Welcome back. This is the part of the locker room where you can sit and chat and chill for a while without offending or being shushed. Maybe you wanna watch a dvd or listen to your mp3. Yes, I rhymed. Something on your mind, post it! Random question, ask it? Hijacking is allowed and encouraged. Join the party, troll around, have a beer. It's cool. All are welcome, but please leave all BS in the hall.

First week of school down, I almost lost my sh** this morning but I didn't.

Have a good weekend.

Watched the first half of the Broncos - Hawks game last night. woof. If the regular season games are going to be called like that, I don't know how much I can watch. Brutally awful and boring

I really want to bail on work for the rest of the day and go play golf

I think I remember hearing that too, Jen

Still trying to get my daughter home.

I'm tired and crabby. I hate when the first thing I have to think about when I wake up is finances/a bill/how much money we have to spend on (insert random something here)...it just puts a damn cloud over my day. It's my birthday month, damn it! I'm not supposed to be thinking about all the money going out that's not being spent on ME!

I just need confirmation I wasn't hallucinating.
I am done and did quite well. I got 2 no name pads for Joshua. Since he tends to break things, I felt 2 for the half price of a big name was worth it. Jack's supplies are oddly the same as last year except they added ear buds. I bought 2 tv's with HD for just under 500
bucks. 37 inches {good deal I think} I also bought 12 pairs of flip flops 2 bucks. I'm in heaven. Summer has finally arrived, it's 102. I have reading to do. Stay Cool People!

Good Afternoon, Everybodee!

Daughter already in school here.  Just had open house last night.  Couple new teachers, others my older kids had.

Couple classes are art.  (Art, and Computer Art)    None of the kids have had those classes, so this was new experience.  But fun teachers.  Should be good year.

Still don't have a permanent music teacher.  And permanent sub couldn't make it last night.  (So, free period!)

School starts in Louisville on Wednesday.

Listening to Alison Lundergan Grimes speak....it's painful.
But so is listening to Mitch McConnell.

Stouts are by far my favorite style of beer, with Oatmeals being my favorite style of Stout. I went to Total Wine and built a 6 pack. My favorite out of the 6 pack was Anderson Valley. But the Breckenridge was a close second of the six. I started with that because I am familiar with their Vanilla Porter. If you have any suggestions of other Colorado Breweries let me know. Total wine carries a lot of different beers. Have you had SKA Steel Toe Stout? I saw that one yesterday but went with another selection.

Love stouts as well. My usual is either Left Hand's Milk Stout Nitro or New Holland Dragon's Milk.

I have had both the regular and Nitro Milk Stout, both excellent. I will look for the Dragon's Milk. Thanks

Oh man, this is currently my unicorn stout. I have heard tales of the Kentucky Breakfast Stout. But I have yet to actually lay my hands on one. I have heard rumors that it can be found at World of Beers on Mill Ave in Tempe. But until I can actually pick one up and taste it's delicious nectar for myself. It will continue to be a unicorn stout for me.

The KBS I've had quite a few times, the real unicorn was/is the Canadian Breakfast Stout.

Friend of mine spent a couple hundred dollars on a bottle, 8 of us shared it and it was the best thing I've ever tasted.

I'm bemoaning not being at Valhalla today to watch the PGA Championship live, but it is a bit wet, humid, and was a little rainy earlier.  I'd love to cheer Lefty on live.  It is cool to watch knowing how difficult each of the holes are.

Damn sounds like I have another unicorn to hunt when I find my current. Seeing the bottle, I know I have seen it on some must try list. But until you, I don't recall knowing anyone that has tried it.

I had it last time I was in Bowling Green.  Apparently, you can only get it there or in Ft. Thomas in Kentucky.  It's brewed in Michigan.

Yeah, I've gotten lucky with friends that really got into beer where it doesn't require me to do a lot of work, but still get enjoy them. Get Darkness every year from Surly, had a few Bourbon County from Goose Island, Zombie Dust from Three Floyd's, and Imperial Biscotti Break from Evil Twin.

I bounce back and forth between Stouts and IPAs. There are a lot of really good local
The SKA Steel Toe is good, so is the Modus Hoperandi IPA
I love everything Oskar Blues makes, the Ten Fidy is a wicked stout
Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout was mentioned, that's good
Avery Brewing makes a seasonal Bourbon Barrel Stout called Uncle Jacob's that's great if you can find it
Odell does a lot of good beers. 90 Schilling is a staple, Lugene is a super Chocolate Milk Stout
Great Divide is another brewery that is fantastic. The Yeti is their imperial stout. Very good
New Belgium, makers of Fat Tire have several I like. Ranger IPA, 1554 which is a black lager,
If you're not afraid of names, try the Wynkoop Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout
Denver Beer Company makes a lot of good ones, including the Chocolate Chili Stout
There are several dozen more locals in the metro area that make small batch micros that are incredible, I could go on and on.
We're not the beer capital of the US for nothing
