The PQ Poll

I'm polling what I've voiced my opinion about in many places.

Make people responsible for their PQ's.  Don't let them hide.  Make this a petition to the Q to know who is responssible for PQ's.

I have PQ'd someone, and I told them I PQ'd them and why.  It was for a comment that was so totally socially unacceptable, and no one deserves to be talked to the way this person chose to talk to someone.  If you're gonna PQ someone, MAN UP.

probably depends on the boss, maybe a thumb up, maybe a personalized shout out, maybe a phone call, who knows?

Its just a PQ if it really affects you that much you should probably straighten out your priorities in life. Just sayin.

Some of the PQ's I see are unnecessary. I got one for saying the DALLAS COWBOYS is a topic  that shouldn't be discussed on the Q. It was obviously a joke...or was it??? The same person will probably PQ me for this one also. BRING IT

many are unecessary.  i mean if the poll is green bay vs. chicago (a rivalry example only), most of the time opposing sides will PQ each other, and i read these like this guy is smack talking about the packers.  its more funny than PQ material, but the packers fans are like the steelers fans, anything not praising thier religion is PQ.

it's not asbout priorities of whether i get one or not.  i can say pizza is great food, and some dumbass will pq it just because they can.  i'm not saying the q needs to be a place for people to learn to take responsibilty, but it shouldn't be a place where people can just eff around with it either, considering there are rules behind the pq.

I think it would stop people from PQing people just because of difference of opinion.  Also like every comment on here has been PQed.  Is that a joke?

why? i guess i'm trying to get the powers that be to do something that the people want, instead of just making changes.

I've developed PQ tough skin - because I know what it's intended for - so I don't take it personal when someone uses it inappropriately. There will be PQ bandits no matter what we do...Oh well.

I think that when people use for what it was intended, they should have a right to remain anonymous, because if they were used the way they were intended, they'd only be used for offensive and abusive posts (which is the only thing I've ever used it for). And when you get someone who is being offensive or abusive already, the last thing you want to do is fuel that and have them direct even more attacks toward you personally for merely trying to hide their comment from the forum.

And for the record, abusive and offensive posts do NOT mean just stating your unpopular opinion....it's personal attacks, cussing, basically anything you see that shouldn't be in a thread before a moderator has a chance to edit or delete it.

ALL of that said, there just *might* be something in the works to restructure this whole PQ thing

Let's make sure we adjust the PQ's before fixing the glitches  And to make sure the PQ's I receive in this poll are worth it, Cy the Water Spout blows dog.

I love how everyone has been PQ'd in this poll.
#25 | 2376 days ago

I think to reduce the number of inappropriate 'PQ-ing', another button should be created. Weve got smart, funny, bold, and then the 'tattle-tail" button, whats that about? If you like the post you can give the thumbs up, BUT WHY NOT A THUMBS DOWN? Are we protecting the childrens feelings here in FanIQ Kindergarten? Its either "hey good post" or "Im telling"? that aint right. Lets add a "Stupid", "Dumb", "Not Smart" or "Not Funny", or even a simple "Thumbs Down" button if you still want to tip toe around with politically correct sensitivity.

Now give this a thumbs up if you like the idea or PQ the hell out of it if you dont.

i'm glad to hear that something is in the works   I think i read that already this morning.

You talk about the personal attacks might get worse, but they might also go down because people won't be pq'ing willy nilly.

just another 3 pesos for the thread.

I read a post from Emart where he claims he PQ's every comment from a certain school, whether he thinks it deserves it or not. Too me,that is childish and not what the PQ is intended for.

Are there any outstanding glitches right now? I know a bunch of them were fixed recently...if you notice any others, could you report them or let me know?

And to make sure MY PQ's in this poll are worth it...who's Cy the Water Spout?

There's still the reply to a comment one, that refreshes the page. The I M thing refreshes in the middle of typing. After entering answers, I still get a blank page sometimes after submitting answers, and have to re answer the poll. On making polls, after putting in the info and submitting it to the review part, ahead of publishing it, it will go blank (like the answering poll one) and you have to start over. I've had all these happen yesterday or today (not sure on the blank page on answering the poll one, that might not have happened in the last two days).

And Cy blows dog, and don't try and tell me he's some retarded bird again, he's a stupid water spout.

The "funny" was for the Cy comment.
Everything else, I'll check and see which have tickets and which don't; for those that don't, I'll make one. Thanks for the run-down!
