We need to make histroy and put a woman president in the white house but I would never vote for Hilary. So Rach, you'd better step it up!

That's a loaded question. I know for a fact I won't be voting for one in 2008. I will wait for Rach! You go girl!

I think Secretary Rice may end up being the first minority and the first woman to set foot in the White House... just maybe not the Oval Office right off the bat. I think she'd make an excellent V.P. nominee, someday. Not so sure about Senator Clinton's chances, although women often decide presidential elections...

We so need to try letting a woman run this country...we make all of the practical decisions in life anyway.

Depends on the candidate

I wouldn't vote for a female simply because she was female... I would have to feel like the candidate was worth voting for regardless of gender.

Understanding the way foreign values are, a woman will not command respect from many nations of the world no matter what country she may represent. Do I believe a woman is capable of making the right choices as a president? Yes.

I would vote for the best candidate, regardless of gender. If it happened to be a woman, then she gets my vote, no question about it

I think the role of president is a position where the president is supposed to be powerful and intimidating.....you can not really achieve this with a woman. Unless you are part man and part woman like Billary Clinton.....

but if the candidate was more worthy than the other candidates i guess i would vote for her

I'm not so sure anyone who runs our country knows what to do during war :P Seems like the last couple major conflicts we've gotten involved in have been poorly executed.

And you think the men of this country command respect from other nations? Please... America is simply not looked upon very well by the majority of the world's other nations at this point, and I'm not so sure President Bush is "commanding" respect from other world leaders.

A woman will not get any respect whatsoever from any Arab nation. In the real world that we live in,whether we like it or not, that is relevant.

That is an good point you raise... I do wonder how other countries with female prime ministers have handled foreign affairs. It would be interesting to look into.

#27 | 2511 days ago

Think about how demoralizing it would be for a country that treats their women like crap to get beat in a conflict by a country with a female leader. That actually sounds quite appealing.
