted to see the Braves (the Braves, to me, have such a rich history I want to see them even more than I wanted to see the Red Sox and Yankees) but we decided to stay home instead, after spending the $$ on our patio furniture. Sucks being responsible.

I think I might sand my shelves today.

Edit - also, look what my husband brought home for me to go with my new skates:

I think it may be my fave TV show of all time. It's like if you took the amount of jokes per second of 30 Rock, sped the plot up by 50%, and used hysterically, horrific cursing as punctuation.

Perfect 10/10

Psh, I'm a wuss. There's enough flex to it that I'll be fine.

I golfed today by myself.  It wasn't a stellar game, but I only had one ball go far right, and one in the water.  I was practicing getting out of difficult areas, rather than using the "foot wedge" as so many do.  That being said I got a 54 which is 18 over par.  Being that it is only the third time I've golfed an actual game, not in a best ball tournament, I'm not disappointed.

It's still hot only today was also humid and we got another thunderstorm.

Son leaves Thursday for his vacay in Edmonton.

Still waiting on news.  sooner rather than later would be really awesome!

Have a great week all!

The PGA championship is in town and I was offered a free pass for tomorrow.  The bad news is tomorrow is my Aunt Lola's funeral.  I'm hoping that I will have another chance to stalk Lefty one of these days.

Q'rs
My neighbor deep fried a turkey this morning, so I'm enjoying a sammich with before mentioned fried turkey, lettuce, tomato, bacon and mayo!
